*sigh* so very far off topic... I can NOT get the song Bangerang by Skrillex out of my head! It's house / electronica / dance - *shrug* dunno what to call the style, but the sounds are SO ADICTIVE! It's coursing through my walk all day, making me strut, bob & weave, while rubbin' a ton-o-funk all over it, which gets both smiles and blank stares
And knowing the whole thing is about Peter Pan's Lost Boys while it has a real hard-core twist to them just makes it pure awesome sauce! That's right boys and girls, Peter Pan and his gang was one baaaaad dude!
What songs make you feel alive / make you dance all day?
Neatie !! Can you then print and make an actual jigsaw out of it Buffy?
It's a jigsaw puzzle app that my Mom plays on the iPad, just recently. I paid 2.99 to turn pictures to jigsaw puzzles. No, I can't print them and make an actual jigsaw. Plan to turn my mom's old pictures (black/white) to jigsaws; sort of surprise her. Let's just hope that she doesn't cry when she completed putting them together.
Guess you can w/ a 3-day printer, but would be time consuming if you have like 150 piece set...not sure how it would work.
You can always just print the picture, glue it to a board and cut out the pieces. Old school, but it works. If you have a scroll saw you can even do the curvy locking ears. Bopping along to some new age rhythms (is that an oxymoron?) will help the time go by.

I believe it will be much much cheaper to use an internetshop that makes photos and gifts with and out of photos
Once at a family party a jigsaw out of a family photo was a gift. And as I am very good in jigsaw puzzles, I was asked to put it together. The quality was not so good - but nevertheless it was fun.

Our neighboring library has expanded and added another 3,200 sqt room which houses 4 3-D printers + others. They offer 2 hr. class on how to use the printers and after that you can come in and use it. Pretty neat. I plan to do it for so long, but just haven't had a chance to.

Probably not. I am afraid the quality may not be the best since I plan to divide the picture to 150 little pieces.
The last time I used the electric saw I almost chopped part of my big toe. I was helping the guys chopping the branches to smaller pieces, and lost my foot hold of the branch so it springed upward along w/ the saw. When I looked down all my left toes were exposed, and I had my tennis shoes on.

Should be interesting. I had seen intricate things (bicycle, heart, and etc..) on display that were made from the 3-D printers but could not grasp the concept of how it's possible. Only when I watched how it was done in real life... I understand. I saw this guy printed out a wrench, actual sturdy, working wrench. It's very amazing though.

Aaaack! My little chainsaw has a beak covering the chain - I won't use the big ones, I'm too amateur! Love my chop saw and sawzall and skil saw and jig saw and little buzzy saws, but I think a band saw is called for if it's mounted on wood.

Nope. A scroll saw is the best option here. Followed by a jigsaw (duh!) fitted with a fine blade. Then a fret saw. Actually better than a jigsaw but muscle powered. Then a piercing saw which is a fretsaw designed for metal work. Then a bandsaw unless you can get finer blades than I can find. As for a chainsaw. There's a reason they are scary beasts. Up there with table and circular saws. Glad you survived Buffy.

Well, I was thinking of a power driven saw with a 1/8" teeny narrow continuous band for a blade and how nice it is to be able to guide the material with both hands while the blade remains stationary, like freehand quilting. Am I using the wrong terminology? A scroll saw is a narrow bladed handsaw with the blade held in a 'harp' which is perfect if you have the touch.(!)

Saw a lot of saws discussion but how does the miter saw fit in this see saw conversation?
GD - I saw you!
After that incident, I got demoted to gathering branches and bundling them up. The good things were that the saw didn't hit me or fly out of my hands.

What you are describing I would call a fretsaw or coping saw (A coping saw is bigger but otherwise pretty much the same) To me a scroll saw is motor driven but otherwise much the same. However you move the work not the saw. Mine is certainly too heavy to move easily.
Buffy. Glad someone had some sense. A mitre saw is used to dispatch bishops

Just hearing about the terror attacks in Paris France, and the very high numbers of deaths. I wish to express my condolences, sympathies and solidarity with the people of Paris, France.
I followed the drama in Paris last night whilst it was still going on. My thoughts are with alll the injured people and all the families of those who died or are injured.

This year, the Lind clan spiced up our Christmas cookie decorating with a couple of contests. However, we need others to judge the entries for us. The first picture is for best-looking cookie. (We knew before we started who would win that contest.) The second picture is for ugliest cookie. Please help us out by telling us which cookie you think wins for each contest.
