No luck on Pond, so I bought it. Now I have to wait another day to get enough eggs for the habitat. Didn't buy the pedestal, tho, I like to breed for those.
Forgot it was doubles (first thing in the morning) and put myself over the limit, so can't try the Exploit . Curious to hear if it still works.
I did hold off on getting the daily gift until the limit was reached. Pleased to see that those Eggs go straight to accumulated (usable) totals instead of to the Backflip Bank!

I have always maxed out, but make sure I have my game open when it is reset time and you can still try the exploit.
I wouldn't waste a wish on it. It will be available to wish for once the event concludes but remember Pond will be around come BEB time. Two of our games got it fairly quickly and the other two hasn't had luck with it. I know that it will be back for BEB so I have decided to try for it in coop or try for it during BEB. I'm not spending the 6000 on it when I need a lot of other things. This is my first egg event so I am missing a lot of pedestals and dragons plus I really want the Lost Island.
I think I'm going to use eggs for it, since the last few events I've had several left over and perhaps I'll have luck breeding another limited one.
Though since I have two wishes, I'd have no problems using a wish on a dragon -- as I have everything else I want. Though that could change. I have two wishes and am considering using one for the newest island. Maybe.
I would honestly save wishes for buying a dragon that is difficult to get (Such as Dream) Esp one that is difficult to get and limited. Pond will come with a bit of patience.

I actually did use my first wish on an Elysium. And I ended up buying the pedestal with gems during the Christmas event. I've never been able to breed one -- though I've managed a few Muses.
And I used my eggs to get the Pond. No habitat for it yet, so it's in an Omnitat.

Hey, quick question... considering the unusual properties of the Mystery Egg, does anyone know if buying one counts towards unlocking higher reward-tiers?
So after getting Pond through a Mystery Egg I kept breeding for a second... GEODE CITY!
Someplace I never want to visit again!
Bought the egg whilst consuming my morning allotment of caffeine. ☕️
Then came the quandry. Do I spend the eggs to get Pond2?
Used gems to speed up a few breeds and finally got to the point where I said, "This is ridiculous spending all these gems, just use your eggs." But then a voice (yes, I hear a voice, not voices mind you) said, "One more time." One last speed up on my Island 15 minutes before reset and BOOM: Pond2! In celebration I purchased a Hidden Hab.
Still have Pond up in my Co-Op as I need/want/desire a Twin. Sorry to all of you who have yet to acquire a Pond. If you wait long enough just when you have forgotten about it Ponds will come in a flood as if a levee broke. You'll be knee-deep in Pond! At least it won't be as bad as visiting Geode City!
Any successful coop breedings of Tansy or Pond? Can you post what epic dragons you used? I have tried to get both without success. I have been trying similiar element types and also have thrown a few random dragons in the mix.

*Twelve hangs head with shame*... I am so mad at myself I could cry right now. All this time... ALL THIS AWFUL TIME!!!... I'm pretty sure I was breeding the wrong Monolith. *Buries face in chair*... wasted. ALL WASTED! what a LOOF I am!!!
(ok, now I know some of you are thinking, Twelve, what's a LOOF? It's easy. Find a friend and have them write it on your forehead - I suggest a sharpy - and then go look at it in the mirror!)
Anyways, moral of the story here should be to pay attention to what you're doing people... should be, but it's not. The moral is actually pity me.... :/

I couldn't find an epic dragon that has all four elements but I found these:
Solstice = F, E & A Equinox = F, W & A Solar Eclipse = F, W & A Mono2 = F, E & W Mono5 = E, W & A
Panlong might be worth a shot since the new breeding glitch/rules have surfaced.

Well, sad day in Twelveland. I just blew through my gem stash speeding and breeding, only to end up with nothing (curse u gambling instinct). So I broke down and bought pond dragon.
If I am reading correctly, I may have a chance to breed two others and one free, so not out of the game yet... until the 2nd limited shows up!
Now don't you be saying "12 u crazy", cause u know it's bound to happen. With a monolith boost as a prize it's likely another of them.
Anyways, time to keep on trying... oh, and back to work I go (darn short breaks)

I think you made the right choice! I used a bunch of gems but couldn't breed a Pond either, so with minuets left on the clock I bought one with eggs. (Saving my wish.)
I think another limited is coming, I mean we can pretty much know that to be true right? There are 5 monolith+hybrid that we know of, so a 6th one is coming!!!
I am not going to buy that mystery egg. I am only missing the event dragons, so more than likely that gamble will be a twin of something I already have. (I might buy it if I have enough eggs saved at the end and can take the risk but still buy all the dragons.)

maybe not a "best" dragon, but since epics can be cloned by any hybrids now, here are some dragons that share the same elements as the newest event dragons:
Paper/dazzling/twinkle/ambrosia/carnival/sakura/trick/ortreat/nosferatu/spectre/bone/ghost/arbor/garden/clover/gift/regift/mistletoe/holly or delight/melancholy/ire/serenity/any chrysalis + starwing/glowwing
Lichen/harvest/century/mono 1 + Pond
