This may be minor and vary due to collection times, but its actually more DC-efficient to level them together rather than one at a time (as they level up the production value per food goes down exponentially). In a long grind like Panlongs to 20, that should add up.
Understood. These Pans were all at level 17 already. I am only raising them one level per dragon. It's a conditioning exercise. Remember when you thought going to level 10 was tough? And then you thought it was ridiculous to go to level 15? I could go to level 20, one Pan at a time, but it's brutally tough. So I'm conditioning myself to think level 18 is easy? It's really not...yet.

You can do it, Jack!
Something else to do in my retirement. It'll take that long to get there...

For those of you whose personal experiences don't reflect the 7% chances of gemstone dragon breeding (for example, you've tried 100 times but not managed to result in seven gemstone dragons), I just want to remind you that statistics don't always play out in reality as expected. There is no rule that a percentage actually occurs, but that doesn't invalidate the odds, because the odds technically are for an infinite quantity of attempts. For example, if I were to ask you to flip a coin one hundred times, and ask you how often you'd expect it to land on heads or tails, you might say fifty times each. But that is not how statistics works. Yes, it is just as likely to land on heads as tails in any given flip, but that does not translate to a perfect fifty-fifty split over a hundred flips. It is every bit as likely to land on heads one hundred times and it is to land on tails one hundred times, because each flip is just as likely to land on one as the other. You cannot therefore total up your quantity of flips and expect one hundred of them to be split evenly. Kind of counter-intuitive, if you're looking at it the wrong way. Therefore, your 7% chance of breeding a gemstone dragon applies only to each individual attempt, but not necessarily to the total average of attempts. Wonk whonk fwip bwip pleebawwwww ... That's what I'm talking about, baby, statistical clumping.
Thanks to all who sent new Blue Fire combos. When the Firework Dragon was first released, I was in the middle of my quest for the Blue Fire, so I quickly "gemmed out" my breeding caves, threw in the combos for the Firework, checked my new eggs only to discover I had already gotten one of the Firework Dragons. I remember being thrilled. Now I live in fear of getting another one! Needless to say the Blue Fire Quest will not start until that pesky little Firework has left the building!!
"I wonder if the percentage of getting them varies from time to time."
Unequivocal "yes" to this. Between Phibes74 and myself, we've combined for almost 150 breeding attempts without a single Ruby. From time to time, from person to person, from yoghurt flavour to flavour, success at chance varies.
To clarify, the % of getting them varies, but the % chance of success is the same. ~7% in the EBI every time. Doesn't matter if you have been on a good or bad run. Every time you put Chrome + Scorch in the Breeding Island you have 7% chance of making a Ruby.
Every time I put Scotch + Water I'm pretty much 100% guaranteed to feel tipsy.

Got my last Ruby, thank the BFS gods for that one! Now to get the Evergreen, Pollen, and Malachite...I think I have my first Pollen. Seven hour breed...here's hoping for easier breeds since I am so far behind!!!
Congrats on the Ruby success, and Pollen. Wouldn't think Evergreen would take long to get, Malachite seems to be a bit more on the shy side. koala with these, hope it doesn't take too long.
Thanks, so far no additional ones added. Think with the next round of switching up to the Evergreen...here's hoping. :-}

Number 3 is now breeding for me as well. I also made it to level 32 today so a good day in my parks. Back to the grind now plus still hunting for malachite and dodo.

Hey Frenzzz, after getting repeated Willows & Chromes from Metal x Willow, i decided to try a Metal x Clover.. Know what, first try, got a 12 Hr breeding.. Was excited to get my first Malachite.. Few hours later, was very disappointed to find that it turned out to be a Moss.. On other cave, it yielded an Iron.. Next try in both the caves resulted in 14Hr Tree.. Atleast Metal x Willow had a lesser failing time and more value.. Should i continue with Clover or switch back to Willow or try any different one? Help me out Frenzzz..

ya I said pretty much the same thing the other day but you made it clearer

I ended up getting enough to get the habitat and I will use my gems to speed it up once the egg is ready to hatch. I am going to try and get an iron and a chrome so I can try making a ruby before they take it away. I guess I will need to try making a Malachite as well but if that is not limited then I will try for the Ruby first.
I'm pretty sure Malachite is not limited, just hard to get. Getting Ruby should be your priority.
Yes that is my priority, I have tried the Chrome/Scorch cross twice now and got a Firework the first time and the current one is a 3hr one so either the Firefly or another Scorch, wondering if I should grow that Scorch up and make another chrome so I can try the cross in both caves?

Could not hurt. And having two of each dragon just makes good sense.

Sending a Friend request, btw.
Request accepted. I want to have two of each but so far I have kept it at one because i am worried they won't all fit in the habitats that I have! I bred my iron to my crystal earlier and got a 20hr one so I will have to wait for that to finish but I will breed another chrome when the next cave is free so I can get them both trying for a ruby tomorrow.
