So I'm very new to dragonvale, and didn't reach a high enough level to participate in the gathering of roses until about the middle of last week. I wanted to grab as many dragons as I could with the roses I could get in that short time. I desperately wanted surprise but decided I'd never get enough roses for Surprise and the aura habitat, so I decided to get serenity and the aura habitat instead. I'm so glad I did get the aura habitat, as just this morning I bred Surprise! It's incubating now, and I'm kinda ridiculously excited. Anybody know if you can still breed them? Or is the breeding time also up, now that you can no longer get them with roses?

At the moment I am filled with Ire and quite Melancholy, but I would experience great Serenity and be filled with Delight, if I could only breed some Aura Dragons. Actually I would like a Moonstruck, Rose and Lunar Eclipse in my small park
In the past, that should have been enough, but if kydolind and wapatango promise not to report me to the rest of the family, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE, WHINE. This is only a test.

As the event has ended, so has my test of the DragonVale Community Forum Whine System. I will let others judge the success of my whining and the system.
In my main park, I was able to breed one Surprise dragon, but no other Aura dragons the entire event. The only other successful breeds I had during the event were my Barite and egg.
In my small park, I also bred one Surprise, but no other Aura dragons. However, yesterday I was finally able to breed my Moonstruck pedestal. When I sent it to the nursery, I bred my two Roses together and succeeded in getting my Rose pedestal also.
In both parks, I have enough Roses to buy everything I need, so it was a successful event.
I have about 8600 plus banked and have gotten everything I need. I have all aura dragons and pedalstools, bought 2 omnitats and 2 aura habitats. What else should I get? I feel like it's such a waste of roses:(
I would buy another dragon and some decos.

Where is my rose depot or prize place everything disappeared and I can't use my remaining 385 roses? It's not in a little box on the left like in the past. Also does anyone know how to breed melancholy in coop breeding.

Welcome to the forum! The breeding time is up for the locked combo of Surprise, as it was a 3-day-only dragon. However, since it is an epic dragon, you always have a chance of breeding another one in the Coop breeding cave if you breed it with someone else's. You also have a low chance of breeding a second one if you breed yours with any other epic dragon within your own park or in the Coop breeding cave with any epic dragon of someone else (emphasis on the words LOW CHANCE).
My guess is that BFS will be releasing other Aura dragons in the future, and the same with Ornamental dragons. So it's not a bad idea to get the second habitat now if you can, because event habitats do not count against your total, whereas market purchased habitats do. If you can't afford it with the roses you have collected, don't worry about it, as it will likely be available on the market in the future as well, when and if they release more Aura dragons. The only difference will be that it will count toward the total number of habitats in your park.

You could always consider buying the decorations, even if just for the gem reward(s) that you'll get. You can stick them in storage if you have nowhere to put them right now, or just sell them if you don't want them at all.

I second the welcome. For my 2 cents' worth, here's something else you can do:
1. Make Friends here. The more the merrier. 2. When anyone puts up their Surprise, try for a clone and keep yours blue-hearted. That way, even if you don't get one, someone else might get lucky and produce a twin for you.

In a word, no. This stretch seemed quite long due to the last event & BEB starting in mid December, extending BEB up to about a week before this one. Even if it's only a 3 week rest, it'll be just enough. Feel free to feed me my words if I'm back here before then getting all excited about when's a new event coming?

It was definitely on sale. We have had the flu at our house, and it was my turn last. wapatango had called to see how we were about 15 or 20 minutes before it left the market and mentioned it, or we would have missed it. As it was she went into one park while I quickly, even though sick, went into the others, having to switch accounts. However, thanks to Wapa, we all managed to get one. I'm sorry some of you missed it. Unfortunately, I didn't get the second Surprise, so I will still have to breed for it, if I want it, and ever have the chance.

If you banked 18k, then you actually beat me! I managed about 17k in my social menu - I just didn't spend anything until overtime.
ah, it appears you're right! I calculated how much I spent plus my 18,764 banked roses from the social menu and it looks like I earned about 45k roses this event. It's a shame they didn't have more prizes (I bred the surprise dragon and got a second as a twin, but bought the pedestal) but hopefully future events follow this pattern. I managed to get 2 of each dragon, decoration, and habitat that was the new content, as I already had all the old content. I hope everyone was able to get the prizes they hoped for and if not, the CBC will help get the rest of the elusive Auras! koala. Thanks to everyone who gifted me during the event.

Thanks for the welcome! I didn't realize Surprise was only 3 days, I thought it had been the whole festival. Unfortunately, I only have 1,175 roses left. I'm planning to get Rose as soon as I get to level 16(I'm at 15 now) with my leftover roses. At least I hope it works that way, that Rose will be available then.
I didn't realize that there was a max number of habitats, now I know what that message means when you increase levels and it says something like +1 maximum or something like that...

Or I might be doing something wrong. It's says - beth75 -, does the dashes count as part of the id? Maybe that's my problem, I didn't add the dashes in the thread.... Or maybe I'll have better luck once my Surprise hatches, if people are looking for clones.

You'll observe that some folks here publish their GCID in their profiles/signatures; also some indication of their gem-buddy status. Even if they may be booked up in that area, that should be good for cooperative breeding.

I apologize for not getting back to you. I did receive your friend request. My gem slots are full but am happy to have our dragons breed in the coop center and we can visit each other's parks and get $ through party hats.
I will accept your request, just wanted you to know that for now my gem slots are full. Wish we could have more than 3! Hoping to get gem tree soon...
