I just got the recent update and noticed that my gem dragon doesn't produce as many gems per day any more. Was this intentional or a bug?


I've been okay playing DV for years and was excited to see a new version. I like being able to play both and them be different. 😁

Honestly, I think its a balance update, besides BFS once again doing major compensations for the removal of Mega Dragons.



I'm sure the Mega Dragons will come back some day, but obtained differently.

But yeah, I am a little upset with the update as well. Trading has become more OP than ever, gathering is no longer useful, and gem dragons make less gems.

What did they do?!
This last update, like holy fudge!
My Pitcher Dragon is now an enchanted Fly trap dragon.
Gem dragons make less gems, and cost a fortune in treats to feed to level up.
The enchanteds are no longer in the book, so no idea if you can still work to get them.
Gathering takes a hell of a lot more time, so koala in getting supplies to finish any ship adventures.
Oh and speaking about those ships, if they request a dragon, you can't send your enchanted dragons.
Also the gathering bonus is now gone.
All the artifacts that you work towards collecting are gone.
This used to be fun and relaxing.
Now it's just disappointing. 😕

Yeah, the forum changes "g o o d  l u ck" to "koala". One of the forum founders is Australian.

I updated my game yesterday, and this morning, I got an enchanted dragon. So that they is'nt in the book, does not mean that they dont exists

So I emailed Back flip to find out what this update was all about here is what they sent:


Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out about DragonVale World! Here is the change log for the 1.6 update which should answer most questions:

The Dragonarium has gotten a refresh and is now your one stop shop for all things dragons.


Breeding hints can now be found for each dragon in the Dragonarium.

Filter the dragons in your Dragonarium by type, rarity, limited time, owned, missing and enchanted.

Enchanted Dragons are still here! These dragons are exceedingly rare, so they don’t appear in Dragonariums until each enchanted dragon is collected.

You might notice the Mega Dragons & their artifacts are missing - any you had before 1.6 have been credited to your account as Gems and DragonCash. This feature needed more magic, but you may see it re-release in the future with entirely new and unique dragons.

Dragons already owned will appear etched into the book with a red check mark. Dragons missing from your collection will appear in full color.

New rarity tier system! As you hatch and collect dragons, each has a star level based on its rarity. Here’s a basic breakdown:


Common (1 star)

Uncommon (2 stars)

Rare (3 stars)

Epic (4 stars)

Enchanted dragons will always have 1 star more than their normal counterpart & their rarity displays as gold stars instead of silver.



With the Hibernation Cave, now you can store the dragons you can’t bear to sell!


We’ve done some balancing on the economy that you’ll see reflected most with the Arcane Airship, Gathering, and Silvia’s Trading Post.


The Arcane Airship rewards have been adjusted to match the new economy balance - you’ll always be compensated well for completing an Airship order.

This change adds more value to both buying and selling at Silvia’s Trading Post.



Dragonsai Dragons are now easier to level up! As a result, their earning rate has been rebalanced and they remain a valuable way to earn Gems.

This seems to be not in line with everyone saying that their artifacts disappeared without any compensation, unless they were completed megas.

Maybe they credited the DC directly to people's banks instead of putting it into the social inbox, or they just messed up their code.

Venom dragon:
A dragon with fire and a dragon with jungle, and a LOT of patience

Enchanted dragon: like you would breed the normal dragon, and MORE patience

Enchancted breeding cave is a second breeding cave, you can unlock with gems. It's already in the park

You might have to try a lot of times.

And they made it harder to get the enchanted dragons

There isn't an Air Variant anymore, that was pre-v1.4.  The is just the Enchanted version now, and for that matter, I think the Grotto dragon has gone too.

There seems to be another type of variant though. I've noticed that in the stats of an enchanted dragon, it says Bonus: XP or Bonus: DragonCash.

I'm unsure if this is per-dragon or the same across the species. My EnRainbows all seem to have the DC bonus.
