And 2nd Ruby Dragon is on the way. And Katherine and Lesley got one today as well. If I didn't understand statistics at all, I might think some metaphorical gates were opened wider or something.
It sure is a good thing you understand statistics, other wise you might be misled.
By the way just hit level 33 . I have 2 habitats available now , so I squeezed in a sun habitat and thinking of putting another. I just don't have room for anything else! I think it's time for a new island... Feeling a little cramped over here
Got my last Ruby, thank the BFS gods for that one! Now to get the Evergreen, Pollen, and Malachite...I think I have my first Pollen. Seven hour breed...here's hoping for easier breeds since I am so far behind!!!
Congrats on the Ruby success, and Pollen. Wouldn't think Evergreen would take long to get, Malachite seems to be a bit more on the shy side. koala with these, hope it doesn't take too long.
My newest project has been quite the grind as well. I have 7 of my Pans raised to level 18 (along with the one level 20). It's super tough. Only 34 more to go! Giddy-up!

Hi Sorry to hear about your predicament , but the man upstairs closes one door so the next door will be better! My mom use to tell me this and I really never believed it. Till a couple of years ago. You are at a place in time for a reason and once that is finished you move on. Just like friends on the net they come in your lives when we need them and move out quietly when we don't. chin up take a rest it will come yes even in this economy keep the faith. Xoxox Fairy dust coming your way to receive the dragons that will bring you a big again..
Aww thanks MsStormy. I appreciate that advice and the gems that you have given me too! And tell that fairy dust to send me a malachite dragon
The only dragon that won't show up in that thread is the Steel dragon, which is common. Cold+Metal will get it for you quickly, with a chance of breeding a Mine dragon instead.
The DV Breeding Calculator might also be of use to you: dvcalc.pf-control.de/ It's a browser app where you can derive the possible outcome of a pair of dragons.
I managed to get rubys x3 with no effort yesterday between two of my accounts. I wonder if the percentage of getting them varies from time to time.
"I wonder if the percentage of getting them varies from time to time."
Unequivocal "yes" to this. Between Phibes74 and myself, we've combined for almost 150 breeding attempts without a single Ruby. From time to time, from person to person, from yoghurt flavour to flavour, success at chance varies.

This may be minor and vary due to collection times, but its actually more DC-efficient to level them together rather than one at a time (as they level up the production value per food goes down exponentially). In a long grind like Panlongs to 20, that should add up.

Bang-on! Jack will have to sweep his Earth habitats every 46 minutes and 29 seconds pretty soon

Now I am curious.
Jack has 14 habitats. He will eventually have them all filled with level 20's because he is Jack (This has been verified in the past)
Level 20's with double boosted Fire/Water make 540 DC / Min. Three of them in each habitat make 1620 min. It will take 46 minutes and 29 seconds to max the habitat.
If he has a perfect day of sweeping on the dot of all 14 habitats triple level 20 Pans for 16 waking hours he will make:

I can't remember ever having a "perfect day" , but I do sweep them very regularly. I started tending them at 6:30 this morning, it's 4:55 PM right now, and they have only topped out at $75,000 once today. I have only been able to manage leveling up one Pan per day, especially at 1,312,000 units of food per dragon. Not very exciting, but I like having a target in my sights. It ain't easy being me!

Understood. These Pans were all at level 17 already. I am only raising them one level per dragon. It's a conditioning exercise. Remember when you thought going to level 10 was tough? And then you thought it was ridiculous to go to level 15? I could go to level 20, one Pan at a time, but it's brutally tough. So I'm conditioning myself to think level 18 is easy? It's really not...yet.

To clarify, the % of getting them varies, but the % chance of success is the same. ~7% in the EBI every time. Doesn't matter if you have been on a good or bad run. Every time you put Chrome + Scorch in the Breeding Island you have 7% chance of making a Ruby.
