In response to Fletch's request in this post: dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=gzarena&thread=515&page=1#78910 Here are some of the glitches I have come across in the short time I have been playing GZ: 1. Sometimes "Your friend gave/sped up..." What happened to the person's ID? I like to know who is being generous. 2. If you have two identical Bots incubating and you deploy the first one ready, the one not yet ready gets the "Bot ready" sparkles even though it is not. 3. I got a goal to buy the Hydro Bot when I was on level 9 even though it is not available until L12 4. When I finally cleared that goal (L14) it was by breeding it even though breeding was not offered as an option in the goal. Not complaining mind. 5. Sometimes I don't get the cool down period after fighting in the arena. 6. I regularly get a goal of buy XXX zone even though I have all the zones I am allowed at my level. This is frustrating as the goal has to just sit there for sometimes up to a week. 7. When playing on the phone, I am unable to zoom in far enough to see the time remaining. Frustrating when visiting as I cannot work out what to speed up for maximum benefit to my friend 8. Speedups take more than half an hour to come through, which make short speedups pointless (See item 7) 9. Crashes happen several times a day There have been others but these are the ones that come to mind right now.
Note that I don't see any of these, except the last as being serious, but the fact that there have been no updates to fix any of them, nor any new Bots since I started playing are pointers that BF are not putting any resources into this game, which is a pity as it has elements that are superior to DV.
Main GCID: GregDarcy Secondary: GregDarcyToo All gems friends spoken for. Happy to accept friends for party hats. I blame Apple's auto incorrect for all my typos. I actively discourage challenges. All challengers are unfriended.
I've been reading the battle thread, and it makes me wonder, if it gets so expensive to lose as you level up, what is the point of leveling up quickly? At player level 12 I still have a lot of bots I can make and so I am keeping my bots a level 9. I can increase their earning power cheaply and I can still play with diverse combos instead of relying on a sure-thing combo, which seems to me to be a game mechanic flaw.
Am I missing something? Is there really a reason to increase player level before I get my bot incomes up?
I'm maxed out on gem trades, but always happy to connect for park appreciation purposes.

If you're patient enough, then boosting income in the Battle Arena whilst at a lower level is a good way to go.

Responses:
1. Obvious resolution to this one is not to delete your messages, and read them again when your GcID connects properly. 2. This is in the wide view. Clicking on the Baby Bot station shows what is actually going on. 3. Interesting. Maybe they had a different combo in mind originally. 4. Yes typo in the goal description. 5. Yes, sometimes the battle doesn't take and you get a second shot at it. 6. A glitch in the Steam zone doesn't count it towards your total, so the game thinks you have a spare one to use. Those wanting to make themost of that goal currently leave one free, but at the lower levels it would be hard to justify it. 7. I think that's just a short coming of the phones display size rather than a glitch. 8. I have never experienced this. When playing with my family, speed ups are instantaneous. 9. Haven't had a crash since I can't remembers when. DV was crashing for me all last week thought, so I think it's just one ofthose things that happen occasionally.

Fletch, you miss the point. The glitches per se are not the issue. The issue is that BF does not fix them. This is a pointer to this game being orphaned, which is a sad thing as it has a lot of promise.
Yes my DV goes through periods of crashes. Then they bring out an update and it is fine until the next update. But at least it is being worked on.

I understand your point. None of the glitches you listed were in the game when it was first released. The game other issues when it was released in September. They are not listed by yourself because they were fixed before you started playing. As you point out each new game update brings new problems. The time spent of developing a game has to be in proportion to the revenue it generates. It will never make the money DV does, so it will never have the resources that DV has. They will get to the problems (zone goal is really only the urgent one IMO) and sort them out, but I would rather they release more bots, or a shrine equivalent than concentrate on any of the other things in your list.
Everybody remember the crashing that happened while trying to visit neighbor outposts? Remember how many quit and abandoned the game because of it? Took forever to fix, but now visiting is a breeze. IOW, the glitches being reported are so small compared to the before mentioned visiting crashes, I hardly even notice the long list, and don't encounter some of them at all.
The problem with GN is that it will never make much revenue because of the speed ups - I think BFS underestimated how powerful they are. No matter how long something takes, with 4 or 5 speed ups, the time becomes pretty negligible. Even the 7 day meteors can easily be cleared in less than a day (although it's hard to imagine anyone would spend over 150 crystals to speed it up...)
In addition, there is hardly any use for crystals in GN. I use mine for speeding up short fails, mainly because I don't really have any other use for them.
You can't buy anything with them (except the baby bot station extensions which are very cheap) either.
On top of all this, they are relatively easy to get - with a few 'Win a Battle' goals, it's pretty easy to get 10 per day.
So basically:
- Easy to get crystals - Nothing to spend crystals on - No need to be patient with long timers due to speedups (I think the longest I've waited for a master bot is about 8 hours!)
---> Hardly anybody is going to purchase crystals.
And given how easy it is to obtain excessive amounts of robux and food, I can hardly imagine anyone is going to spend real $$ on those.
It is a good game with some good potential, but not a great business model which unfortunately means not a lot of love from the BFS people on this project.

New Bot, Nuclear, has been released! ...too bad I still haven't bred a Hydro yet...
