I don't know what is making certain parks crash. People are reporting my outpost as crashing, yet I have very few paths.
Pixie, For the record, I have never crashed after visiting your park. Maybe the people who did had mail waiting for them.
Good to know, thanks.
Looks like there are 2 type of crashing, those that happen everyday at the same outposts, and those that happen when interrupted by a visitor at our home outpost.
The everyday at the same outposts are probably what we need to send to BFS.
I finally realised what this game needs: EXPLOSIVES!
Whem BFS increases the levels beyond 50, they need to add a difficult goal that unlocks a new icon. Something like 'Remove 5 Cosmic Cherry Trees'. Once that icon is unlocked you are given an explosive charge to blow up one of the meteors that is blocking the expansion of your outpost in a direction that you want to go. Let's see what those BFS programmers are made of!

Oh I love this! You need to post this in the Attn: BFS thread; brilliant!
Well it took the BFS engineers to unfreeze my goals. Just got an email from them! Yipppppeeeeee
Chili, Sorry about your coins, I was that way at level 49 as I was using all spare coins for clearing to level up. At that point I basically quit battles until I leveled up.
Pixie, I have noticed that my crashes sometimes coincide with mail, others may just be a visitor that does not speed anything up..
I have not crashed on your outpost in 2 days now... I am crashing on the same few that the others are. Chad, Darrian, Mindo. However yesterday I started crashing on Deb. Go figure. I think that there are several different problems going on with the game. A couple times after the crash my friends list was gone or the icons were gone. So, it has something to do with that also.

Yay, so happy your goals are fixed! Now they know how to fix it!

I love this idea. I was so tired of discovering that I couldn't expand where I wanted that I finally took the map on the gizmo wiki of possible expansions and put it into an excel document. I then figured out where I had already expanded and some of the places I want to expand. I know it's a little OCD, but I enjoyed doing it.
And for the info pile on crashes, today I did not crash after either chili or deb, even though I crashed on both yesterday.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

Hi Lily! Thank you for your iPad info. Your iPad2 runs on 512 MB DDR2 RAM so there isn't a lot of access memory to run these memory intensive games like DV and Gizmo. What you need to do before playing DV or Gizmo is close all other apps before opening your games. Do the following: 1. Press the 'Home Key' twice (you will see several app buttons on bottom screen). 2. Press, and hold, one of the app buttons until you see 'X's in the upper left corner of each app button. 3. Proceed to press each 'X' until all app buttons are cleared. 4. Press 'Home Key'. 5. One extra step I was told by Apple to do is to hold down 'Home Key' for 5 seconds. A message will say 'Slide to Close'. Close iPad. This force closes the device and all apps. Just an extra step to clear up the RAM. RAM activity is automatically erased when power is shutdown to computers, phones, tablets, etc. 6. Another piece of info from Apple. You can erase your browsing cache (cookies, etc.). RAM will send data to the cache filling it up causing iPad to be slow which in turn causes those annoying crashes in our beloved games.
The following is a small description, from Apple, about RAM and Hard Drive Memory:
Computers have two kinds of storage. The hard disk drive retains data even when the power is off, and it stores the Mac OS (operating system, what makes it all work), all of your applications, data files, music, pictures, and so forth. The hard drive is semi-permanent storage (hard drives can and do fail, which is why we recommend backups). RAM is kind of like a scratch pad, where the computer puts everything it is working on right now. The RAM is forgotten when you shut down. All your work is saved to the hard drive. If you are retouching a photograph in Photoshop, it will be much faster if the computer can read the entire photo off of the hard disk and into RAM at once. If you don’t have enough RAM, the computer will have to keep constantly swapping data between the hard drive and RAM, and things will operate more slowly. Data in RAM can be manipulated very fast, while reading and writing to a hard drive is much slower.

Sorry to throw so much info at you. Hopefully it helps and the other members see it also. Keep me posted on your efforts.

Did all of the above, turned iPad back on, went directly to GN and opened an outpost that always crashes........collected robux..........tapped home..........crash So sad. Had so wanted it to work for me, hope it helps someone else.

Yippie, Terri! I'm glad your goals are fixed.
More confusing crash data: My son has my 3rd generation ipod touch from 2010 (32g, running ios 5.1.1) and he doesn't crash when visiting my outpost.
My landing zone just changed. Any help speeding up my new 48 hour steam zone would be greatly appreciated!
I haven't done my outpost visits for today. I'll wait to see if anyone else buys this to help you along. Post here if you do and/or add me - !!vp!! - so I can be of assistance.
Thanks, Cyn! Glad you spotted the new stuff. See that the snowy trees are still in the market, but the holiday stuff is gone and so is Yetti.
Only found out by checking my goals. I am glad for something new. I wanted to see how far BFS would take the "Buy another..." goal so instead of selling off my cheaper deco items, I kept them. After buying a third and then a fourth of everything, it wanted me to acquire a FIFTH! Just how many Aristarchus Dioramas do they think an outpost needs!?!

Sped up your new zone, then crashed, lol! Gotta love it!
Am so close to leveling up am going to wait until then to buy the zone rather than nuke something already in place.

THANKS for the speed up! It took 13-14 hours off the time.
Luckily, I had an empty Astro zone I sold off as I have been trying with zero luck to get my fifth Astro.
As for the breeding, it might be like Astro in that you need two hybrids. I just tried welder/ spray ( heat/liquid) and got a 7 hour spray. Then I noticed that while the STEAM symbol on the hologram is a yellow color, the STEAM symbol on the bot page is brown. I'm trying YETI/WELDER next.
