Woohoo! Got a Harvest in the regular breeding den with Bog X Earth. Didn't have high hopes, just wanted to get my dens going while I looked up info on the event and dragons and formed a game plan. The Coop didn't turn out so well, though. Double Rainbow. Ugh.
My game is very jerky and laggy after the update. Anyone else having issues with that?

Rift Breeding was kind to me today, giving me a Seraph on the second try. Leveled him up and have him up in Co-op if anyone is interested. I've only managed to unlock one of the treats though, so still some work to go on that end.

I really don't get this whole food thing... On one of the Event Farms I could replant Cubetubers, but Cubetubers are still "greyed out", even on this farm. But on both of my parks, the the new crops at the top of the list are activated. They weren't at the beginning of the event (at least I think so) and I don't know why they are now. I'm feeling the same way. I read through the discussion earlier in the thread, but still don't get it.
Planted Zazzberries and Omega Squash next to each other several times, but nothing interesting happened. I am wondering if they have to be harvested near-simultaneously? All the suggested crop pairings have different maturation times, so I'm not sure what to do? The tutorial was not very clear about this crop-mixing business, and I'd love some "explain it to me like I'm a toddler" level instructions.
Now along with the crashes I was having in the previous lot, I am getting, "We're sorry! It seems like a wizard's spell went wonky in your park." going awry on startup. Anyone else having problems ??
This is on an ipad mini 32.
Otherwise having fun with it. Fed my Dark dragon to Elder level.

I think you can cause the crossbreeding to occur (which allows you to hit regrow), but unless you get the "Unlocked a new crop type" popup message you haven't actually unlocked it to plant at your leisure.
Also, once you unlock it, crops don't seem to have that % chance to randomly cross-breed again
Once you unlock the two new crops (maybe there will be more throughout the event or throughout the year), you can go back to Fiery Figs.

You have to breed squash and zazzberries next to each other repeatedly to get the new nubbleberries. The plant all should be avoided till you get the message the it has been unlocked. Individually harvest and plant the treats till you get the message. I had to repeat this about 10 times. There seems to be a bit of randomization in it. It doesn't happen the first time like the two roots and pumpermelon. I then closed the app and when I when back in the nubbleberries were unlocked. Star pods were always unlocked for me. Maybe when you grow a limited treat they unlock or have 11 upgraded farms?

Yes having issues with my extra park on my crappy old android. The game got very jerky and laggy after the Rift update and now after the latest one it is just unplayable at times. Takes an eternity to do every tiny little thing, on the verge of throwing my phone out the window sometimes. The game also keeps throwing me out, maddening.
Works really well on my Apple ipad though, no issues there.

The whole thing seems to be a bit buggy... Got a pop-up for the nubbleberries unlocked but they are still locked, even after new loading DV. Also the ...pods are re-locked again. :/

I’m confused. I thought we only should try for the new plants ie. Cucs etc on the om island. When I go In the market it says I have the full amount of treat habitats so can’t buy towers. How are pple doing this??
I can't get into the game at all at the moment. It says I need an internet connection, which I definitely have, lol, as I have just finished pkaying one if my most wonky other games which requires an internet connection. 😂
I have difficulty with starting dragonvale. keeps saying i need an internet connection, but since I am here, my internet is fine. Anyone else have this problem ? I have an ipad pro
Like everyone else, having major login problems. Takes 5-6 tries to get the park to load sometimes, this is on ios 11. IT's been weird since the new version was released, but got really bad today. I did finally get in, just keep trying. Kill the app, restart it, etc and try several times.
When I just logged in, I got a message that I received a Zaffer dragon. It's one of the rift dragons I was missing, no idea why. I'm guessing it's compensation for all the errors we are getting? I put it in a habitat, and then the game restarted on me. It's still there though.

Whine starting... As if the rift does not confuse me enough, now we have the om of whatever ... Very very puzzled. Seems i am paying a horrific amount for food ...am i getting an astounding amount of food for my money? Otherwise, why am i doing this? So so confused ... Have read this thread & explanations of what we should do, half the time i don't even understand the question asked, let alone the answer given... Think perhaps i just need to try to breed for the new dragons..otherwise too frustrating .. Thanks so much to you wonderful valers who do understand what is going on & please do continue to give us tips & helps... I keep waiting for that penny to drop for me but hasn't dropped yet ... Olds where are u, what exotic locale are you visiting...has the penny dropped for u yet?

Try upgrading your existing farms to the towering version. You can only upgrade them if you aren't currently growing crops, however.
As a side note, it appears that only the towering gardens have the cross-linked particles floating between them.... does that mean you cannot unlock the new treats using any garden except the new towers?

I think the Tower is the next upgrade to the treat farm. When I click on one of my current (Large?) treat farms, I get an "Upgrade" option for 25 gems to a Grand Treat Farm. Maybe the Tower is after that?
