I bred a Smitten in coop with my Delight and someone's Smitten. Every time I see "coop" (since I'm too lazy to type (co-op), I think chicken coop. Hmm wonder if dragons taste like chicken.
yes
Ooooo way to jinx breeding and stir up your sulphur dragons! Lol 😈😈😈😈😈😈😈🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐲🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🐉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💥

Also, some people in the DV Facebook groups that I am in have found 2 quests so far: Scorn - Green-Eyed Guide (fire, plant, earth) Smitten - Overly Attached (cold, plant, fire) - [I'm personally getting quite tired of dragons having these same 4 elements, whether they are limited hybrids or they are epics and contribute the elements when breeding with them. All the fails are the same, and it's a bit exhausting seeing the same dragon fails every event]
also found was a quest called "Bemine (be mine) Spelunking" - Sweetheart (fire, earth, lightning, plant)
past event dragons could be cloned once someone had one. we won't know if that's the case with these event dragons until someone has one and has successfully cloned another.
similarly, the sandbox results of breeding Smitten + whatever are going to be wildly off until we know what hidden elements the smitten dragon has. we won't know that until someone has one and has started breeding it.
Cloning is possible. I co-op bred my Serenity with a friends Scorn and got a Scorn.
I bred my Scorn with a friends (different) Smitten and got a Smitten (and 2 other Scorns)
Scorn's hidden elements, according to the breeding hints tab, are: Plant, Earth, & Fire. These 3 elements, along with Cold, seem to be dominant in all the Aura dragons except those with locked combos.
I would LOVE event dragons that didn't just have those 4 elements contributed when they are a part of the breeding combo. The fails have been the same almost every spring (both V Day and Easter - save for the monoliths), autumn (mostly Om of Noms), and winter (Frostival - save for the snowflakes) events. In addition, the earning rates for the Aura, Chrysalis, and most of the limited hybrids all have pretty poor earning rates.
It'd be really nice for an event to have dragons with unique elemental combinations (or unique elements they contribute if they are epics) and good earning rates.

I think the reason they don't do this is that they want to sell these dragons to players that just started the game during the event, and if they include a late element like dark, they have to lock the dragon to level 25.
It's extra infuriating when they are limited weekend dragons that could be bred, but you can't because you're level-locked. New players definitely weren't happy with Pharaoh when that came out.
You can participate in events at level 11, and those players only have access to plant/fire/earth/cold, so that's what's for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

You guys are soo smart! THIS ⬆️⬆️ is exactly why i need the forum. I never would have figured this out!
If you're wondering about the new dragons inside elements, here's some possible evidence for Smitten's element from the DV wiki.
"I am unsure of this dragon's elements, but it has at least Lightning and Air, as when I tried to co-op breed it with a Moss Dragon I got one of the Olympus, with their fail time (35 hours).
At least its "inside" elements are unique." -Lily8763cp

Thank you, Mr. Bones, AKA: Encyclopedia Dragannica! 🤓 I knew there was a reason we have yet to take enforcement action against you. 😎

If only Backflip could find a way to allow level 11 players to clone and have Epic dragons with elements that are normally locked. Too bad it's not allowed...
Oh wait, they built it! I'm pretty sure they can change that rule if they like. As long as the player has a habitat that can hold the dragon (ie, an aura habitat from the event), it really shouldn't be an issue if they updated the rules and let newbie players have an Aura dragon that has part 'Dark' in it. They already let new players breed with dark dragons in co-op, and if they receive a dragon they can't use yet it goes to their social menu as 'locked' until they level more.
When your level is too low and you create a twin that shouldn't have, it just stays in locked in gifts till you you reach level to collect it. that could work too

I have seen this somewhere before but can't find it - how do you know what dragon you're sharing in the Rose Ring? Is it the one you have blue hearted for coop breeding?

If I understand what you are asking, you have to choose which dragon to compete. You also choose which dragon from your friend's list to compete with you. You choose the dragons that match the elements requested for that particular match.

Thanks cynmed and vonfirmath. Was trying to figure out which of my dragons my friends saw. The blue hearted one makes sense. So the one my friends see to breed with is the same as the one in the rose ring.

Okay so now i'm really confused. That's not really a surprise, but I thought I at least understood how blue hearting a dragon and choosing dragons for the rose ring worked. Clearly I had that quite wrong. So let me see if I have it straight now. You can't blue heart when you choose a dragon for a co-op challenge during an event? Instead whichever dragon you choose for the challenge is what is blue hearted for your friends to use. Is that true? If that's so I will have to take much more care in selecting which dragon I use.
Scorn using a friends level 20 Scorn and my Elder Earth (tried Elder Plant several times, switched to earth and got the timer first try) Cuddlewing (had twin pedestal, wanted regular), Neoteric and Daydream pedestals from specific breeding in the rift My three regular egg mystery buys were Twin Ragnarok, Twin Pyrite and Twin Valor (all three needed)

I think you're misinterpreting that post, you had it right in the first place.
- The dragon your friends see in the Rose Ring is the same blue-hearted dragon as they see for co-op breeding with you. - When you co-op breed, it automatically swaps your blue-hearted dragon to the one you're using to breed. - However, when you select a dragon for the Rose Ring it does NOT swap the blue-heart over. Your friends continue to see what you had previously blue-hearted and not what you just chose to compete.
That's what you thought, right? That's correct. I believe it's what ukwildcats4ever is now understanding it to be as well, but their post has a little ambiguity in the last sentence and I can see how it could cause some confusion. 🙂

Ah! Light dawns ova marblehead. I totally turned that whole thing upside down. How would ya like to live inside my head? Thanks again Arkynos. Too bad you can't follow me around all day interpreting stuff for me. Now that would be incredible. For me anyway LOL!

Yup. BUT take note, after you've put a dragon in the coop island, you can choose another to blue-heart. Just open that dragon's feeding function and tap the heart.
In a nutshell, the one on your island MAY be different from the one you blue-heart. If you've been fielding an Aura dragon, you may want to blue-heart another that has a high level and many elements. That will make it easier for your friends and net you more rose income.

Sorry for all the confusion. Let me see if I have this right - I am coop breeding my scorn with a friends scorn. I can then go to a habitat, choose say a tidal and make it my blue heart. The tidal will now show up in the rose ring. But once the tidal is blue hearted and a friend wants to breed with me in their coop, the tidal is what they see? Sorry for being so hard headed.
