After putting it off as long as possible, due mainly to my fear of needles, I’ve had the first nanochip ....umm,....I mean I’ve had my first Covid immunization today. 🦠💉
All is well so far, some soreness at the implant site, oh, I meant injection site. And it hurts to raise my arm, like a (when your brother punches you in the arm after you told mom on him) kinda bruise pain.
It was from Pfizer, I’ve got the second scheduled on Cinco de Mayo!
Everyone else doing okay with their immunizations? I’ve been told my cell reception should dramatically improve.

That's why I'm not getting any covid shots, because 1) I don't trust the safety of drugs they put out on the market without long term testing, and 2) I have an absolutely horrendous fear of needles, doctors, hospitals, all medical stuff, etc.
Even if I wanted the vaccine, I can't get it because my phobia is too extreme. So I'll just wear a mask and take my chances. I honestly think I already had covid last year. Which wasn't at all pleasant, but that's life now. Not much I can do about it really.

We share our physical lives with those in spirit. For life, like love, never dies. Love knows no limits, not even death.
I had my first shot of Moderna last Thursday. Great organization at the vaccination center, the whole procedure took only 1/4 of a hour. And, I didn’t feel anything of the shot. In fact I noticed the lady was busy disposing the seringue away and I asked if it was already done! They must be doing this a hundred time a day so the nurses have a lot of practice. Don’t be afraid, it is over before you know it. Arriving home I already had mails for the next appointment as well a a certificate for the first shot. The next day I was a bit dizzy so I took an aspirin and had an afternoon nap. Now all ok, pain in arm only if I touched it but really nothing worth mentioning. Next shot on the 6th of may. With the vaccine you still can catch COVID-19 but very mild, which for me is important. Masks will still be used as well as social distancing etc but it was give me a certain piece of mind. And I won’t be potential danger for others. Long time effects ? what is long time? 10 years? I will be gone by that time. And do not forget, crossing the street, driving, living is dangerous too. So go for it and look for all the benefits, seeing people/ family, traveling etc.

DragonMoonX I was making fun, but this is really a very serious issue. Are you able to have someone go with you for the vaccine, a trusted person who understands your difficulty?
I honestly would have gotten the vaccine earlier if I were able to, but open vaccination just started a week or so ago. I really do not like needles, I mean I REALLY don’t like them, but I feel like getting a couple of tiny shots is so much better that ever being hospitalized for covid 😱. I went to a drive thru vaccine center and it was so efficient and organized. The national guard were controlling everything, except the actual injections which were being administered by local hospital staff. They checked my ID at a first small tent, then I drove forward 50ish yards. I was given my first shot in another large tent, very private considering I was in my car. The needle was so much smaller that a regular flu vaccine shot, more like the tiny needle diabetic people use for self insulin injections. I truly did not feel it. 😅 I was given the vaccine card and another appointment for my second dose. Then I waited in another lane, along with others who received the shot before me, for 15 minutes to make sure I had no adverse reactions. Up to another small tent and a national guard officer checked me out and off I went, the whole process from driving in to the car park to exiting after my 15 minute wait was only 30 minutes. I had heard stories that the needle is so large and the wait is 2 to 4 hours. All baloney! My upper arm, where the shot was given is sore when I move it, like having a big bruise, but there is no bruise coloring lol or any other indication of anything. I will still wear a mask everywhere I go and still keep sanitizer in my purse. I know people who have gotten covid and saw their suffering, even though they didn’t get hospitalized. I also know of the deaths of the family members of my friends and acquaintances. I thank God that no one close to me has been seriously hospitalized. I feel like this has forever changed me and how I go about in public. I get freaked out when I see a person not wearing a mask. 🙃
To me, simply living has risks. The next minute of our lives is an unknown and anything can happen in a moment. Like Florida has more lightening strikes than anywhere else in the country, Ive been living in Florida for 30+ years and never actually know a person who got stuck my lightening. Oh it happens every once in a while, I see it on the news. But that doesn’t make me scared of thunderstorms. There is a higher chance of getting struck by lightening, than having a serious reaction to the covid vaccine.

LynnMarie, viviane, congratulations on getting the jab! I don’t think I’m eligible until July but I’m signing up as soon as I can 😊 I know the vaccine was developed in what seems like a short period of time but a) there was already similar research in the works and b) the usual constraints on vaccine development are money and test subjects, which didn’t apply here
GCID: NinjaKiwi. *remember the full stop!*

Currently breeding for whatever twins I can possibly get my hands on

The technology for this vaccine is 15 years old, and enormous financial, manpower was used. Of course, labs do not develop this because of love for humanity but for money . Fair enough. Btw, the vaccine is free, ie paid by your tax return, so make sure you benefit from your money input! If you don’t, thank you for your generous donation lol

Having a friend with me doesn't help. I got really sick a couple months ago and a friend of mine took me to the emergency room. When we got there, they started talking about blood tests, so I had a major panic attack, started screaming and ran from the building in less than ten minutes before they could even try to do any tests. I made it about ten feet, running through the parking lot before collapsing and crying hysterically. So I never did get tests or treatment. My friend just took me home.
The thing is my fear of needles is so great it causes panic attacks so bad that I have been known to puke right there on the floor of the doctor's office just from hearing them talk about needles. I can't even schedule an appointment for some place like a dentist's office without hyperventilating, throwing up and almost passing out. This is why I didn't have my procedure a couple months ago to have my wisdom teeth out like I was supposed to, because they wanted to use general anesthesia with an IV, and I became so hysterical that even their strongest sedatives wouldn't work. They couldn't even get near me to start the IV because I was panicking so badly. They said I had to be put out in a hospital because they couldn't sedate me with regular methods. So anything with needles is really impossible. I will scream, cry, throw up, fight off doctor's and nurses, and run from the building in tears, because I really do panic horribly.
This probably sounds terrible, but I would rather be sick than get a shot. Even when I thought I had covid last year I never saw a doctor. I was struggling to breathe and had to hold onto the kitchen counter for support because I could barely walk or stand. But I did nothing. I won't go in a hospital. I'll just die quietly at home. My mother knew that. I told her never to call 911 or anything if it looked like I was having a medical emergency, because I will refuse treatment. She knew that, and she accepted it.

Had another Grilled Spicy DeLux at Chick-fil-A 😋 Better get one before next week, they’ve made them ‘seasonal’...
I just noticed that Flaggers are paying 100,000...didn’t they used to pay only 20,000?
Oh no! RIP grilled spicy chicken delux 😥 it’s my son’s favorite. I did hear that they are starting spicy chicken strips though, in some areas 😊
personally, I can’t handle the stuff 🥵 wasn’t born with those spice receptors 😜 my regular is an original chicken delux, no cheese, no pickle, add mayo 😋. And gotta have those waffle fries 😋😋😋
