Has anyone noticed that the hot air balloon has a strange element icon on it? It seems to have the celebration group icon on it, rather than a regular element. I didn't know that decorations 1) had elements associated with them and 2) could have elements other than the primary ones.

Go to the market and have a look at the decorations. Most, if not all, have elements associated with them now. It even has the filter option to select the type of decoration you are after.
The number will bw the one showing on sept 21 or 28th. They cannot take the risk of saying : well, if we had had just 2 more hits you would have been granted the surprise gift lol
Btw, am astonished that none of our calculation geniuses here have searched the number of people playing ie throwing a dime in the well. Considering that the reset time is the same for all players, and also the number of days we have been playing, that should be easy for them. (I can t calculate, t is too hot here!)
There is a number showing and a progress bar. Might be a little under 10% at 1.7 million, so 20 million wishes seems like it might be right. 300 000 wishes a day would take 66 days, about the length of the event.
That actually seems a bit too close for comfort. Maybe 15 million? That would wrap it up in about 50 days.
Actually from the start of the event there were 55 days to the 4th anniversary. 55 days by 300,000 per day is a total of 16.5 million.

Two question topics please! Does anyone have "post-purchase dissonance" after buying twilight tower? Or does everybody love it? and Has anyone successfully bred Midday dragon in the CBC yet? What is the best epic to use on my end? Thanks to those sharing a midday dragon.
I earned the Twilight Tower last summer and I really enjoy it. I remember being ambivalent about whether I wanted a large load of treats instead of getting the Tower, but I got just over enough currency for the Tower. I'm really glad I did. I love being able to change the sky, and I imagine that BFS will have more dragons in the future that require day or night breed times.
I was also very surprised and excited today when a Midday egg showed up in my nursery! I was breeding my Dawn with a friend's Midday and getting LOTS of 8hr Hail fails. I was really not expecting to be able to breed one, but I thought I'd give breeding one a go before buying one. So I'm THRILLED to have gotten one!
Now, if I could only breed a Bizurian...all those 8hr fails are just that, fails.

Same for me. Yesterday I bred two in a row. That was a luck shot. Nothing today. I used Midday-Midday in co-op I LOVE my tower. It's fun to change the look of my park around. Very happy with it.

If you've missed out on maxing out tickets on a particular day in the past, getting more tickets into your social bank won't actually help you catch up, unfortunately.

That's a really good point. I didn't think about the anniversary. Paper, Cotton, Leathery... what will be next ?

I'm sure there's some logic behind all this but I haven't had my morning coffee yet.
I think I can draw a definitive conclusion from that: It's broken and busted, let's exploit it. It's really interesting how different parks get different amounts of glitched tickets from this.
Skitch seems to have hit the jackpot with +721, meaning he never has to collect again. Likewise, my park gets +656 every time.
My baby park gets +400, and yours seems to get only +100, which I guess is still useful. Maybe it depends on how many banked tickets you had at some specific point in time.
I tried it and got 917. . I think it was my total BFS bank less the number actually needed to reach quota. I think what happened is it transferred them to the collection, but forgot to remove them from the bank. Then because it was over the limit, it transferred the excess back.
However I don't think I'll bother going forward. Once yes to confirm, but after that it just takes the fun away.
