Would someone please tell me where to find the number of Spirit Crystals we've acquired? I won 2 yesterday in the Dragon Drop mini-game, but can't find them. Or do they just show up when trying to breed a Soirit Dragon that requires one? Thanks! As if dealing with the Rift in DV weren't enough, now comes DVW with all this. My old brain hurts, lol (not really laughing!).
The easiest way I've found is to click on a breeding cave and then click on crystals. Near the amount of shards you have is also the number of crystals you have (x1 or x2 etc.).
So, technically all these new dragons are guaranteed with a spirit crystal, right? And you can probably get one whole crystal every weekend of the event for 3 spirit crystals in total. And we need 16 in total (and 8 enchanted crystals). So at 500 shards a pop, we need 6,500 spirit shards in 21 days, or 310 a day! If I'm right, I don't think that's that bad.
Unfortunately you are not. Spirit crystals just guarantee that you will get a spirit dragon, not any particular spirit dragon. For example, breeding Underbrush + Magma can give Marigold as a rare result, but Spirit Underbrush and Spirit Magma are much more likely.
It depends on how rare the new spirit dragons actually are, but I would guesstimate that you'll need at the very least 40 spirit crystals. Probably 80 or more.
For the enchanted variants, you'll want to brew the rarity remedies (40 common/160 uncommon/16 epic ingredients) and have 20-ish enchanted crystals ready. Oh, and another 20 spirit crystals, since you need those as well.
That's only for the 4 brand-new dragons, but you'll probably breed most of the other ones coincidentally.
That's not as fun. Well, at least 8 won't be that difficult to get.
Has anyone tried to add a spirit crystal to a breed that doesn't have any of the required elements/parents? Are you allowed to even attach one? Does anyone know if the copy spirit dragons turn into spirit shards?

Arrgh! So far all I’ve managed is multiples of Cinder and Magma Spirit dragons. You can breed one spirit with a regular dragon and get the same results as if it were a regular dragon breeding combination (no spirit). To select for breeding, click on the heart in the dragon’s description. However, there’s no way to select a second spirit dragon for the breeding pair. So it doesn’t look like you can breed them together.
If someone figures out how to breed two spirits together, pleast post.

Stupid me, just discovered that it IS possible to sort by type in breeding cave. But then, I need to remember what elements the dragon got. Like needing magma and underbush. Then I have to look up, what elements they have. AND remember that

I'm with you, in fact so Utterly Rifted from DV that I'm Utterly Ignoring this whole DVW development, but loving the mad scenery and colours!!!
Thoughts on this event: first of all, this was exactly the WRONG time for me to activate a bring em back phoenix potion since now the scramble's on to get 16 new dragons plus the scorpia zodia dragon coming out tomorrow.
Apparently you should save up your tickets and spend them in a long string. The chance for a golden bucket with a whole crystal go up when you play beyond 3 tickets and reset to 10% if you stop after 3. And if you're planning to spend any gems at all in pursuit of spirit crystals, it's best to spend them to replay a game when there's a golden bucket. You may take a few times to get it but spending 15-20 gems is better than 125 in the market. Personally, I'm trying not to spend any gems at all.
All in all, this was fun when there were still basic spirit fails to collect. After the first 4, though, now it feels like a colossal waste of a crystal every time I get a duplicate. I love the color scheme though.

I'm at at least 20 spirit crystal and haven't gotten ONE rare. This is absolute bs. Really really pissed here. If you HAVE to have a crystal and it's so hard to get one, then the odds should be better This is just gambling. Pure and simple. And I'm not stupid. Think I'm sitting this one out. I'm there ideal customer, always spent 20-50 for a event but the end line has to be visible and attainable. Based purely on luck. Next

😂 I am a bit frustrated with both DV and DVW breeding chances these days. I reached a point quite a few weeks ago that DVW was just too much, so I stopped buying gems there. I refuse to do it anymore. I am a speed breed junky and I admit it, lol, but refuse to do it if there is little chance. So, during the weekend events I have been feeding only the dragonsai dragons when there is a feed the dragon quest. It is overkill, but at least it is working towards getting more free gems. And, since breeding is so hard, I actually do not need so many treats, lol.
I have had zero luck getting a Calaca, Calavera, Marigold, or Zancos. It is like these are turned off in my park. No problem with the others, even have most of the eggs, but I have been selling off duplicates for the last three days. Frustrating, not fun!

If I were you I'd contact BFS to complain - 100% is a guaranteed golden bucket! If my past experiences with BFS is anything to go buy you'll get a crystal credited to your Park.

I'm continuing to try for the Spirit dragons in just one breeding spot now, this allows me time to accrue tickets for Crystals. I'm now trying for the new Zodiac dragon I the other.
Not made any headway with my missing 2 Spirit dragons but the two day event should help with getting a few more Crystals. Wish I hadn't emptied my earned habitat cash and sent an airship off first thing this morning though 😠

Sigh. I'm so weak. The thought of not completing something sent me into a tizzy soooooo 2000 gems later I have the set. Still need the enchanted but people are saying it's much easier with the potions. Like 2-3 breeds easy.
Things that worked for me
1. Practicing the stupid games over and over 2. Airships give 4 tickets so have a 60% explorer potion going. I sped some skips and I also paid the 8 to get all the shards. 3 ships is an enchanted crystal. 3. Don't buy the crystal packs. Learned this one too late. Spent the 5 gems when you get a bucket. One gem is normally 125 so if you can get the bucket for under 25 tries your ahead. 4. At the end of the ticket thing you have the option to play again for gems. It's got no limit so I just cranked till I had 30 crystals. 5. I used enchanted dragons and oddly out of the defined order worked for me. So cinder x venom. Might be a fluke but.... 6. I sped bred. 7. I did this after I bought another 1000 gems. I hate to believe that had anything to do with it but you never know. We know there was a tier system at the beginning. It might (probably) still exist. The way data mining is going nowadays anything is possible.
I feel so dirty but LOOK at my pretty dragons.
