Yay to Backflip for making the little wizards on the paths more culturally diverse!
It's quite difficult to keep hands off until it starts! I did go ahead and move eggs to the nursery, hit the retry button on breeding and got all the treat farms working... Now I guess the only option is to go do all my chores and errands to enable me to enjoy opening day at the faire in a few hours guilt free.

I updated my game last night....app store says its updated ,but when I go to game I get new screen and when I click play same old game!! NOw what do I do? Accccccckkkkkk Wait so timer says event hasn't started how can people be talking about diversity of wizards on path???

First stay calm and don't panic
There are several things that have showed up in game already as a result of the last update.
- New loading screen for the event. - There are many new wizards wandering around our parks. Zoom in and you will see them. - Weather Station has a Fireflies option now. - Several new dragon in the Dragonarium: Darkling, Loot, Midday, Snowflake 5, Monolith 5 and Jasper, which is the only one currently available to breed and apparently not part of the event. - Epic Island Themes: Treasure and Sun, which have to be earned during the event. - New goals: Jasper Dragon (already available) Heated Air Balloon, Midday Dragon, Get a Purple Dragon Figurine, Get a Red Dragon Figurine, Sun Theme

I like being able to breed for Jasper early - almost forgot to get the habitat! I'll put it on my Gemstone/gemstone Egg Island. I guess they won't be interchangeable with the other Gemstones. Jasper doesn't have his own decoration.
Cool! Dark skinned Wizards and zippy little kids! Wonder if the Witch Gardenia will check in (miss her giggle), or maybe we'll be hunting Gypsy Lute Boy. I turned on the Music - very Festive!
No more collecting this a.m.(sitting on hands till Event starts).
I hope we'll Finally get an upgrade for the Treasure habitat.

Who else is having trouble getting into their park(s)? I hope this resolves quickly. My granddaughter hasn't been able to access her park at all since installing the update.
I was having issues as well. Kept getting error message that game was open on another device. It wasn't. Re-booted my iPad. Issue resolved. You might try that if you haven't already. Otherwise, shoot BFS support an email.
I'm using the dusk option. The fireflies option icon reminded me of the dusk sky. And I think the music for the dusk background has changed, hasn't it? Some kind of medieval music?
Yup! Dusk sounds like a Renaissance fair, or a Celtic/Highlander thing. On another hand, I'm not getting fireflies. Where's the option?

Think it would be reasonably difficult but not impossible to earn all the prizes.
I will come up with an action plan and faithfully stick to it.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Whatever the case, we asked for the option to be able to choose the order in which we are awarded the prizes, and it appears that they accommodated our request.

Well, since we know that a bunch of the prizes are going to be dragons, we can skip those and get them from co-op breeding (Loot/Midday) and/or the next Bring 'em Back.
Although I still have Elysium and Procyon left to get, and when each dragon takes like a month to co-op breed, I don't particularly want to add to that backlog.

I sure hope this means it's an easier dragon to obtain; there's been a string of Patience Practicing Dragons.... Not to downplay your exceptional dragoneering skills, of course, Buffy. . Congrats either way!!
