I just really hate there is no probability on the breeds... in DV we used to have such good apps for breeds and probability, but so far this is as good as it's gotten
You can check out the results of different breeding combinations at the Dragonvale World Sandbox:
Just got a Kailu only been playing 3 days up to level15 I breed a level 9 water with a level 9 thermal got a 1day 12 hr egg guide says Kailua .... good l
Playing a few days up to level 15 I just breeded a level 9 water(first) level 9 thermal (second) in epic cave got a egg that says 1 day 12 hrs... guide says KAIJA
Does anyone know if/when the exploration extraveganza will come back? I am still missing one of the dragons and didnt get a chance to breed any of the enchanted versions. Also I'm having some trouble eith the epic dragons, any tips?

Hi, everyone! I'm relatively new to Dragonvale World, and new to this forum. I have been trying to breed a Kaiju dragon for days and days with no luck. I've been using Frostburn and Canyon in my regular breeding cave, and Tropical and Magma in my breeding island. Any tips on different dragons that I may need to use?

Welcome to the game and the forum. It's good to have you here.
All you can do is keep trying. I would recommend using both combos with the Jungle element, so that some of your fails will be short breeds. This will allow you to try more often. I haven't done any testing, but higher dragon levels might increase your chance as well, so feeding up those dragons might help.
Other than that, it is just a matter of rinse and repeat. koala. And let us know how you get on.
Can someone explain what EV FV and others of the sort stand for?
They are a holdover from an earlier version of the game when there were multiple enchanted dragons for the base dragons. Fire Variant and Earth Variant in this case. We need to update these threads. It's just a matter of find get time. :-)

Just want to verify that Earth + Fairy = Oracle. I've gotten several already.
So if Earth + Air = Petryoglyph and if Magma + Tropical = Kaiju
Then perhaps Earth is the key to most epic dragons? I guess perhaps the combination for Sunken could be Earth + Water?
Thanks for all the suggestions so far. Any ideas for Totem?
I just got a 24-hour breed using Wooly (Lv15) and Geyser (Lv13). I was actually trying for a kaiju, but I believe this will be Totem.
Of the three 24-hour dragons that I know of and are available right now (Totem, Oracle, Petroglyph), this should be Totem because it requires earth and ice, while Oracle requires earth and fairy, and and Petroglyph requires earth and air. Wooly and Geyser have neither fairy nor air. Sorry for the long-winded explanation, but it's just in case anyone needed that.

Any tips on breeding enchanted dragons? I have all but 2 of the regular dragons but only 10 enchanted (2 of which I had to buy or earn). Keep getting regular hybrids. Any advice is greatly appreciated

When you "hunt" a specifik enchanted, try making combinations with few outcomes. I wanted the ENwater, and was also missing ENgeyser (fire/water). So I bred water + geyser. With 6 possible outcomes, the chances was higher than if I bred water + jungle/earth.
Be prepared that EN is pretty rare, so don't give up! I once bred 150 jungle+ENjungle in a breeding event, at godt like 2 ENjungle in the progress... So I dont want to calculate the chances with breeding combos with more possible outcomes :/

Just want to jump in and correct this. The chance of breeding any uncommon dragon is a set percentage. It is not affected by the number of possible outcomes. If it's a 2% chance (which is just a guess, we do not know), then it doesn't matter how many other possible dragons you could breed. The Jungle + Jungle is a perfect example, as there are only two possible outcomes and it doesn't seem like it occurred any more frequently.
Therefore the preferred breeding combination is the one that has the shortest average breed time among all the possible "fails". Adding Jungle to the mix will almost always make that happen, because those are the dragons with the shortest breed times. Water + Geyser is a fine combo if you are after an Enchanted of either, but it has 4 fails with a total breed time of 7h40m, for an average fail time of 1h55m. Water + Jungle has 4 fails with a total breed time of 5h50m, for an average fail time of 1h27m30s. Without using gems to speed up fails, you can be trying again about 30 minutes earlier with that combo, so in a 16 hour day, you can breed Water + Geyser 8 times and Water + Jungle 10 times.
P.S. I haven't done any testing, but anecdotally using an Enchanted parent will increase your odds of having Enchanted offspring. You might want to try that and let us know how you get on.

You guys give me hope. I've been breeding Cinder x Water and Newt x Underbrush with nothing so far. I hope one of those combos will cough up a Congi soon.
Wow, cinder+water second try = rainbow I guess, based on the eggs colours
Hmm for the Gongji, what's best: Cinder+ ENwater Cinder+canyon?
-- Does the EN part really makes a difference? And does the lvl of the dragon matter? (Answer based on facts, not experience, would be lovely )
