Does anyone have advice on how to know when to tap on treasure chests in our habitats? I sometimes tap too soon, so don't get magic rewards. I know habitats fill at different times, but how do you keep track?
As far as I found, it is random. I have cashed when it just popped up and full, doesn't make a difference.
Sadly, as evidenced by the changes from previous events to this one, clearly $revenue$ generation has turned into the primary focus!
I am certain that all this nonsense of making us use resources and the surplus event currency changes are due to the opening of the rift! Dragonvale World creators must have crossed over. Surely when we repair the rift our generous original Dragonvale creators will be back to restore normalcy. 😂

When habitats reach a third of their max, the treasure chest appears. When you see gold coins around the chest, the habitat has maxed out...

Unfortunately, no. As far as we know Magic only will bring them to your park. The elements were added to the Dragon info for Quests and after the event.

The prizes we have now are just the beginning and the event look may change as well (pure speculation on my part) since the next prize grouping is named Faire. Maybe we will have 5 different types of events thrown together as the Pentournament 🤔(once again my speculation and I am prone to flights of fancy😁). So now for my own summary of the 5 + pages of comments, news, ideas and so on. 😜
1. Cool graphics, cools dragons 2. Easy collection of magic and lots of eggs, stars, presents and house flag bearers to find. 3. Airship hugely draining on resources. I for one am going to take a miss on them on sage advice from houseofjoy 👍 4. No saving past daily max all extra goes toward house dragon for house you are part of. 5. Saving gifts from friends almost useless other than for use on days you need to top up if to busy in RL. 6. If saving gifts only 3 days at end to get more prizes so anything over 3000 will be converted to DC not treats at a almost useless conversion.

EDIT: 😫😫Reading this I realized that BF has killed all the fun out of trying to get the dragons in coop. Trying so hard to bank gifts and extras for more prizes or just lots of treats to feed dragons. Basically all my careful preparation of my spreadsheets are USELESS. 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝BF

With the demise of game centre I just started in FB to be able to friend people from this forum and join in on the fun. Please message me if you want to send a friend request so I know to watch for you😊, I never check FB otherwise. I'm deleting random requests way too many of those 😮.

Sent $9.99 BFSs way for a Bottle Of Magic to have enough for an Egg of Mystery. Thought: If I get one of the new dragons I can share it in the Co-Op and give others a leg up in the event. Did I get a Alpenglow? NO! Did I get a Blightwing? NO! DiD I get a Snowsquall? NO! Did I get a Spore? NO! Did I get a Voltaic? NO! I got a Twin Kite. Did I need a Twin Kite? NO! Already have one. Did I need a Twin Kite Pedestal? NO! Already have one. Does BFS think I am going to send out another Airship tonight when it wants 1.5+million Treats? HA! My lack of coffee fog has lifted and I haven't had that many gin & tonics!
Anyway, I am sharing my Mountain Sun in the Co-Op as I never did get a Twin the last time around. So for everyone on my list sharing their Light Rift, maybe we will get lucky and find out that that combo will produce an Alpenglow. Then again, maybe not!

Well, it's also 100% guaranteed to not be a current event dragon. And it wouldn't be your first egg if you bought any during the easter event.
Someone on Facebook reported buying 3 mystery eggs and getting 3 of the event dragons. I have no way of confirming whether they're telling the truth, but it's worth bearing in mind.
I gave out my gifts shortly after reset but I think I was to close to reset. Already one of my family has shown they did not get gifts from me. I apologize in advance if anyone did not get their gem/magic. I have learned my lesson and I will wait for a few hours after reset before I give gifts.

Oh, yes, I learned that as well a couple of events ago. I thought I would be able to tell who had opened the game, but even dormant parks had the new theme, so I hope all my gem buddies got their magic.
I didnt see anyone mention that our Dark and Light rift dragons have been morphed.
WOW!!!! Flying light shows! Like the change and really can't wait to get some of the new ones!

The mystery egg could be a dragon you don't have or it may be one you already have. No guarantee. Luck of the draw according to the Help menu in the Prize Pavillion. I just collected gifts from friends. I was maxed out prior to collecting. I got a message saying, you have reached today's limit your gifts have been returned. The magic is still there next to the friends who sent them. They can be banked.
