So, I haven't been properly playing much recently and I was wondering, with the new breeding rules and such, what is the best way to breed for cash now?
Since the breeding rules changed to eliminate guaranteed clone breeding, the front runner appears to be Plant + Dark. Both dragons bred from this pair return over 3 million, and take around 10.5 hours (enhanced) to breed. There are other contenders but they rely on luck as one of the potential breeds is a low return, or have a very uneven breeding cycle. Making it difficult to plan.

Seeing as BFS is now starting to release Golden Hybrids, let's hope they save the new Plant + Dark hybrids for last. I'm expecting them to seriously throw off the breeding times for this combination.

DV is crashing every time I hit "social." Anyone else experiencing the same?
I was having trouble with my social menu, but I force-closed all apps, turned off my iPad, and when I turned it back on and opened DV, all was well. I did not have to uninstall.
Two questions: are chances for golden hybrids improved on the island?
And what exactly are the "upgrades" to the dragonarium? I know there is a special animation at 135 stars, but are there changes in appearance at earlier levels? Or in functionality? And what happens to the 135 star upgrade when new dragons are released, does it disappear until you are complete again or will there eventually be a further upgrade? (I guess that's more than two questions)

hmmm... I don't recall if anyone has ever actually tested it...

Yes. There are apparently 5 different Dragonarium levels but I've only seen four of the designs so far.
Or in functionality?
Not as far as I can tell. Seems to work the pretty much the same way at each level that I've tinkered with, though a higher level Dragonarium can give you more info on more dragons. For example, viewing the stages of life is only an option once you actually have one a given dragon species in your park.

Let me check the magic 8-Ball.

Unless the Wizards chime in we won't know for sure until they actually release another new dragon.
Most likely, the Dragonarium will downgrade, but I suppose it's possible that at some point there will be a level 6 upgrade.
(I guess that's more than two questions)
Yep, we'll have to take it out of next months ration...

I can tell you that at full capacity the Dragonarium gives you another tower with a dragon on top who spews fire and smoke similar to the Apoc Dragon. There is also two places on the towers which emit a crystal like light or stars into the air.
Looking around and enjoying life!

Oooooh nice, thanks Poppy! So if we suppose the button shows the most basic design, along with the two pics Crumble posted, those are images of 4/5 designs... I *almost* wish I were just starting out so I could watch the changes from the beginning...but nah, then I'd have to get my dragons all over again, and some (like Ovalith) might not be so easy to come by...
Also, thanks for answering my various questions, Bloodstone!
After re-reading the description and seeing the level 5 pic, my guess is when there is a new dragon the building stays the same but stops emitting light until the dragon collection is complete again, and after many more dragons are released (many more stars possible) there will be another addition to the building, or a deco for the island. Poppy, does your Dragonarium info say how many stars to the next update? Mine says it right next to my current star total.

I have 134 stars and it doesn't say anything about # of stars to the next update. But I also don't have a dragon or anything.

Thanks, that worked!
... that's one sure way of telling you don't even hit the Off-button anymore.

On All I've got 179/184 dragons.
It will upgrade once you have to 135 stars, which requires all 184 dragons.
Depends on which dragons you are missing. If you are only missing the 5 new hybrids, then each of the elements contributes 2 stars, bumping the count to 135+ And so on. I only have 181/184 of the dragons abd have 137 stars total.

Nothing about upgrades, only the current count.
I am enjoying the utility of the Dragonarium. I thought that I had two of every dragon, an adult and a turbo-baby (except Gemstone dragons). As it turns out I was missing an Iceberg baby and a Rust adult, which was quickly remedied. No extra credit for extra dragons though.
