Question 12 did skaala also mAke it to level 40.. I never got one until after I hit level 40.
It took Skaala very nearly 9 months to get his Rainbow dragon. He bred it June 17, 2012. He reported he had reached Lev 40 in Nov of 2012, so no, he hadn't. The question referred to the time it took him to successfully breed a Rainbow.
Did we mention the decision of the judges was final?
It probably only took me 5 months....I reached level 40 pretty quick as I raced a lot. My question was only in reference to whether he made it to 40 before he hit. I would never question the decision of the judges...

It's interesting how the racetrack made a big difference in the time it takes to level up. The strategy for leveling up now, compared to when the game started is a night and day difference. Scraping along for every possible xp point possible - do we get more xp for selling the egg before hatching, or after - was a common question. No one wanted to miss out on a single point.
Getting to level 30 was such a huge accomplishment. Now we spend a few hours in the the racetrack and zip right along.
Woo honourable mention! Glad to see I actually found all of the candles - ended up not going through the Tips and Tricks thread, was too tired.. Congrats to the winners and everyone else! Great job, lets have an even better anniversary next year (though this will be very, very hard to top!!)

Like the shrines.. I never joined the grind as I always needed the new dragons. If you started late then you spend all your time trying to catch up on the breeding. Each month it's last years and this years dragons. You can't really grind. I am glad they let us buy the shrine...I don't use gems to speed up anymore so they are perfect for the shrines...
Although I performed poorly on the trivia contest, I am at least proud that I know Fletch is the best looking blond on the forum! ;-) See, what happened was...I was busy/out all day, checked in late, saw the deadline for submissions was midnight pst Sunday night, but in my haste, translated that to Saturday night. Haha, ima dork. So I rushed to answer as much as I could remember, and my battery was dying at the very last minute so I was literally, and hilariously typing whilst running up the stairs to plug in the iPad and submit my last entries moments before what I thought was the deadline. You folks worked very hard, did a wonderful job, and provided great entertainment for the birthday celebration! Thank you!

Lol, loved the story about the dying battery trying to beat the deadline.

Congrats to all. Loved, loved, loved these competitions. I found all the candles - took my time and scrolled through chunks of the board every day. In doing so, I read so many great posts and definitely promised myself that I would contribute more here. My name is Heather and I'm a chicken- dragon- -robotfanatic. Thanks, mods; and thanks wonderful members!

i would like to make a couple comments as well:
first, thank you all for letting me be part of this as a mod...there is no way i would have been able to compete in the competitions without thoroughly embarassing myself and needing new bionic eyes (my old one's are low tech these days). you all did an impressive job, and i would like to thank you for participating. that effort and the comments many people sent me, gave me immeasurable joy..so thank-YOU

what type of chicken-fanatic are you exactly, heather? the flavor (please forgive me if that's completely the wrong direction)? the attitude? the imagery? etc etc etc

The latter rather than former! I'm an animal-lover in general, and I just love the look of chickens; the different breeds, the quirkiness, etc. I've always found them to be very beautiful (and at times very funny.) I cannot own any where I live now, but someday I hope to retire to an open space where I can raise some.

"I see," said the blind man to the deaf girl
please avoid the roosters for your own/neighbors' sake. lived down the street from a family (many years ago) who had only a rooster...not enjoyable. otherwise: aloha with your chicken-dream. i wish you nothing but happiness, be it chicken or otherwise. (pretty sure somebody asked me to use otherwise in a sentence...silly spelling bees)

Hey Frizzlechicken, I read your wonderful post about your LOVE for chickens and you reminded of a movie called "The Love Guide." The movie is described as this: "A comedy about a woman who saves her chicken farm and her family by agreeing to be the subject of a "reality show" with a celebrity Hollywood weight loss expert. Both women change and discover the true meaning of success." If you haven't already seen it, check it out. I saw the movie on Netflix. The woman in the movie reminds me of you. I think you would appreciate this quirky movie.

I haven't yet seen it, but it's going right to the top of my Netflix queue! Thank you for the suggestion - sounds right up my alley.
Check it Frizzlechicken! I believe you would enjoy the movie. It may be a little slow and quirky, but it is right up your alley. Let me know how you like the movie. Post your review here or send me a PM.

My sister loves chickens also so I'm going to rent this movie & watch it with her next time she visits. She actually had a frizzle chicken.
