The same thing happens to me last event, spent the whole time trying to breed Sleighbell and the others as well. Missed out buying Sleighbell before the timer expired. Then, out of a moment to frustration with all those long fails, I used my wish on it to have my Dragonarium breath fire again. Two days later, got the update for this event, so no more fire. I had to buy all the others, and peds, with berries,  except for the free one as a gift. 

And now  it seems that I’ve missed out on the new rift that was here and now gone! 😱

 I do believe it’s all luck. In past events, I had been able to get the prize Dragons with relative ease while others struggled. We just have to wait for the Wizzards on high to smile down on us once again. 🙏🏻

Maybe I need to to spruce up my garden and plant something that the koalas like to eat. 😉

It very much depends on luck. 
Some dragons just don`t seem to like your park, I know. 
Hey, I can`t even try for the new dragon right now since I am still stuck in 
20+ something hours in 2 of my breeding caves, serves me right for trying for 
a Barite and a Jet pedestal. How dare I?

Yesterday I was really lucky in the Rift though,
so if there is anything this game teaches you, it is to never give up
and to be as stubborn as hell, it will work in the end...

and also that whining really does help. 😝

I am never lucky but today I am! Third try in EBS, Ire and Fates, got Spritely!! Now if i could be as lucky in the Rift! Koala everyone!!

And in case anyone cares, I have all the dragons now (expect the new event dragons)
and expect SINGULARITY.
Have been trying to clone that guy for weeks,well months probably now.

I was having problems yesterday too. I thought it was just my internet connection, but I kept getting messages like "Couldn't load required file" or a message saying it couldn't log in. My park loads fine today. The one thing that remains a little off is that it takes a couple minutes to load my park when before it loaded quickly. So maybe it's just a minor error they're trying to fix.

Dreki Out of curiosity, do you know where you are in your daily reward rotation? What's the next 'big reward' that you're working towards on the right side of the panel? If you've kept up with them since they've launched then it'll be some time, but unless there's some new galaxies released in the meantime, the next time it rotates round to a galaxy egg then it's guaranteed to fill that singularity shaped hole.

I think we have all been there and probably several times. Just look at my post about Nesting on the POTY thread.

I honestly remember several limiteds that gave me sooooo much trouble when everyone else seemed to get them so easily and I ended up having to use event currency. I just want to say that when I do get a new dragon or limited early on that I post in hopes that the combo that I post or the elements that I discovered while breeding helps someone else get that dragon. It is seriously not to just brag or make someone who is having trouble breeding said dragon feel bad.

DITTO!!! Well said. This community is the best. All about supporting each other with info and hopefully helping others not make mistakes we have made 🤦🏻‍♀️. I’m not able to post as much as I used to but love to come here to bask in the rampant kindness💐🌞.  The wonderful humorists of this community often brighten my day with laughter😄. 
I have only one complaint 😐!  The extra laundry from laughter 😆 induced sputtering of coffee ☕️ all over my clothing 😏.

Absolutely! All the Valers should post their success when getting a new dragon, especially when time limited. These posts with combos and hours are so very helpful to everyone else’s success. Also posting what dragon not to use, those long fails ugh! 

It’s only fair too,  if while trying for that elusive dragon, we are allowed to whine and complain, then upon success we should get excited and brag a bit also!😊
