The witches and wizards have discovered a new dragon class: hidden dragons! Hopefully you will be able to uncover all 4 of them… or is it 5? They’re sneaky that way. Two new chrysalis dragons join the Egg Hunt happenings: Starwing & Glowwing New Large Chrysalis Habitat Try your luck at minigames in the Eggsceptional Arcade to earn Magic Eggs Collect daily rewards in the Sundial of Surprises Enter your dragons in the Chalet of Challenges - Magic Eggs await the brave competitors Introducing the new Monolith Boost for monolith dragons New hues of Color Cubes and other magically stylish decorations to beautify your park
EARNING MAGIC EGGS During the Mythic Egg Hunt, Magic Eggs can be earned in a variety of ways, including: Receiving gifts from friends Breeding dragons Collecting DragonCash or Treats Visiting friends and tapping on party hats Competing in the Colosseum Clearing items from islands Questing at the Perch of Kairos or Legendary Nursery Playing games in the Eggsceptional Arcade Competing in the Chalet of Challenges Collecting from the Burcadian Garden (these eggs count toward your daily egg limit)
EGG OF MYSTERY Within the Egg of Mystery awaits a random dragon. Take a chance on what's inside... you might even hatch a dragon that's not currently available! Alas, the magical aura surrounding the Egg of Mystery excludes the newest dragons
After the Egg of Mystery is purchased, it will transform into a random dragon egg. This could be a dragon you don't have or one you already possess.
TIMELINE The Mythic Egg Hunt runs through April 17th. Prizes will be available through April 21st. On April 22nd, any leftover Magic Eggs will turn into Dragon Treats.
1)Don't collect gems from your friends until after you hit the maximum for the day. That way you can bank the eggs that come with the gifts, to collect in the last week.
2)There is no my side/your side in the 'Chalet of Challenges'. You just need to cover the 4 listed elements with the 2 dragons, with the highest levels possible to get the maximum reward. Easiest to pick a friends high level dragon that covers 2 of the 4 elements first, then cover the other 2 with one of yours.
3) You can also bank the Eggs from the 'Chalet of Challenges'. Have a competition going when you hit the max.
4) Use your last Spin/Guess in the 'Eggceptional Arcade' to hit the daily limit. That way, you can bank some of those eggs too.
5) Put a high-level 3 or 4 element dragon up in coop. That increases the chances of someone else using your dragon in the 'Chalet of Challenges', which can get you extra Eggs as gifts.
6) Switch on path edit mode to help find those pesky hidden Egg baskets. And, same as the flag bearers, you can tap them even if they are behind a habitat, you don't need to move anything. Just make a note of where the basket is, turn off Path Edit mode, and tap the hidden basket.
7) Leave your game open across the reset at the end of a double weekend. Then you can get a 4th double day, that has worked for the last several events. Apparently this still works
8) The eggs from the Burcadian Garden can also be banked.

Breeding the event dragons.
A few people have been asking for tips to clone the new ones in co-op. With the new 'Parent' cloning rule, where you can always get both the parents from any breeding combo (and currently Motley!), you can always just use an Elder of one of the 'dragons elements', or any hybrid containing the same elements.
But if you are looking for an epic with similar elements to clone with, here are some suggestions:

As you go hunting through your parks this day could you verify the color, number, and gift eggs you uncover and report back here. I will be making some additions to the event thread and then will move the Mythic Egg Hunt conversation to the new thread asap. Today you are all honorary Mods! Thanks, kids! Seems there's just one hidden egg for now. Large, golden, and it gives +25.
Also interesting: The new Chrysalis dragons can be bred. Glowwing can be bred with any Chrysalis + Starwing, and Starwing can be bred with any Chrysalis + Glowwing.
So it's a bit of a chicken/egg situation. You'll have to buy your first chicken or use someoneone else's in co-op.

phew to the only one egg!! I searched and searched and was like man these are going to be hard to find lol, but now I see it IS just the one. And man I need a lot of those prizes!! This now marks my year as I started during the mythic egg hunt but didn't get many prizes last time (although I did get ovalith!!). So looking forward to getting lots of goodies!!
Just made a HUGE, epic mistake. Used my wish on the relic of the epics before I checked the list for the egg hunt! I could cry right now! 😳 Epic, EPIC fail!

Ever since the last event, edit path mode will bring up the screen of path selection, which blocks almost half of my screen. Any solution for that? I found it even harder to find hidden eggs than just using my eyesight and hope the egg is not blocked :/

On my Android tablet, it takes up 1/3 of the screen, on my iPad, 1/4.
