Btw the use of imgur for hosting photos on forums is a violation of their TOS, (Terms of Service).

Stuff not to do

If someone else might own the copyright to it, don't upload it. Don't upload gore, "hate speech" (i.e. demeaning race, gender, age, religious or sexual orientation, etc.), or material that is threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that encourages violence or crime. Don't upload illegal content such as child porn or nonconsensual ("revenge") porn. Don't hotlink to adult content or to file-sharing, gambling, torrent, warez, or Imgur rip-off sites. Don't impersonate someone else. Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. Thanks for posting this @skyfire , but to my befuddled brain, it then begs the q;  what is imgur for?  It's not needed for producing our own photos on our own computers and printers, or for emailing same to friends etc... I thought it WAS a 'content delivery system' for forum etc posting... Idgi 🤔

That is what I thought they were too Kiwichris, then they changed everything. Why would you want to just store photos on the website, when you could just as easily store them on your on computer. All very odd.

Imgur was created by a group of people on Reddit, in a large part because all the other image hosts were doing annoying things in the name of profit.

They then quickly started doing annoying things first in the name of sustainability, then profit. The last few years they've social-networked up the site, turning it into a great place {citation needed} to browse and share images and comments with the imgur community, and a significantly worse place if you just want somewhere to host your images. Much more ad revenue for them that way.

(As an aside, the ToS is badly worded. Imgur doesn't mind you hosting images there to put in forum posts, but they don't like you using it to host structural parts of forums, for instance the desktop site DV community banner, or for things like avatars/signatures that will be in every post you make.)

Some people, myself included, are a bit annoyed at the changes, but alternatives are few and far between because nobody with any sense wants to start a new image host. This is mostly due to how much of a colossal pain they are to moderate, on top of the standard problems of getting people to adopt the site.

I use Google Photos now, which is if anything worse to get the embed link for, but at least it doesn't compress my images back to the 16 bit era. As for imgur, the mobile site is essentially unworkable now, so my only advice would be to make sure you request the desktop site. (The method varies depending on your browser, but in Safari press and hold the refresh button.) Then I just keep poking at the image until a link turns up...

Hmmm... If you look closely at this Coming Soon, you can see the DragonVale Logo.

Soooo...this game nearly gave me a heart attack after I updated.

What do I see when I first logged in after updating but a swirling suspiciously rifty looking whirlpool suspended in mid air between my islands, with the wizard making a reference (that I don't remember the exact wording to) to Dragonvale.

Heartbeat was restored and returned to normal patterns once the swirling whirlpool was tapped, as it presented a floating island instead of yet more rifty shenanigans in DVW. Looks like some of the dragons from the vale are about to show in DVW, as some decorations from there have already shown up in the shop and the egg above looks somewhat familiar too. (Apocalypse?)

Dragon is Apocalypse, love the colors of the enchanted version.  And not limited in DVW, so I have a chance to build up my crystals again after nearly using them all during the Zen event.  Yay!

I got Apocalypse using EnMineral x EnDewdrop (i.e. fairy in both breeding dragons).  

I got Prism using EnFoxglow x EnParadise (i.e. fire in both breeding dragons)

If I have the enchanted versions, I breed an enchanted pair on breeding island and the unenchanted pair in the cave. 

I also just got EnPrism using the potion, crystal and Prism x EnFire on the breeding island.

Ha! Well here's an unexpected turn
I'm having breeding success and loads of enjoyment with DVW; so glad, after months of disappointing bad luck with every aspect of DV, that I did not delete this game, thanks BFS 💐

For the Automaton dragon, the next flow guide forum says to intersperse every breed with a basic short breed (like fire x jungle) to reset the RNG; so am doing that and alternating between Elfin x Glade and Elfin x Ench Jungle...

Got Apoc in all 3 parks with Mineral x Ench Water

Here are my successful combos for those still trying for these:

Apocalypse...EnMineral x EnDewdrop
EnApocalypse...Apocalypse x EnFairy

Automaton...EnJungle x EnElfin
EnAutomaton...Automaton x EnGlade

I used the rarity potion and crystal for the enchanteds. BTW, it took forever to find a combo that worked for the Automaton so be patient. I didn’t do the reset thing though. Once I had the Automaton, it just took a few tries to get the EnAutomaton.

Your mileage may vary.

The new crop that costs 2 million to grow is probably one of the most significant updates in a long time, because now we can finally grow food that is capped by our DC income rather than just time.

No more having to buy decos just to dump cash.

I finally had to update from the very old way of getting enchanteds. I was down to only needing 20 enchanteds and I started getting duplicates rather than a new one weekly, but... I think I am going to love the new potions. I have got 9 new enchanteds this first week by cranking out airships to get ingredients and shards. It helped that I came over with a pile of dragonsai eggs to convert to crystals from my mailbox. 😉



Any tips from long term players are very welcome as I am new to the potion system.

Do we know for sure at this point whether Invisible dragon is currently possible to breed, or if it was only for a limited time?

It appears in my dragonarium in the Epic group, but not the limited group, so should be available.

How do I summon the new Legendary dragon? I have all the Zodiac dragons (except for e few enchanted). And I think they are all in the right places, I think. Do we need to have collected all the enchanted, also? Thanks!

Just visited Your park, and you don’t have any in the right spot. When you have the right zodiac dragon on the right pedestal, the blue spot on the pedestal shows the zodiac symbol. And when you have the right enchanted, it lights up the blue rings. Feel free to visit my park to see what I mean

Thank you, Fletch! The Legendary is now mine! Shifting the dragons one space to the left took care of the problem. I’m not sure how I managed to get them off by one space, but all is well now. Your answer made it possible.

Also, it’s really nice to have you back on the forum; you were missed.
