I have been unable to successfully breed an aura dragon during the event, until today - a lovely Surprise - using heat and ice in my EBI. Others seem to be having some luck with this one; I hope it reaches all forum members!

Am I the only person who gets a max error when trying to spin the wheel and enter the arena? I can get roses by hatching etc but can't enter the arena or spin the wheel. I've done everything to try and fix it.
I'm having the same issues... Nothing seems to be fixing it!
Did you contact them? I just sent them an email explaining the issue. I'm very upset bc these glitches should be worked out. I'm now behind 2 days. The more people who let them know there is an issue, the better.

Ok, I looked it up myself and it looks like the odds are 1 in 8330 that I'd get fail 176 times in a row. Guess I should have given it another 100 tries. Then the odds of not getting one would have been 1 in 1.4 million. Surely I might have gotten one by that time!

Yes, I need to do that. They're generally pretty quick about replying to things like this. What is strange, is that it's only affecting my main park - even though I manage a couple baby parks, none of them are affected. Let us know when you hear back from them and what they say!

I only buy one when it hits a Billion. Why fool around with this chump change of only 100 million? (Maybe I've been playing Dragonvale too long.)

Well, Surprise, Surprise, Surprise (I sound like Gomer Pyle... youtu.be/2TnkJ8_BmSI for those who don't get the reference) - Serenity + Ire in the EBC produced a Suprise! I am...surprised.
Now if I could just get this stinking Barite that I've been trying to get in two places (CBC and EBI) the entire time...I'd be a happy Valer!! :/

Apparently surprise is a possible fail for barite. I'm still trying for barite in one park, emptied the site, hit retry and didn't even look to see what the fail was until this morning. Surprise! I hope it's not going to be another motley dragon....
I am having no luck with any of this event. Added to which I have 48 hours with try 1 on the island and now another 48 hours in the cave. Like really? Congrats to everyone who had this dragon easy.

When they say "15th", they usually mean "early on the 16th". So the event should end 24 hours after Surprise expires.

Awesome, thanks. Trying to calculate how much total roses I'll have + banked to see if I'll have enough to buy all the dragons + 1 omnitat by the end. Still sad that it's not a double weekend
then spent 200+ gem trying to breed a 2nd Surprise, and surprise surprise for there is no Surprise, but 2 DRs (surprises?) I was surprisingly calm and collected when I fast bred this dragon. I was totally aware of my irrational action/behavior.
The question is... Had anybody successfully bred a 2nd Surprise?

Most welcome and thanks for your kind words! My plan went up in smoke. No doubles this weekend messed it up, so I'm back to breeding for Ire again. Thanks to all who have it offered in the coop!
Instead of Scorch+Swamp I used my Elder Water + Love. Success in two parks which is very necessary because I couldn't breed a single Aura up to now and don't have enough roses to buy all 5.
Wouldn't it be great if the Love dragon is the secret ingredient for the Surprise dragon, due to Valentine Day being on the horizon?
I read this late last night and, I tried it. Went to bed not realizing 19xx was the reduced breeding time. Alas, I was surprised to find an egg I didn't recognize, I hit retry on the pair and got another 19xx!
Please count me as further anecdotal evidence of the power of Love (and wisdom of Elders maybe too.)

So sorry to hear of your troubles. Also sending good wishes for your success soon! I just tried serenity 11 + ire 15 on epic breeding island & it came up 19h 12minutes ..sandbox says is surprise dragon I was following shoemom's advice & think someone else posted success w/that combo too ... Tried firefly/swamp, love/water, scorch/swamp, & tried several times in coop cave w/diff dragons (flower, coral) with a neighbor's surprise dragon & had no l-u-c-k Maybe next try will be the one for you! Here's hoping )
