So far I've managed to breed two Wick dragons in the rift, first one air trait, second one metal trait. But I really want one without a trait so I'm still trying for that.
Also, the baby Wick dragon is positively tiny! I put him in a habitat and had to spend a minute or two trying to find him because he was hidden behind his bigger dragon friends. I'd say the Wick dragon wins the award for tiniest baby form of them all.
We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.
Nope. My punishment time is not up yet...but almost. Are you sure your time just did not run out? It is around 6 weeks since last purchase that Tolzar reappears. This has been true for several members who have tracked this for a couple of years now. This is not including events because he shows up for everyone during events.
For me, Tolzar’s removal has always lasted 8 weeks. I’ve had Tolzar removed twice. The first time it was exactly 8 weeks. The second time was 8 weeks and 2 days. The 2 extra days were due to an event wrapping up (in the hopes I’d make a last minute purchase and restart another Tolzar-less 8 weeks). This was before Tolzar was used in events for event currency.
My most recent in-app purchase was 50 days ago (7 weeks and 1 day). But the fact that Tolzar isn’t in your game is proof that nothing has been fixed. Maybe there was some delay and Tolzar’s disappearance is longer than 6 weeks or maybe something changed and it’s now shorter than 8 weeks. It doesn’t really matter. All that matters is making an in-app purchase still results in no Tolzar for many, many weeks.

Send both of your traited Wick dragons over to the regular vale and breed them together. You can’t get traited versions on that side. 😊

Deca, please fix this, thanks!
I guess I have never considered it a bug or a glitch to be fixed because unfortunately I think it is working just as BFS/Hasbro intended it to work. I hope Deca changes the policy to not punish players who spend money with the company. I have lost out on over 200 gems while waiting out my time so far while all other family games and others that didn’t spend money have not.

If removing Tolzar was intentional, then it would’ve been done immediately after the in-app purchase. That’s how it’s always worked in the past. Instead, Tolzar disappeared 2-4 weeks after our Runestone purchase (after the Xmas event ended) when Bouldershock was released. Also, paying players are not the only ones affected by Tolzar. Everyone’s game is affected, which indicates a bug. If you made a recent purchase, Tolzar is gone. If you made a purchase but it was more than 6-8 weeks ago, you only have 2 ads from the Oracle. If you’ve never made a purchase you’re now receiving 4 ads from the Oracle (I made a more in-depth post about this in the Staff thread that explains why this is buggy and how it’s identical to the Xmas bug).
I agree it was a terrible practice by BFS, that’s now evolved into a glitch, and it looks like there is no end to it if Deca can’t find how to fix it.

To add to the Tolzar question, here is my experience. I never make purchases in my main park. I like seeing how far I can get without spending a dime. As you said, I have four oracle ads and two market ads in that park. When I want to support the developers, I spend money in my baby park. I purchased a runestone on December 30. According to your post, I should have lost Tolzar in that park. However, Tolzar never completely disappeared. (It is possible that he disappeared for a few days, and I forgot, but I know he didn’t disappear for weeks.). However, I have been getting only two Tolzar ads and one market ad. This is, of course, especially annoying since my main park has over 2,000 gems and my baby park doesn’t even have 600. It is sad that they chose to punish players for making purchases. Maybe Hasbro made them do it. I’ll try to think well of BFS. After all, I can see evidence of their concern for the players. For instance, when I returned to the game I was amazed that my colosseum seemed to finish earlier each day. I finally looked at the timer and discovered that the colosseum, as well as the other 24 hour timers, are now only 23 hours. Thank you BFS.
I love my vine dragon avatar created by ElektronX. Now, if only BFS would add it to the game...

I am not getting Tolzar or the sponsor ads in the market. I am also not getting the offer to watch a video for the 2 additional colosseum gems. Is anyone else having this problem too? I did purchase a runestone on Jan 06
Had to come back and find this post to try to find out what limiteds are coming up next. That way I can focus on getting the needed parent dragons in the rift to breed them when they arrive. I couldn’t try for rosegold in the rift this time because I didn’t have a gold. I don’t much care right now whether I have a rift version or regular. I’m just trying to get one somewhere in my park so that I have it, and the rift gives extra breeding chances. I didn’t have what I needed to try for any of the other newer limiteds either since I needed a rift love and didn’t have it.
So, I searched for this post so that it won’t happen with the next batch of limiteds. Sadly, the dragons I am missing due to my departure from the game are not listed. I couldn’t find any other such list in the encyclopedia or the wiki. Maybe I’m missing it, or maybe it is so much work to compile and so changeable that no one else has done so. Oh well. I guess I will have to be satisfied with lots of missing dragons. I guess that’s what I get for leaving to focus my time and energy on other things.
I’d really love to have some of the dragons I’m missing. However, instead of bemoaning my fate, I will focus on all the things I was able to do during my time away from DV... You know what, I am feeling better already. It was worth the missing dragons.

@waptango I don't know how long you have been away from the game or how many dragons you are missing, so this may, or may not be of any help.
The wiki has a release calendar. Unfortunately it is not up to date, but it will give an idea of when some of the older limited dragons may be released again.
Another source would be the Event History thread in this forum. The first page always gives the new dragons that were released in the event, so hopefully they would be able to be bred again at the next similar event.
If you are after a particular dragon, the Wiki lists the dates when the dragon was available to breed and when it was made unavailable again. Just search the desired dragon, it also tells you which event it was released in.
In this down time, I am sure that your friends would happily put some wanted dragons in co-op for you. Beware the evolved dragons and the rift exclusive dragons though, they can not be cloned in co-op.
The very excellent Encyclopaedia Dracontine is kept up to date with dragons that are currently available and also shows all dragons and their breeding hints.
I hope that this helps and it is not too overwhelming. Of course, Deca may change everything and not release the dragons in the same order that BFS did........

wapatango, although MinyaZ already expertly addressed your post, I would like to add a little to the reply if you don’t mind.
Whenever I need detailed info about a dragon, like its history of release dates, I’ll google the dragon’s name + dragonvale. Wiki is usually one of the the first results. Or you can open wiki and type the dragon into their search box. If you scroll down the dragon’s page you will see a list of their release dates.
I do not believe there is another source that has the release history for every dragon. Sometimes wiki doesn’t update special pages, like the Release Calendar minyaz linked. Whoever was overseeing that page may have stopped editing wiki in 2018. But the individual dragon pages are generally updated on a regular basis, so I find them reliable. Wick is the only dragon that doesn’t have a profile page yet, but since you’re looking up older dragons that are missing from your Dragonarium, all those dragons should be in wiki.
Kudos to wiki for being such an incredible and essential source for DV players, and thanks to all who edit it!

Yes, unfortunately this is an ongoing problem. Whenever Tolzar’s Optical Oracle is removed from your park, you will also have the Colosseum ad (2 gems) and the Market ad (1 gem) removed as well. I highly recommend emailing support through your game. The more players who let Deca known this is a problem, the better chance we have of getting it fixed.
If your purchase was on 6 January, Tolzar should reappear sometime between today and 2 March. Tolzar returns 6-8 weeks after your last in-app purchase. In my experience it’s been closer to 8 weeks, but some members had Tolzar reappear after 6 weeks, so hopefully you’ll see him today. Even though you’re fairly close to Tolzar’s return, please be aware this will likely happen again, so it’s important players let Deca know they’re affected so they can try to prevent it from reoccurring.
To add to the Tolzar question, here is my experience. I never make purchases in my main park. I like seeing how far I can get without spending a dime. BFS tagged our parks with tiers to identify whether or not we’ve made an in-app purchase, and how long ago. It sounds like your paying account has never lost Tolzar after you bought something. If so, either your park was mis-tagged, or perhaps in an effort to change their policy of removing Tolzar, BFS began tagging first-time-purchasing parks differently so they’ll still know you spent money but you won’t lose Tolzar.
Since the glitch, your paying park has been receiving the same amount of ads (2) from the Oracle as other paying players, whose purchase was over 8 weeks ago. If your park is permanently tagged to show all purchases are more than 8 weeks old, regardless of when you made them, you’ll never lose Tolzar after buying something. We know last summer BFS did stop the practice of removing Tolzar after an in-app purchase. So there were clear efforts made by BFS, and maybe tagging new first-time-purchasing parks differently was part of that effort.
I don’t know exactly why your park did not lose Tolzar. This is the first paying account I’ve heard from that’s escaped Tolzar’s removal. It could’ve been an error by BFS or an effort by them to change Tolzar, but either way, you are very lucky. Although, we are now stuck with 2 Tolzar Optical Oracle ads for who knows how long, indefinitely (?).
The recent Tolzar conversations have brought up an interesting topic: will players who are now receiving 2 ads from Tolzar’s Optical Oracle ever receive 3 ads again?
Players who made a recent purchase will eventually have Tolzar returned after 6-8 weeks. They will then join the tier of the other players who made purchases in the distant past. However, the Tolzar glitch changed the amount of Oracle ads from 3 to 2 in this tier, so everyone is still missing 1 ad/gem per day.
Unless the Tolzar bug is addressed, or a new event using Tolzar to earn event currency starts, and overrides the bug, there will be no correction made allowing Tolzar to return to 3 ads per day.
Since the Tolzar glitch hit on 31 January, players receiving 2 ads from the Oracle have already lost 18 gems. And with the game in transition, who know how long it’ll be till the next event. If it’s Easter (April) you could be out over 55 gems.
For those missing an Oracle ad/gem every day, if it’s impacting your gem stash or you feel this is unfair, please joining us in contacting Deca and asking them to fix this Tolzar problem once and for all. Hopefully, they can achieve what BFS unfortunately could not.
It's not unheard of for someone making a purchase and still receiving Tolzar ads, while others do not. This was actually very common a couple years ago, when I first tried to convince people this was happening in game. I would get shutdown by all the players who bought stuff and still received ads, so many players did not believe this issue even existed.
It turns out that each of us is assigned a 'tier' along with a payer status (true/false). The tiers are a combination of your device (ios, android, google, kindle, default, and many others) along with a number. Each tier/number combo along with each player status has different values in game for each specific bonus. For example, you might be assigned 2 Tolzar visions while another group may be assigned 3 Tolzar visions, and another assigned 0 because their payer flag is set to true.
We don't know what it takes to move between tiers, but it appears either the payer flag or the tier changes after 45 days and drops to a level where you can receive visions again. Perhaps buying your first pack doesn't move you between tiers or status, it could be tied to historical amounts spent too.
This whole system should just go. Making a purchase should not impact you on receiving ads, especially if it lowers your number of ads. If anything, it should increase it. Maybe they were thinking that removing ads would be viewed as a 'bonus' for paying, so you don't have to watch things, without realizing most of us would rather keep the bonus gems. Or perhaps they felt that removing ads from payers would get them buying gems more often, as they'd receive less gems overall without purchases and would feel the need to buy more. I hope it wasn't the second, but I fear it was part of the decision.
Please take it all out, give everyone the option to watch the same number of ads regardless of platform or purchases. Then add an in game purchase to allow us to skip ads, like many current games do today. That way for 5, 10 or maybe 20 dollars we can press all vision buttons and just get the reward without having to watch anything at all. It's a very popular purchase in many other games.

wapatango, maybe my dragon list can help you a little bit. It is up to date for the moment and I tried to order the limited dragons that return each year in order of the time of the year so all dragons from Valentine events come first, then easter events, then all dragons from summer events, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Winter and so on. Those are followed by the limited dragons that don't come back each year ordered by their implementation. All dragons have a number which shows in which order they made their appearance in the vale.

Wow, crumble608! I hadn't seen your dragon list before. What an amazing feat of organization and dedication! (And OCD-ness! 😉) I have duly bookmarked your list. I'm sure you have your system down, but if you ever need any help maintaining your list, let me know.
We are DV friends. If you haven't seen my park, you should check it out. It is organized entirely by dragon types: basic hybrids, golden hybrids, opposites, 3-element, 4-element, epic types and event groupings. What we thought was going to be the demise of DV forced me to come up with my "final" configuration of islands of the Backflip Era (BE), organized in the most satisfying way for me. But with the first Deca Era (DE) event coming soon, I'm guessing that I'll have to do some reconfiguration to accommodate the new dragons. Sigh...it was nice while it lasted!
I've been working on documenting my park with island pictures and organization descriptions to officially mark the end of the BE. I'll share it with folks once I've completed it.
Cheers, and keep up the good work!

Ok a different Tolzar experience : I haven’t bought anything since about 6 months after the game first started, and then it was only once. I know, cheapskate! I have two, parks, my main one and my baby one, both are fully stocked with dragons and breathing fire. I usually get 2 Tolzars in my main park, but sometimes none, and I usually get 4 Tolzars in my baby park , but occasionally none. Sometimes they appear at reset (18:00 GMT) sometimes not till the following morning. Bizarre!
Not sure why I couldn’t post underneath your post, I never seem to be able to “quote” properly 😂😂😂
crusty when you quote change to BBCode (in the down left corner of your edit window) then you'll see the commands for begin and end of the quote. Just put your answer after the [\quote] and it will show underneath the quotation window. you can check if you have done it right when you switch back to preview

Wow! Thanks crumble608 . That is extremely helpful. It seems that many dragons that were previously released at Valentine’s Day were not released this year. Honeyglow, and the many ‘flower’ dragons were not available during the three day window. Of course, many of the dragons I am missing and was wondering about don’t have a set release time. Go figure. I guess that’s why I couldn’t figure out where they belonged. I knew someone had to have made such a list. After all, this game has a lot of very loyal players who love it enough to take time to make such a list. Out of curiosity...the dragons with 6 images... does that mean they have changed their appearance since being introduced? Lycan and dawnbringer were two that had six images.

so then if I buy during the event i won't lose tolzar bc it's being used for the event but after the event something might bug out and I'll lose tolzar. I have to take a chance. I don't like it. I don't think im going to buy anything anymore.
I'm still waiting for tolzar to come back. IT'S BEEN MORE THAN SEVEN WEEKS SINCE I BOUGHT A RUNESTONE. I've been taking a picture every time I don't get the ad after the colosseum to prove that i won first place but didn't get the ad for two gems so I can ask for the gems from Deca. I looked back at my first colosseum picture it was on Jan 31 that's when tolzar disappeared from my park I guess that's when it bugged out and disappeared for everyone. That means I've lost 108 gems so far. I guess everyone has at this point. I remember when bfs stopped doing this and I had tolzar after buying stuff. But there were so many events in a row maybe they never did stop but a new event started that needed tolzar so we thought it was fixed but it wasn't. Yea I'm not gonna buy anything again unless I know it's fixed. It's not worth it.

Can you email your post to Deca so they know and help them out? They're obviously new to the game and they're not going to know everything. I'm not gonna assume they read this site and even if they do it can't hurt to help them. I know you mostly post stuff from the files and this information is obviously from the files. Even if you're reading the files wrong or parts of it wrong it will still be very helpful because it will point deca in the direction of where to look and to look at the tiers. It's great youre letting us know this information but unless Deca knows were not going to see change.
After you email them let us know what they say. I've emailed them before and they answer quickly they're very good. Please keep in touch with us and I'll keep watching this space to see what they said. You can be our spokesperson for tolzar! How cool is that! Thanks!!
