If you keep your nursery full, the mystery egg goes into your social menu. That way, you could accept the prize after the event ends and get one of the dragons you missed! I just found that out now since my nursery was full.

it definitely has a chance of it, but the chance decreases for each mystery egg you have ever purchased. But there would be no chance of getting a rift dragon while the event is still active.

Oh my dear god!
My house reward dragon was a twin ironwood.
What, I already have a twin Ironwood, so basically I got a twin pedestal.
What the heck for? There are many cool dragons I don't have in this game.
Couldn't even afford all the event dragons.
This event officially stinks. 😭

All these efforts to get a stupid Twin thunder dragon which I already have as well as the twin egg!
This whole event is a disappointment. I think that the next anniversary will be the last one for me.

I got a Spark Dragon, which I already have so I guess I got a Spark pedestal sorta. I'm underwhelmed, but I'm going to go stare at my Ragnarok Dragon and think happy thoughts. Plus I have enough magic for one of the relics (epic) and a mystery egg.

Got a Twin Paper. At least only had a twin Pedestal, so this one is going to be my twin dragon.

BTW, thanks for the Twin Omen dp! That was the second Twin of it, I tried to breed for days, now I will have a Twin Pedestal too.

I can't say it's the worst egg to get for the participation mystery egg, since it is a twin.... A twin PLANT! Augh

OK, so after getting everything I deemed 'necessary" through the prizes up until now, I've got 3503 magic left. Add the 3000 I can get from the bank in the next few days, I'll have 6000 and a bit left to spend. I can:

a) get one more dragon out of the large number I don't have (4 of 5 house dragons, air & metal rift)

b) get all the pedestals of the dragons available now so I don't have to bother breeding that one extra egg. If I get them all I can still afford 1 mystery egg too at that point.

c) fill up my nursery and buy 3 Eggs of Mystery to keep in my Social Menu to open after the event, in the hopes of getting one of the new dragons I don't have.

Leaning toward B or C, as no matter what I've got a long list of breeding to do after the event. What's the point of getting one more dragon, when I've gotta breed so many anyway? Might as well get the eggs of mystery for the suspense.  B shortens my breeding list by the most, though, and still gets me an egg of mystery too...

This event is almost over. Almost over! Whew!

I thought I remembered from previous events that when you bought your first mystery egg it was always an event dragon. Did they change the rules for this one, or am I remembering it incorrectly? I am kinda scared to place the egg in my nursery right now I may wait till the event ends. (and yes this is my first 'egg of mystery')

I know what you mean with rotten luck with mystery/reward eggs - I got an Arctic today for my "participation" egg and a Tree about a week ago when I bought a 2nd mystery egg. So frustrating!

Missing dragons taunt me, I need to double-check my math but I think I can nab all the rift types with enough left over to get, say, two rift habitats. Pretty sure I won't have enough for the island. The rift reward habitats are upgradeable yes?

Ooo Thankyou! I had forgotten I could afford a mystery egg! Am not going to buy peds cos want something to breed for and I'm running low-ish on those ( only about 5 to go...WHAT!! Never thought I'd get to here!!!) and can't afford the last rift draggie or last 3 house draggies...
