I've never heard a limit on how much you can bank but generally the events allow you to "clear" your bank 1000 at a time during the week after the event has ended. All "uncleared" roses will turn into dragon snacks.

The event islands always have a section with minigames for collecting event currency. This time it's called Gardenia's Gamery. BFS limits minigame plays to 10 and usually represents this as tickets remaining, so to drop a dragon (or spin a wheel, or whatever the game type is) you have to use one of your 10 tickets (attempts). Truth to tell, though, I didn't notice if they're using the ticket metaphor this year or not, I just burned through all 10 attempts like it was my first rodeo!

I thought that once you maxed out it wouldn't let you play anymore. How do you save a 'ticket' for banking?
Ps. Mine doesn't drop dragons. I'm jealous mine just drops a ball!?!

OK, so correct me if I am wrong here, but... Looking at the timeline, there are 20 days of event collecting. Calculating based on no doubles, just the basic 1000 max per day, that gives 20000 roses for the event as a base calculation.
Now assuming I'm smart enough to wait and get Stoney as my free dragon, in order to afford the other three plus Omnitat, it requires 18490 roses. That means without any banked days, any double days, or any gifts throughout the calendar, I can hit my goal of those four with 1510 roses to spare.
Now, we know something else will pop up during all this, so here's hoping that I manage to get 7000 banked, that at lease 2 days of doubles makes that another 2000, and that the "surprise" is very affordable.

And don't forget NOT to collect your friends gifts ( which will also have some roses) until AFTER you've reached your daily 1000 roses limit ( wee icon on the left side of screen) no limit to how much in total you can bank til the end of the event, but a 1000 limit per day on what you can collect, whether or not you also spend. Clear? Hopefully koala!!

So to be clear, while people having breeding hints for the new event dragons, you can not actually breed any of them at this time?
There are some reports on the FB groups, of people breeding these with the combos in the breeding hints.
I don't know how reliable those are.
I wanted to ask the same question! For those who haven't seen them, the breeding hints are: Rosegold = Rose + Gold (big surprise huh? Lol) Stoneheart = Love + Melancholy Cuddlewing = Love + Tree Ambrosia = Flower + Delight I don't know about these either. On one hand, the chrysalis dragons were breedable with each other like this, during the event, and they had breeding hints. On the other hand, those were epics, and these are limited hybrids, which have historically only been able to be bred using like + like = like. This might really change things up. I've even heard reports (but again, unverified) that a couple of these are breedable with one of the parents to get itself, almost like epics, I.e. Rosegold + Gold can equal Rosegold, or Cuddlewing and Love and equal Cuddlewing. Definitely not sure about that, but I did see pictures of the above mentioned breeding hints. Can anyone confirm they have successfully bred one of these event dragons? I'm trying in all my breeding spots, and will report back if I yield any good results.

Really odd; breeding w C4's Light dragon in coop, and it's called Cold...but it looks like Light, and in the list its called Light, but as a repeat breed...Cold ; I keep saying 'doofus' to myself for breeding two Colds, and then realising I didn't... Def time for bed

On 3 out of 4 of my parks I received 100 roses from each account and on the 4th I only received 30 roses each. I'm pretty sure when I checked before it was 100 roses each on all 4 of my parks. But I just checked now and that is what is showing up. As well 2 of the parks that did receive 100 roses each from my other parks have had 100 and 200 roses disapear into thin air. Not a huge problem now but if this continues this event will be a waste of time.

Since I did the latest IOS update (10.2.1) I keep losing connection to GC (this had virtually stopped but now requires at least one hard restart every time I play ) Also one of my friends in my second park only appears as 'A DragonVale Player'. I haven't noticed any roses missing but from some friends I have 25 roses per gift and others 50 roses per gift (100 where friends give both treats & DC)

Speaking of event gifts....I think I discovered something that I should have realized and is probably well known to everyone except me, lol. Normally just after reset I open my main park and get that all set up, send out gifts, etc., then I open my baby park and its subsidiaries and get those straightened out and send my main park a gift. Yesterday I decided to start with the baby park.
When I opened my main park, I had a gift from the baby, but it did not contain event currency. Strange as it always has had event currency before. Spent all day trying to figure out what might be wrong. Reset ipad, cleared cache...blah, blah, blah.
Sitting here with my coffee this morning, it dawned on me that since I had not started the event in my main park, that could be why it did not receive event currency. DOH! 😂
Am I on the right track, lol?
So, GC friends, if my theory is correct, I apologize that in past events that first gift of the event has probably not contained event currency. From now on I will send gifts out later in the day.

This event is actually my one year anniversary on Dragonvale. When I hit level 11 last year the event was mostly finished, so I got to do about a week or so last time. I actually had 13 of the 14 things needed to open all the tiers this time. Finally starting not to feel like such a newbie!!!!

Similar thing happened twice to me. I bred lunar eclipse with a friend's twinkle but as a repeat breed it said 2 lunar eclipses. So I found another friend with a twinkle and bred a winter and as a repeat breed it said 2 winters. I gave up and bred for something else thinking it was something about twinkle.

Yes, I had her in my park this morning again as well! You had an excellent start! I started playing in August during the last half of the Pentournament, but still managed to start this event with 12 of 14, thanks in large part to the BeB.
