I turned off all but the egg notification and I think I am only getting my breeding and incubation notification now... It's in the setting tab if you haven't tried that already

Oh right, that exists now. But I think turning off "reminders" would also get rid of the quest notifications, and I do want those.

Waves to Viviane, and all the members! Yep, still around and still playing, just don't visit as often as before. Your name popped up as a possible quest partner and it made me smile to think you would get additional berries from me. Has been a very busy year around here, much busier than we anticipated when my husband retired. Still love the game and am totally hooked on the new DragonVale World edition.

Collecting enough berries is pretty easy in my main park but seems a real struggle in the little park. Not enough FB friends on that account to get more than 25-50 berries on combined quests. Should help a lot when the gifts to hunt show up in the parks. Am using the Sandstorm dragons in one breeding spot, but may have to not worry about missing dragons and add more sandstorms to the other slot.

I have also added lots of people over the months for co-op. I have over 1300 people on FB. I stopped accepting friend requests because I am afraid I am going to jam up my game during these events. With so many different people sending 30 iceberries and my game having to hold all these iceberries until I can collect them at the end of an event, I am concerned. My game was lost to me for around 9 months in 2015 and I was resigned to not being able to play Dragonvale again when out of the blue, during a random attempt, i was able to reconnect. It probably wasn't an over abundance of friends that caused this, the co-op wasn't even part of the game yet when it happened. It's probably just me and my post traumatic stress caused by my losing the ability to play dragonvale for all those months. I would like to shake it off and start accepting friend requests again. Hey, guess what. Turns out that Leap Year I thought I was getting yesterday is actually an Ortreat dragon. Must've read the timer wrong since the game went wonky and by the time I got it to load again a couple minutes got shaved off the timer. So it looks like I'm still getting Halloween dragons during the Christmas season. Lol

But on the bright side this little Ortreat dragon brought one of his friends along - a Reindeer dragon. So now I can cross off one of the dragons on my Christmas list.

FWIW, I'm reasonably confident that they've ironed out those bugs by now. I've been hoarding all the gifts I received during the past couple events and never had those weird problems like in the past.

Also, Backflip's support is pretty excellent and they've never let me down. Were they not able to help you with that?

Well that's good news. Maybe I will start adding more friends.

I kept getting the message that Dragonvale had stopped working. I told BFS, but they weren't exactly able to help me. We emailed back and forth for awhile with Backflip telling me to try some stuff that didn't help. Eventually they said they were aware of the problem and were working on it. I would shoot them an email every now and again but never got anywhere. I gave up after awhile but I still kept trying every couple of months to open the game. Finally after around 9 months when I tried the game it surprised the heck out of me by opening up. I was pretty happy cause I missed this game and I am happy to be able to play it again. So I guess I could say Backflip didn't let me down either. It just took longer than I hoped and had I not kept trying I never would have known it was fixed.

BTW, would anyone know if there's free wifi in Doha airport? Must be, that's practically Luxembourg that side of the planet, higher per-capita than many of us here, mumble, mumble...)

PS: Any dragon hatched in Qatar will be named "Youbuffoon" in honour of Terry Pratchett's Pythagorean camel. And any second dragon will be named "Doha" to mark the place.

The hybrids are best to go for because you can't breed them unless you have two (or one and one from co-op). That means: Thundersnow, Flurry, Snowbrush.

You can breed epics without having one of your own in the co-op cave, so don't stress about: Ribbon and Tinsel.
