So the limited time dragon has got to be released this weekend, doesn't it? I'm going to guess that since it was listed in the app update as: "...and a limited time surprise dragon" that it literally is going to be a Surprise Dragon. Wagers anyone?

This is me, also. Plus, for the first time, because of RL, I haven't been able to max everyday & bank lots of event currency. I have really hit a dry spell with this game.
Or you can try to breed it with a combo of any four elements.
So Firefly/Scorch + Seaweed/Swamp for lowest average fail times
Thanks, I was surprised on 1st try on cave with L18 firefly/L17 swamp.
I haven't gotten one in my main park yet, but got one in my baby park with this same combo (firefly & swamp - both L11 in the EBS) on the first try. Always seems to be my support park that gets the goodies like this first. :/ Anyway, the REAL surprise for me is that I did not get an immediate epic fail on any of the other attempts made in my main park.

Surprise is 24h, right? I think I've just got one on my 4th try on the EBI with Scorch and Swamp. Phew!
I'm another one who's going to have to buy roses if I want to get all the dragons. I was on 5672 when I started today, having purchased Aura and Serenity and had no luck trying to coop breed a Melancholy. And I still don't have an omnitat, and I'm kind of reluctant to let it go *again*.
When I try to put a dragon in the rose arena today, I'm getting "Daily Challenge Limit" message: "We're out of challenges for now. More challenges will be ready in" (counting down from 24 hours). I've restarted the game and rebooted the iPad. I sent a request to customer support, but wondered if anyone here is having this problem?

Huh. Strangely, I can put a dragon in my arena, but I only have 1/10 mini-game tries left -- which is what I had at the end of yesterday. Of course, I had a couple arena tries left after yesterday too. No amount of force closing the app seems to fix it. It's not a big deal for me, since I have the one try left which I can play the match game on as many times as I like, but I'll miss out on spinning the wheel to use up my extra tries. What gives?

I took a gamble and decided to use gems to speed up my short-ish fails while trying for Surprise.
3rd speed up in the island resulted in a Double Rainbow fail (using level 15 scorch and swamp). Since I have 60-odd DRs I was not amused.
Then I tried speeding up Level 20 Firefly and Swamp in the cave. About 10 speed ups later (3 to 6 gems each) and I have a 24 hour timer. Here's hoping it is a Surprise!
