Something I hadn't really thought about before, but which should now be possible...
Thanks to the Valentine event, we can now breed epics with any other breedable dragon.
Epic cloning rules dictate that if both parents are epic, there is a possibility of producing a clone.
So a combo like Monolith 1 + Berry should have a chance to clone Monolith 1 (or Berry, but we don't care about that right now).
If successful, you could then produce Monolith 2-4 by breeding Monolith 1 + Monolith 1, without ever needing to earn the Monolith 2 reward during the actual event.
This should work that same way with Snowflake, if anyone only earned Snowflake 1 during the Winter event.
After a LOT of testing, Monolith + (other epic) does not appear to work as we had hoped.
The devs have outsmarted us and must have written some sort of exception to the new epic cloning rules.
At the moment, we are 99.9999% certain that you need two Monolith type dragons to have any chance of making more.
Seems to work the same way for Snowflake now too...
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this is probably the way of things going forward.

Yep, I've been trying since I got my first Monolith dragon and haven't gotten a clone yet. Sneaky BFS!
In other news...we can finally open the game in a little over 30 minutes. Waiting to see if it's a doubles weekend takes a lot of patience!

I'm still hoping that Backflip will do another double weekend the last weekend -- over Easter -- because otherwise I'm not sure if I can get the Relic of the Epics without buying eggs.
It says the event ends on April 6th. Anyone know what time on April 6th?

My efforts of breeding Summer + Monolith1 didn't succeed. But I've gotten a Summer out of it. (So thankfully the epic cloning rule is still working for others than snowflake or monolith) Will swap now to Monolith 1 + Monolith 2 because I've gotten the second Monolith today.

in the last couple of day, I lost all eggs collected... Every mornig I check the conter and is 92... I gewt my first monolith dragon three day ago, and i should get my second pedestal today, but all eggs are gone... I used to turn in eggs only when I get the prize, so I can count as many eggs I need for the next prize, so I lost almost 600-700 eggs I dont know if I'm involved in the last superGlitch...
Still me I'm still waiting for answer... I didn't received any eggs/gift/everthing, so I supposed not involved in the Glitch But I LOST eggs... Now I turn eggs as soon I collect, but I should have my second pedestal and working for my second dragon... Sorry if this is not the rigth place to post

I abandoned the idea of breeding Mono 1 + Summer for another Mono the min Fletch said he thinks Sandbox is wrong. He let us know gently then.
Since I have posted a magic egg trying to hide in my egg collection, I though I'd update with a couple screenies I took of some well-placed magic eggs:

I am 3384 eggs short of the final prize. So, assuming there will be 3 double days, I need
3384 / 12 = 283 eggs per day.
282 eggs = 60 from gifts + 10 from hats + 40 from dragon eggs + 15 from golden eggs + 30 from the colosseum + 20 from questing + 32 from treats + 34 from DC + 10 from obstacles + 31 from gems.
That means I need to get 31 * 12 = 372 eggs from gems.
If I spend 40 gems on each of the three double days, I'm getting 240 eggs for just 120 gems. That leaves 372 - 240 = 132 gems for the rest of the days, or 132 / 9 = 14 + 2/3 gems every non-double day, which is okay. Have I made a mistake or been too optimistic about anything?

Please don't throw things at me, but I'm kind of relieved it's not a double weekend! I want NEXT weekend to be double, because I'm at 1.8 billion cash and want time to collect that other 200 million, so I can summon the 11th island and get to cash in on clearing obstacles during the last double weekend. I doubt I'll be able to get the final reward, even with obstacles to clear, but at least it will guarantee that I get that second Monolith!

Have I made a mistake or been too optimistic about anything?

What's the most efficient breeding combo to get Monolith 3 and 4?
I got both mono 3 and mono 4 from breeding mono 1 and mono 2. Got mono 3 first and then made a few tries of mono 2 plus mono 3 but no success at all, so went back to mono 1 plus 2. And i got mono 4. Now onto the missing eggs ...
For the Monolith dragons, are they only breed-able for the time the event is going? Will they be gone on April 6?
And...has ANYONE been able to breed the Ovalith dragon? In both the BEB event and this event, I've had Panlong and Bloom going at it over and over and over, even using gems to speed up. No dice...
I had the same issue with Ovalith. Finally got one a few days ago. Then another a day later. But I had hundred of failures before that with all 4 level 20.
It stinks. But keep at it.
One thing I have found. If I let a fail go for about half way, then Gem finish it, rebreed, and gem finish that one right away, my next combo almost always works. Now with Ovalith it worked but didn't work because of the large number of epics you can get. Hang in there. I was bummed as well. But it is possible.
