Hi Nikii welcome to the forum. You have certainly found the right place to find ppl to exchange gems with. If you look back through this thread you will find other new people such as yourself looking for gem partners. Most folks post their GCID so feel free to add them and if nothing else you can hunt for party hats. Try PMing ppl to ask if they would like to do gem exchange with you. While you're at it go here , our introduce yourself thread and tell a little about where you are in the game and stuff. We addicts love to hear about everyone's progress.
Hi all, Thanks for all the feedback, tips, and ideas in approach moving forward. It being summer vacation, we (the boys and I --aka: Dragonb0y & lukiemomo) were camping and off of the grid, so to speak. I think they lost interest with increasing loading times for DV. They can't understand the new "Enter" icon which seems to defeat approaching DV from either the app itself & Game Center logging in. They have both noticed that other newer GC apps, for example, "My Singing Monsters", which is hauntingly similar in play, appearance, and appeal as DV, now will load up (retrieve a gamer's info) before one 'enters', as in DV. Therefore, you're only "streaming" once that step is completed allowing for a much more stable platform and "bookmarking" point for servers to begin from, markedly denoting where a player should be should a crash occur. You can see the countdown before a load-- 20% complete, etc, 'til 100%, at which point one can then "enter" and begin play. I've done all of the above, I thank each of you!! I will be going to Apple soon for a different purpose, but to answer the question it is the iPhone 4, not 3 or 3GS, and a MacPro, not an iPad, but I will certainly bring that up, too. I would think other apps would be, as stated, sluggish, too though. And crashing!! But no other apps, Apple platform, Android Google hybrids, nor 2-3 dozen other GC games in either of my two accounts, nor the boys. Oh, and they're rough on stuff being 11 & 6. And they're not easy on the IT guys, nor polite. Often leaving various apps open, streaming in competition on same and multi game devices and accounts. I don't mean to be sour grapes, but that is how I lost interest, too. That and the Coliseum difficulties, gems, and the really unfriendly 'sort' buttons for a 5'11" gal that suffered basketball and softball finger injuries in years past as possibly defining my keyboard abilities for DV as clumsy or not nibble enough to find the Sweet Spot somewhere, vaguely nearby where its now most definitely labeled. And as a Level 45 player, what's the incentive to stay with so much frustration now. I'll revisit y'all, check in. Loyalty. But, until major fixes...I can't see us enjoying DV as a family as we once did.

See I haven't left you all yet!! -- can't stand a typo nor Suri mocking me. I'm trying to explain that to get to Level 45 I must be somewhat agile and nimble, self-deprecating, in approach, and I, impassioned about DV had momentarily forgot that imposing Suri changes 'nimble' to nibble. Yeah, she's getting shut off too for not playing nicely in the sandbox with others. Ah, Textual Healing. < Or at least, justification. > Nightie-night!

Completely agree and understand! I too have noticed other "Hasbro" and "BFS" games are far quicker and easier to load. Like you said, counting percentage to load times. My personal play has shortened greatly since the addition of the "enter" button. Instead of checking DV hourly or every 3-4 hours; it might get checked once a day or twice. Mainly to send gems.
I wonder if in some ways it's part of them having to catch up on servers with the capability to both host and comply with the new IT laws. Also requiring https for a more secure experience from hacking. Either way...many players have either left or slowed tremendously. Sad for BFS and Hasbro!
