So my freshman college daughter finally has been bitten by the Dragonvale bug! This morning I said to her, " You know you are addicted to Dragonvale when you check your park and do a quick sweep before you come out to check your Christmas stocking." She looked at me sheepishly and said, "I did!". Love it! Koala everyone!
You know your addicted when you wake up in the middle of the night to get another set of dragons breeding for the needed gem or limited dragon. Guilty!
Guilty as well! Or you swear when you go on vacation and have limit wifi -- that you log in as much as possible so you can catch up on breeding!
you know your a hopeless DV addict when you make a notebook with printed pictures of every egg, baby and adult dragon with both breeding times and breeding combos. race info, karios info, and other info, what dragons you need and how many you have. (Yes I did make a said book.) Also all of the above. checking dragons after waking at 3 am, staying up late just to make sure to get a breeding done. checking them every 10 minuets. guilty of all said charges on this forum. ok guess it's time for rehab, anyone wanna join me, we will all just play DV all day long and talk about anything DV related while doing so?
I keep a notebook to track things I can't track on my spreadsheet. I track my progress towards personal goals, too. Right now my goal is to get every possible dragon leveled up to 17. I've only got 6 more to go. But I also calculated what it is going to cost me to level up every possible dragon to level 18. Only about 15 billion DC. I figure it is going to take at least 10 months. Since the increased earnings do not offset the increased cost of leveling up from 18 to 19, I just won't think about it yet. My long term goal has always been to have all my dragons fed up to the maximum level.
You know when you're addicted when you racetrack grind all morning and level up two levels. (I did that once and started at 34 and ended at 36)
Hah! Glad to see I'm not the only one.
I got addicted to the races during the Kairos phase -- I was hooked onto the game by a friend who had been playing from the start. When suddenly the levels upped to 50, I automatically got to 50, and he was still at 47 ... he got so sore! Asked me how I did it. It turned out that instead of just spending dragoncash on food, I was partly racing for the food (and gems), blissfully unaware my XP levels were soaring.
And I missed that one about the player whose husband thought she was having an affair... my partner's given up competing with the dragons.

I was also addicted to races with Kairos! His statue was the one. Now, I don't really race that much. I am at level 43 right now. My track is still there, and I race to pass time when there is about 5 mins left on anything.
Same difference on my part. I turned the music and sound effect off completely. Though my family is very supportive of my DV addiction, they are annoyed at the sound specially at night when we were watching the TV. Soon enough, the tune was in everyone's head.
You know you're a DV addict when you felt bad about blowing up trees and rocks, to begin when. Then they started selling trees and rocks for dragon cash and you didn't feel so bad.
But you're still worried about marble paving because the wizards might slip, particularly beside fountains.
Sheesh, it's hard to get rid of the influence of industrial design courses!
