I made this little one first, then enlarged the head pattern to fit over her head. The wings and tail are attached to a backpack base, so it will be wearable as she grows. At her request, the mouth opens to receive candy, which goes into a pouch!
It's Toothless! Man. I better not show this to my daughter. Right now, she feels she's got the best costume in the world, but I have a feeling this could change her mind!
That's true but sometimes people -coughs me coughs- have a hard time saying personal things to a persons face and prefer to use the online scape as a medium of sorts..just offering my opinion not saying anyones wrong. But I also don't spend all my time online either. The important thing is to know that there's a balance to what is too much or too little in my opinion ugh that got way more serious than I wanted it to
It can never be too serious That brings up another problem that I talk about often : people in my year think everything's a joke, they never want to talk about serious things, which at times are necessary - not that I want to talk about them all the time. They think life isn't serious (not saying that you do that, but I'm just mentioning something I thought of)
Oh and I agree that it is hard to say things to people's faces, but: Firstly I think it's better to have the conversation face to face. I too often am too scared to say things to people'sface, but often it turns out better if I do (not that I always do, unfortunately) Secondly I think that if you do have to say it via an online medium, can't you just text them? Social media isn't necessary for that. But I do agree it's about balance...
Meh sometimes people hate it when others take things and run with them...

Am I the only one who went crazy looking everywhere on our new Apple Macs for a Delete command? Intuitive? Not for me! I still have trouble with icons and would almost always rather see lists than thumbnails. But I looooved making Oscar sing I Love Trash
Am I the only one that wishes they were a little kid again? I miss trick or treating...aw well there are parties and stuff right? Lol sorry for the randomness...was in study hall and got bored
Just had a visit from two trick or treat-girls at my house. Said to my wife, it must be wonderful to dress up like that. I can understand your wish.
In Sweden this i quite a new tradition, imported - as everything else - from the US. First I was a bit angry about the tradition, but when I found out it came from Ireland, and is said to have Roots in the kelt tradition with Samhain, I was calm. The Samhain tradition is said to have been influensed by the viking "höstblot" - the autumn feast where we sacrificed both animals and men to our gods. ☺️
This time of the year we haven't only got our höstblot. We also get a lot of cold. Here is an example of a real "manscold" - a really hard disease.
Really? Huh I knew that Halloween came from Ireland and other Celtic countries but I didn't know that it was a Viking thing....you learn something new everyday
My neighborhood has 3 competitors for most elaborate Halloween display, including animatronics! Estimated 900 visitors his year (including parents)! I loved it that so many parents dressed up with their kids. My favorite family, Gomez, Morticia and Wednesday:

Congrats to the Kiwis for yesterday's stunning win over the wallabies. I was rooting a bit too much for the all blacks considering I'm British. Best game of rugby I've ever seen and with Richie and Dan as what most people believe to be the best two rugby players ever as part of the best sporting team of all time. Not too bad eh?

wOMantraNOM you think it is a hedgehog? Well I am not really sure. I found the picture and as you did - I loved it. It could also be a porcupine. (Did you know Valers, the hedgehog and the porcupine comes from two rather different families. The hedgehog belonged to erinaceinae and porcupine to hystricide - far away from each other in the tree ...☺️)
I thought of who this little fellow lookes like, who I come to think about in our family? Could it be a young jamesvaler?
