It's on place 24 Due to the fact that a Sun / Moon habitat can only hold three dragons. If you put them in an omnitat or one of the event sun-moon-habitats it's better.
A small warning : If I would want to maximise my DC income, I would rely on the high earning dragons that I have yet. Maybe there might be another dragon in a given habitat that would earn slightly more but it isn't worth to extra breed for that one because BFS is known to change things from time to time. Once the Panlong was a really estonishing earner, then it's earning rate was deminished. Once the Gold Olympus was the best to make money farms, then they established bigger Seasonal and Apocalypse habitats that can hold more dragons and the Gold Olympus is by far not the best earner anymore. If you have place for them in the hibernation cave : always keep good eraners if they are bred by default. If you need to make much DC just pull them out.
Good luck for your DC accumulating

It certainly earns well and has a commendably short breeding time.

I was trying to figure out the best way to maximize dragoncash. I'm not sure if anyone else ran the numbers, but I couldn't find it, so here goes.
At the new level 80 (May 2016) we can have 83 "regular habitats" and we can purchase an additional 10 with gems. So, you can have a maximum of 93 habitats.
There are 9 habitats for gemstones and and 1 for kairos. If you max out your gemstone habitats, you should get 34 gems per week. Note, theorectically you can purchase extra gemstone habitats as part of your 93 "regular habitats." But, they cost 150 gems each, and you only get 2 gems back per week. So, it would take you 3 years to recoup the cost and is therefore not recommended. Although I have been playing off/on for 4+ years....
There are also 20 reward habitats. If you max these habitats out with the highest earning dragons, you can get 56,900,160 dc per day.
So, that leaves the question of how to maximize the other 93 habitats. This assumes that you are completely boring and don't care about displaying one of each type of dragon. So, most of us would never do this. But, I was curious what the max earning amount is for a given park. This is calculated in the above google doc on the "regular habitat compare" tab. Here is a summary: rainbow habitat holding 2 double leap year dragons that earn 732dc each/minute = 2,108,160 dc per day seasonal hab holding 4 seasonal dragons that earn 451 dc = 2,597,760 dc / day olympus hab holding 4 elysisum dragons earning 451 dc = 2,597,760 dc sun or moon hab holding 3 dusk dragons @ 490 dc = 2,116,800 dc dream w/ 4 dream dragons at 564 dc = 3,248,640 dc treasure w/ 3 loot @ 338 = 1,460,160 dc apocalypse w/ 4 omen @ 451 dc = 2,597,760 dc So, DREAM habitat is the winner with 3,248,640 dc per day. If you have 93 of these habitats, you can make 302,123,520 dc per day.
With the reward habitats, in total you can earn 359M dragon cash per day.
There are other things to consider...rainbow habitats are smaller than dream habitats so you can fit more per island. I personally have 20 rainbow habs right now. I only have 2 dream habitats and they aren't even filled up yet. But, I think I will focus on trying to expand my park towards the dream habitats and dragons. My park makes around 125M per day and I only have 82 of the 93 possible habitats (and I'm missing Celestial.) Does anyone get close to 359M???
Feel free to correct any of my assumptions if I missed something.
