For those who are putting up 3 gems into the competition pot (which I think is totally amazing on your part), 2 go to the winner, 1 goes to the runner up. This allows the runner-up pot to be a little bigger. Coming in second last and getting so little is quite the shaft. It's the nature of competition, I understand. But through your generosity, the runner-up receives a prize that recognizes the difficult time they had too.
