Fornit and everyone with an older device: Regarding the game animation on older devices: The first thing I would do is to turn off the orbs/crowns on each dragon. Click on each dragon, at the bottom of the pic, toggle the crown to off. Set your Weather Station to: NONE.
Store as many of the high animation decorations in your Storage Tower as possible. Some decorations only have a light and I am guessing they are not as much of a drain on CPU as the moving decorations. Also some decorations are only occasionally animated (Astrovane/Umbral Sculpture). Pick and choose which you want to leave in your park and which to store. Maybe rotate different decorations in and out of your park for variety and to determine which ones slow the game. You obviously want to leave Goody’s Sugar Shack, Goody’s Treatery, and Relic of Epics in your park as they serve gameplay. I suspect the new Rift Pedestals, even though the animation seems minimal, may be affecting older devices. I would not be collecting them on an older device.
This may not be all but here is a list of animated decorations: (let me know of any others you may find and I’ll update this) 5th Anniversary Statue 6th Anniversary Statue Astrovane Berrywhite Tree Bewitching Hearts Bouquet Bubbler Broom Eating Tree Candelabra Cursed Clock Earthen Altar Eternal Flame Everburning Candles Fancy Lamp Farry’s Wheel Fated Fount Frostpetal Lamp Frosty Filigree Frozen Fountain Gloominaire Heated Air Balloon Kairos Klepsydra Lamp Mirror of the Triptych Orlon’s Pavilion Pagoda Paper Lantern Pool of Screams Pumpkin Party Pylon of Aquafication Pylon of Blazing Luminance Pylon of Fulmination Pylon of Glaciation Pylon of Perennial Growth Pylon of Thaumaterra Pylon of Volcanism Pylon of Zephyrism Rainbow Fountain Rustic Cave Sandakloz’s Hut Shell of Serenity Shell of Surprise SHRINES Snowglobe Spooky Tree Starfall Monument Starlight Spruce Swimming Hole The Crystal Castle The Guardian’s Gate The Vernal Glass Tiki Torch Trimeric Torches Transfiguring Tree Twilight Vines Umbral Sculpture Vernal Fountain Volcano Whitbee’s Castle Whitbee’s Lantern Window of Reverie Wisp Lantern Witches Cauldron

Since January and February were both late, they are still running too, which is probably a record now for the most amount of active POTM polls running concurrently, haha. January will be wrapping up shortly though, so don't miss your chance to vote. Thanks to all who've contributed.
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but there's a bug with rift islands and airship quests. If you send a dragon from the rift to the airship quest before you take the etherium, all of the etherium will disappear.

Cyn, thank you for this list of decorations! It reminded me of a question I've had for some time. Is there a post somewhere that explains what it means when the decorations change appearance or animation?
For example, I bought the Umbral Sculpture because I thought it was pretty, but didn't know what it meant when it changed from its normal blue to black with a glowing gold aura. Now I know (and just confirmed with your post of 2/22/2017 showing some of your amazing decorating skills! ) it means the Eclipse dragons are breedable during that time. What other decorations change and what does the change signify?
I fear this may be a lengthy answer, so my thanks in advance!
drow your parent finder is very popular today. "Internal server error". Had to use the app. 😥😢😰 Thank you for all your hard work. I wish I had even a bytes' worth of your talent.

the sandbox parent finder has been torn apart and rebuilt, better and faster than before.
the technical stuff: before today's change, the page would make an ajax query to a cgi script on the server, which would load the parentage data out of the pre-gen database, adjust results lists based on the checkboxes, calculate percentages, weights, and average breeding times, and return it all to the client. it would also cache the results to a private store for the next time someone made the same query, but that doesn't save my upstream bandwidth, and that became a problem.
now, the parent finder control javascript and cgi script reside on the dvboxcdn.tk server, which all goes through cloudflare. yay, cross-origin resource sharing. most of the process is similar, except that the results are cached in a web-accessible json file, and the cgi script issues a redirect to it. there are now four connections to the server for each query (preflight OPTIONS to cgi script, GET cgi script, preflight OPTIONS to cached json, GET cached json), but crucially the one which shifts all the data (GET cached json) is clean and can be cached by cloudflare's servers. the cache filename is an md5 hash of the dragon name, options checkboxes, and last-modified time of the pre-gen database, so when any of that changes a new cache file is generated and the old one silently rots away.
edit: and if you convince prototype.js to not send its x-custom headers in the request, the browser will skip the two preflight requests. so that's better.
the next step would probably be to pre-load a list of existing json files, and check that first before going to the cgi script. there are some expiration issues to work out, though.

Edit: I have a question...
Is it worth buying the the eggs of Mystery on the Rift? Ir are they a waste of time?
Many have found them a more excellent useage of E than breeding... I've got xlnt progeny from all of them (not that I was aiming to collect twin gem and peds, but then suddenly there were additional gem habitats available, so hibernate those surplus ) however caveat is, depending on what you already have, and type of mystery egg you buy eg if you have all elemental dragons and peds, but want their twins and peds, then the simple ME is a good buy; and similar for the other types... But 'no repeats' isn't guaranteed 😈
im sure an LOTV will chip in w better detail, sorry, this is a bit inadequate 🐨🐨🐨
I’m buying the Gem Stone mystery eggs right now, trying to complete my twins. 😁. I have found buying Gemstone habitats is a very looong term investment. With two dragons per habitat, at one gem per week each, it takes 18ish months to “pay” for the habitat 🤓 I bought a lot in my first two years of the game, so they are now mortgage free 😉 kicking myself for not getting the monoliths mystery eggs when I had a chance 😕. And, I’m still a bit confused with the other mystery egg categories, not sure what will hatch from then 🤣🤣

Taxes, ugh!! No worries, I totally understand. Thanks for getting back to me!
I just asked my accountant koala to come visit you.. You'll know it's him -- he always has a pencil tucked above his ear and will be carrying his beloved 10-key adding machine. When you see him, please approach him slowly and speak in a low, soothing voice. He's quite stressed out, as you can imagine, and startles easily. His name is Bob. 🐨✏️

POTM!!
lol I need 🐨Bob most desperately! I still haven’t filed and those dastardly receipts and w2s keep glaring at me from my home desk!! I’ll make sure Bob has plenty of chamomile tea (or espresso shots if he prefers), gentle waterfall sounds (from my fish pond) and soothing ocean breezes. And of course a convenient outlet for his 10-key 🤓
