Woe is me. 😭 Rather than erring to the side of caution, I should have thrown all to the wind and embraced the glitch!🤨 Then, instead of buying only 21 Surprise Pedestals with my available Roses, I could have bought an additional 61 with the 31,453 Roses locked up in gifts! After selling, I could have had 75 million more DC!!! 😳

The help menu says gather roses ends 20th, presents available ( and I imagine claim up to 1000 roses from your bank) til 21st, on 22nd any leftover roses -> DC Don't forget michou 's info re using up extra roses on trading eggs::
Buy an iron blossom pedestal for 395 roses, then sell it for 1 000 000 DC (2531 DC per rose) Buy a honeyglow pedestal for 830 roses, then sell it for 2 500 000 DC (3012 DC per rose) Buy a surprise pedestal for 520 roses, then sell it for 1 750 000 DC (3365 DC per rose)
I am so impressed with how BFS handles these problems.
I just got an in-game notification that started "We're sorry!"
How many companies do that?
It said that DV had "a technical issue with the Gathering of Roses event" and is therefore giving a gift egg for our patience. I had to close the game and reopen before it showed up in my gift menu, but once I did that, I found a new line with a Backflip Studios gift egg of mystery. I hope everyone gets them and has koala with their hatchings!

Most of the other gaming companies I've had the displeasure of dealing with have just ignored any errors, or shrugged and said "oh, well" when you contact support. My personal favorite is when they blame your device or your wifi connection.🙄 The way BFS handles issues is one of the reasons why I am glad to continue buying gems.

Yes, me too. Also it's the reason I've been stuck with DragonVale. I played two other Dragon breeding games alongside DV, one of them for an even longer time than DV when I stopped playing all of them. The only game I went back to was DV, because it felt more "human" instead of only about making money. The breeding odds for even rare dragons were (and probably still are) much higher and there was and is no game content (dragons or items with added value for gameplay) which can only be achieved with real money.

I have all the dragons. I am missing about 70 twins and I got Tumblethorn as my apology egg which I already have the dragon and pedestal. Womp Womp! 😒
I'm sorry for you. The last two gifts were also disappointing for me.
Today I got a rifted Twin Bearded in my main park and Tumblethorn in my second park, which was one of only two dragons missing. Now I only need Nimbus to achieve a fire breathing Dragonarium in my second park for the first time. I'm sure BFS will release another dragon before I can breed Nimbus, but hey, never been this close!
What I wanted to say is: even if one isn't happy with a present today, the next one can be better again. I think BFS is doing a very good job with their algorithms to please us with the gifts they give. With just doing "simple" math and logic they can't please all of us all the time, but I'm quite sure they would like to if there only was a possibility.

Yes, I think that's the problem BFS has. What to gift a player already owning all dragons? That's where algorithms begin to get complicated. Still one can have more luck next time again and receive another useful gift. My last gifts were a rifted Conch Twin from the community egg (already owned one from a mystery egg) and a Tumblethorn which I bought the day before. But nonetheless I always feel happy for all fellow players enjoying their presents.
Oh No!! I totally forgot to spend my roses on my mini acct. Just logged in for the first time today and got 8 million dc for all my event currency.😕 I was waiting till the end of the event to buy anything since I wasn't hitting the full 1000 roses a day on a level 20 game. I wanted to carefully choose which dragons to buy. At least I got an Aura habitat last week. Sigh. I have no idea why I didn't shop last night like I did on my main acct.
nessa you have the most wonderful Aloha Spirit! Thank you so much for making your comments and putting things into prospective. I have been just a bit irritated for my last few “gift” eggs. But you are so right, it’s all algorithms and stuff like that. Sure, things go wrong, not everything can be perfect all the time. BFS does do an excellent job at keeping all its Valers as happy as they can. I also have never played a game as enjoyable and as long as I have played DragonVale 😊
