Hi everyone, I thought I would introduce myself here since I am so obsessed with this game. My real name is Sharon and I live in Woodstock NY with my husband and 7 year old son. I was a special education teacher for many years and work part time doing book fairs in schools. It is a peaceful lovely life. My son has been diagnosed with Aspergers so I am very involved with his therapies and education. He is a brilliant boy and he keeps me on my toes finding ways to keep him interested! Well that is all for now. I am happy to be here!

Hi Sharon,
Not knowing which end of the ASD spectrum your son is at if he can handle drag and drop on an iPad, a great educational resource is Khan Academy.
Here is a direct link to an Early Math Counting game. Hope you and your son can find some fun and interesting learning tools there.

Hi Sharon,
My name is Mark and I live in Brisbane, Australia, with my wife and 2 daughters. The 13 yo has Aspergers and is a very bright, loving and very direct young lady, and my almost 8 yo daughter has Autism and minimal speech. I too have been happy to be here for the last few years. Welcome.
Michelle, I still have the surgery in front of me, visit to doctor for check up next week and then fixing a date for the surgery, I also have made the choice for reading and glasses for distance. Actually, i currently need no glasses for reading. I just need them for tv watching and of course driving. I will also need new glasses but I will go differently this time, I have had progressive glasses since about 20 years and found out I never use them for that purpose. In fact, most of the time I take my glasses off when at home. T is quite funny when with my sister and she grabs her glasses to read small prints and take mine off to read the same lol. So i ill take just normal glasses for distance seeing. I ll keep you posted on the next steps. Still totally anxious about the surgery, i think they will need to pump me with tranquilizers !
Michele, congratulations on your surgeries. I'm so glad that all went well and that you're happy with the results.
Viviane, hang in there. Cataract surgery was my first operation ever and I had quite a case of nerves too. It all went much easier than I had imagined it would. I hope you have the same success and happy results.
I opted for the multi-focal lenses. I was near-sighted and had worn contact lenses all my life because I just couldn't adjust to glasses... they gave me motion sickness. Now I don't need glasses at all, it's wonderful. The multi-focus aren't like how they are in glasses. It's sort of like magic... the eye just sort of knows which focus to use all on it's own.
All this info was very usefull and conforting. Surgery took place two days ago and I am recovering nicely. Experiencing interesting things, when I look at the petunias I planted on my balcony three weeks ago, a mix of deep purple and fuchsia color, I see totally different shades of color depending which eye I look at them! And everything is very bright on one side. Reminds me of those commercials for washing powder which would make white whiter then white! Looking with both eyes it balances out of course. So now to full recovery before thinking of the second eye. And in a few weeks I will have one glas of my glasses changed. Full new set when both eyes will be done. Thanks again for your support
Hey friends ! a few months ago I stopped playing DV because I had too much crashes. Now I can't open my park no more, not at all.
I began to play Dragonfriends : Green Witch It's a bit similar to DV. The animation of the dragons is not at all that good as here, but the interaction with friends is much better (in-game-chat, friends without necessity of game center or facebook, guilds with exchange of raw material for spells) and there are no events or at least they are different and don't force you to do a lot in order to get the newest dragon. In the new game I returned to my old nick (meeridrache) - in case anyone here is playing the game too
Because I use my old seasonal icon, I'm sometimes adressed by players that play both games when they recognize it.
I came here to change my account password (big action of changing all of them). I'm not ready to delete my account yet !!!
I even had birthday wishes ! You are the best. Thanks for 4 wonderful years.
crumble - meeridrache - Marion
dragon list (last dragon : Gatren) DV friend id: Crumble#7733 friend link coop friends always welcome, but all my gems are spoken for
Great to hear from you again Marion! Missing you and visiting your dragon parks from time to time. All is ok there, no worries, the dragons behave well! Mfg Viviane

Thank you! I'm not in Wellington at the moment but my poor city is pretty beaten up and there's extreme flooding on top of that! It's nice to know others are thinking of us

Adding my thanks to those of the Ninja-one; I live halfway up the North Island, but Wellington is my favourite city and its been hit hard. Christchurch was where I was born, and the street and homes I lived in as a child are gone, in the last quakes, along with many iconic landmarks. I was due to be on a train doing the Kaikoura coast whale watch, followed by over the Southern Alps to Westport and some authorised greenstone hunting, a few days ago...postponed due to the amount of work I have to do before the long summer break...narrow escape
We're all experiencing shakeups of one kind or another it seems in these past few days or so much aloha to all in these uncertain and testing times

You must have had a koala in your pocket! Did you ever think you'd be grateful for a work backlog?

Hi dragonbayne and welcome! Not sure where you have read that you need a 'lake' dragon to breed a Rainbow, cos as you have found there is as yet no such dragon listed in the dragonarium ( if you're using an iPad or tablet, click the purple roofed building button on the bottom of your screen, for an iPhone or android I'm not sure if it's there, but someone who uses one will chip in, I'm sure )as existing in Dragonvale. The dragonarium lists all dragons, and when each may be bred ( when there is an hour glass that is green =limited breeding time, grey= cannot breed without cloning in coop... Cloning...coop....you've got a bit of reading to do On this site begin at the home page and the beginners thread, then work your way through other threads as they show topics you're interested in, and ask! The folk here are super friendly and helpful to newbies For help, with breeding, most of us seem to use at least the 'dragon vale sandbox', link below. There is also a good breeding guide Dragonbreed, it's an app you download. Probably others too, but those will get you started. And the dvwiki is useful ...and there is a Facebook page if you do FB... Welcome, aloha and koala! ( the koala has a history specific to this community, you'll find it in the threads www.2084.org/dragonvale/breeding-sandbox/
