OK, so here is the question for the experts on devices. I am playing DV on an ipod Touch 32. Since the update I have had problems with the freezing and crashes. I did a complete power down and then restarted and it stopped the continual freezing and crashing. Now however, it has started again. But, it is only crashing, no freezing! AND only when I try to race. So it is something with the racing update.
Now, it can't be the internet connection as was suggested since I only play on wifi. My hubby has an ipad that he plays on and has not experienced the problem.
Here is the question - Since my ipod is an older generation could it be that the "older" devices can not handle the update? Due to code, or whatever? Just a thought!
Sorry, can't help as an expert. Have been searching around to see if there has been any news as to the why/how of the freezing and crashing. All I can tell you is you are not alone, there are tons of people reporting this problem. Hoping they will be able to track down the problem and get it resolved soon. They are not the type of devs to ignore problems, so I would suspect they are hard at work on a fix.

I'm not much of a geek, but that sounds like it maybe memory, because doing a close then restart would clear it so (almost) all the memory is freed. I use an iPhone 3 128mb eDRAM and haven't had any crashes, I think you have the same 128mb but it may be an older and less efficient chip. Over to the geeks on that!
My stepdaughter still doesn't had a ruby after trying with both caves all month Can I have some collective koala sent her way please?
Trying to send some good vibes, I got a gold and then a ruby after trying this week but I did 'cheat' by buying a small bag of gems & speeding incubation of the lower time ones like 8 gems to incubate & hatch.
Mine wasn't my connection as I was using WiFi and had a download speed of 25mb and an upload speed of 7mb, both typical for me. However, late last night I was able to get through a few races without the freeze, but then it started to freeze again so I called it a night.
I haven't tried yet today, will in a little while. Hopefully whatever the issue is will be resolved, otherwise I'll just be patient with it. I am getting the reward, so at least I don't have that problem.
I see you are on an ipad, how old is it? I was freezing a lot and crashing a little then it got continual. So I powered off and then powered back up. It seemed to fix it for a little while. Yesterday evening it started again. However, this time it is only crashing, no freezing.
I play on an Ipod Touch, I think it is 4th Gen and so it is an older device. My hubby plays on an ipad and has not had any trouble.
We think it could be the older devices are having trouble keeping up with the game since it has now gotten so big!!
Just our opinion!
I have an iPad 2. Purchased at the end of January of this year. I was the first user of it. The games I had been playing on my Android Phone were having issues, so I decided to drink the kool-aid and get myself an iPad 2. My hubby wanted me to wait for the iPad 3, but I was desperate.
I also make sure all apps are closed before opening a new one, otherwise my other games don't work well, so it isn't a space/memory issue for me at least.
Side note, only 2 times this AM did the game freeze on me. I've run at least 25 races today, maybe more, with only 2 freezes, so I think the problem may be resolved.
If anyone hasn't tried racing a Ruby on the Cherry Road track, you have to try it. It is really hard to see the lines when you go up against a full grown Moon, Rainbow, Sun, and Gold, but you have the chance to win 2 gems. I was sooooo mad because my Gold Wheel had 1 gem, 2 gem, 1 gem, 1 gem, 2 gem, then food, coins, XP and it landed in the middle on one of the 1 gem spots, then skipped to the paltry 25xx food one. I was like NOOOOOOO............My kids laughed at me. Brats.
Blimey. Good thing I didn't put my Panlongs in to breed for more, I need my areas clear to breed these babies. I honestly didn't think we'd get any new dragons this week , with the race track and extra island update coming out.
Does anyone know how many dragons fit on the new Olympus habitat? I bought it without reading the write up , silly me, I was just caught up in the excitement I guess 😊😊

It fits 3. Enough room for one of each Olympus dragon.

More seriously, though, one way to try to deduce the breeding elements is to race Special dragons and see what elements are good and bad for the new dragons.
One guy said a Fire/Metal got him a Gold Olympus dragon. Another guess is Mountain/Forge. I'm not going to try unless we get a confirmation.
