It was the daily reward for checking into your park. Day 60/100 toward the wish. I got a valor dragon from today's egg reward. 😀

That means you missed a day in the daily rewards. You will get the egg tomorrow, and the gems are ~17 days away.

For my reward today, I got a twin aurora. Not one I needed.
I know the feeling. I got a twin Monolith I don't have it yet, but there were a few others I would have liked first. I think we should get a choice!
I got a Twin Solar Eclipse, I really love its design and colors! I've got at least one of every epic and many twins, but not this one. All my Epic Twins are fed to L20 cause I like the blue stars.
I think it's good that we got them as eggs, so if we want we can keep them as a pedestal.
And I don't think we should "look a gift horse in the mouth". Pick your gift? 🎁 BFS been berry berry good to me.

It's been a good event. I managed to breed Cuddlewing, and moments after collecting my Stoneheart dragon as the day 18 gift, I bred Rosegold. So in 3 days, I'll be fire-breathing again.
I got a twin Honeyglow as my day 60 epic gift, have warped in island 17 and finally feel like I have some space to redecorate.
In the past few days, I've also managed to get my seconds of Tinsel and Ribbon.
I just need seconds of Rosegold, Stoneheart and Cuddlewing, which will be background coop tasks for the next couple of weeks
All in all, I'm very happy and nearly back to being BORED
Day 5: koalas still ellude me. They dance like shadowy specters across my closed and tired eyes, just out of my reach. I grow weary and discouraged. But I refuse to give in to despair! I shall not be moved! I SHALL PREVAIL! I SHALL HAVE MY DRAGONS!!!

On one occasion, the daily reward didn't pop up automatically for me. I had to go to the gifts menu and click the chest icon to claim it manually.
Maybe that happened to you.
I've found that if you click on the banner that sometimes shows up as you're logging into Dragonvale, you get taken to that screen and you miss the daily login reward. For example, it had a splash screen for the last call for Panlong yesterday. I clicked it by accident, trying to click the little 'x'. Game went in, took me to the Panlong in the market, and did not open gifts.
If you go to the social menu and click the treasure box at the bottom, you can still collect it.
I got distracted by business meetings this morning and completely forgot about the Honeyglow deadline!

Thank the wizards its an epic and I have my gem stash built up again... still, not how I wanted to spend gems...
I'm catching up on reading the posts, I keep forgetting to look here.
Anyway, I feel your pain. I forgot to get Snowpocalypse in both parks.
Someone posted that they had gotten three or more using (trying to remember...) flower + Snowpocalypse? So, I started breeding my level 20 flower with best Snowpocalypse I could find in coop. One park was successful on the 6th try. In the other park I stopped counting at 62 tries.
But the good news is that I got Snowpocalypse in the park that needed it from the non-event daily gift today. It was the only non event dragon I needed.

My gift dragon was monolith 6. Would much rather have tidal because the entire BEB I coule not get it. And then I just raged out and bought the rosegold so I can get the gift as a twin. Trying to get twins for every dragon..............the saga continues😐😑
