I bred a West Dragon when trying for Capria, but the weird thing was when it came time for it to hatch. I had already gotten both dragon and pedestal during the event the compass dragons were originally released in, but when this West dragon hatched the pedestal indicator was not checked off. Has anyone else noticed this for any of the compass dragons?

Where’s the pedestal indicator? Are you referring to the “hatch, sell, or display” selection when they’re done incubating?

Yes, that was what I meant. I was just planning to sell the West dragon for enchanted shards (worth 700!) but noticed that the when it hatched there was no checkmark on the option to display the pedestal which confused me as I I knew I had the pedestal. Asked this on the DVW facebook page too and someone there said it was because the pedestals from the event were classified as decorations, not egg pedestals. That poor West dragon is still sitting in the nest, since I can't decide if I will sell it as I had previously planned or if I will swap out the decoration pedestal for the actual egg pedestal since not seeing that checkmark makes my brain twitch since it seems like it's not complete then. Problem with that is I wouldn't be able to finish the other compass dragons since there's only a day left on their breeding and I have other breeding priorities.

Been gone for a while. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and wishing everyone a healthy and prosperous New Year. Anyone know what the deal is with this climatizer? Ever since the shards were introduced I’m just not that thrilled with the game. Trying to get both versions of the Zodiacs, missed enScoria, then maybe call it quits. I don’t play the air ship at all, in either game. Just wondering about the climatizer. Mine still says the wizards are tinkering, come back later.

If I remember right I didn't breed them to get the pedestals, but bought them from the market since they were available with the event currency at that time and I had enough to get them. I might not have gotten them all that way but I remember getting at least a few.

If I remember right I didn't breed them to get the pedestals, but bought them from the market since they were available with the event currency at that time and I had enough to get them. I might not have gotten them all that way but I remember getting at least a few.

Ah... Yep.. if you buy a pedestal your only choices are to either display it, or sell it (at half of what you paid for it). The only “pedestals” that can be traded for shards are those that have the potential of being hatched into dragons.
Possibly a stupid question, but I'm curious why people are buying my items from the market. It seems like they're priced way more than what you would get for the, from the airship - is there another use for them I'm not aware of?
There's a weekend event that rewards you for completing airships.
Some people may just assume that completing the airship is worth it without doing the math.
You also get gems from the airship.
The last one is particularly relevant for high-level players. You eventually get to a point where the extra cash is useless because you're earning it faster than you can spend it. Overpaying for items from the market is no big deal in that situation.
You can store an infinite amount of gems, but you're limited to 25 million DC.
I double bred for Sprite using Woodland x Air on the enchanted island and Wink x Jungle in the cave. The Wink x Jungle produced Sprite in three or four attempts. I then used a crystal and the Rare Breeding potion with Sprite x EnFairy on the breeding island and got EnSprite on the first attempt.
Your mileage may vary, but I just thought I’d pass along some known combos.

Wow, just dropped by to do my ?monthly islands tidy up in DVW; I didn't realise you could change the view orientation/spin the island around, and it would stay that way; lol messes with my head 😳

Hi to anyone still DVW active; a question Collecting friends gem gifts: one park has 6 I can give and the other 2 have 3 each I have always only collected what I can gift, thinking I would collect and gift the extras the next visit...but they disappear!
Is that the case: if you don't collect ALL the gift gems, they do not carry forward to the next day?? You lose them?
( oh I love that auto emoji; too many '?'s' -> the frowny amazed emoji lol)

Based on what I see with the gifting, you can only gift if someone has collected what you sent them before. If the person has gifted you then the gem needs to be collected before you can gift them. Each person can only be gifted once per day, gifts not sent don't roll-over to the next day and reset back to the total you have available to send. I don't know for certain if the gifts don't hold if you don't collect, I would think that they would based on the fact that I can't send gifts everyday to a friend of mine since the button doesn't become available each day as I would think it would if the gifts were collected from their end but I am not 100% certain. Hopefully this helps you with your question!
