Cooperative Breeding
Version 3 of the game has been released (so make sure you update your game) and a new Breeding Cave has been added to the game, attached to the Dragonarium Island. We believe you automatically receive it when you reach Level 10.
This allows Social Breeding with other players. You select the dragon you want to breed socially (any dragon except a gemstone dragon) and you breed it with the dragons your friends have selected.
The dragon selected for Social Breeding is automatically the last dragon you used in the Cooperative Breeding Cave OR the last dragon that you manually selected by finding the dragon in your park and selecting the Blue Heart to the left hand side of the picture frame.
It changes every time you breed or every time you select a new dragon, so if you are sharing for a friend you need to keep an eye on it. It also means if you select a dragon in your park to share there is no way you can reselect the dragon that is currently in the Breeding Cave. A full list of what people have pledged to share can be found in the second post in this thread.
This gives you the ability to breed epic dragons that you don't have in your park. You just need to breed an epic/galaxy dragon of yours with the epic dragon in a friends park. This might mean communicating with your friend, and getting them to "share" the dragon you need.
The Cooperative Breeding Cave works the same as the two we have, so that any Epic breeding gives you a chance of regular dragons based on the elements that were used to make the epic. It is also not upgradeable at the moment, so the breeding times will be original. You can check what dragon you might have breeding by looking up the Breeding Times thread. dragonvale-tips.proboards.com/thread/313/upgraded-breeding-caves-new-times
The other cool possibility is the chance to breed a twin dragon.
We're not sure of the numbers, but it could be 1 chance in 10 of breeding a twin dragon. This means that both people taking part in the breeding receive the dragon that was bred. If someone uses the dragon you are sharing and they make a twin, you will receive the same dragon as a gift from BFS in your Social menu. The message you see has the dragon egg in the top of the frame (so in the picture above it was a Bronze Oly).
Whilst we don't know if twin dragons have special powers/abilities, they are "treated" in the game so you can tell them apart. There picture has a blue glow around it and so do the eggs.
They also have a distinctive orb which appears on the dragon from level 1. And after they are fed to Level 20 they have a star over their heads rather than a crown.
They dragons and pedestals also have a border around them, including the Dragonarium, so you can see how you collection is coming along.
Galaxy Dragons
A new range of dragons has been introduced to the game. They can only be used for breeding in the Cooperative Breeding Cave, and they can only be bred if one of the parents is the desired galaxy dragon. This means if you need to breed a Sorarian Dragon in your park, you need to find a friend who is sharing one in their Cooperative Breeding Cave.
