1. It seems like the rift habitats no longer give you guaranteed event currency when you collect (or did that go away earlier?).
2. The guy in green on the launch screen has an egg under his arm that doesn't match any of the three event dragon eggs we can see in the market. If the first limited dragon egg doesn't look like that, we'll know there are at least two.
It is the Cumberpatch dragon. I just tried the breeding cave and got it first try, it must be my luck day!
Cumberpatch is the one on his shoulder, but he's got another under the other arm. Congrats on the dragon, though!
(Is it just me, or does anyone else think they created the cumbermelon treat just so they could make a Cumberpatch dragon...? )

I am thinking that the Burcadian Breeding Cave is the BFS response to the fact that instead of settling for 1000 DragonCash per 1 event currency, we were buying pedestals and selling them for much more. They’ll try anything to part us from our event currency! I tried two breeds today: 500 eggs = bumpkus! Not falling for that again, especially since I am having zero luck breeding anything anywhere. I think I’ll just save my eggs and buy the new dragons. Your mileage may vary.

Yep, I'm sad at the cynicism produced by these changes, I soooo like the Pollyanna view of life (haha silly ole me)
and I had an interesting thought; if a significant proportion of us DONT USE the new breeding (surgical removal of event currency) cave; I wonder if that may cause the demise of future similar BFS exploit attempts?
Im joining the 'what new cave can't see any new cave' team (after two trials this am and zilch useful result); and may use any left over eggs at the end of the event, unless we find another pedestal rort 😈😈😈😈😈
go go the resistance 👿👿😈😈😂😂 and koala to all however you choose to play
edit:: haven't found any eggs in "unusual places" yet; anyone???

I thought I'd be able to pick up the Relic of the Ancients during the Egg Hunt, but I don't see it.
It doesn't appear to be available as a prize this time. It was available during Roar of the Rift though, so maybe it's joined its sibling as a Summer Event prize?
I suppose it could turn up as a limited prize later in the event? It'd be odd, but stranger things have happened... though I think only about three, ever.

Three of my parks got the usual 50 eggs, but one got a twin Sprout. It seems to be a mystery egg, but it basically hatches immediately and goes directly to the results screen rather than putting the unhatched egg in your gifts.

Welp, that's one way to get me egg hunting each day. I normally skip the treasure hunts in events because I'm really bad at it and it makes my eyes hurt a bit, but potential free mystery eggs are too good to ignore.

I received a Twin Singularity (which I didn’t have yet) for my gold egg.

I give gems randomly to those who seem to need them because I'm not organized enough to keep a list, but I'm always looking for more Party Hat friends!

Oh yes! You can count on me! I’m joining the resistance! Have to, it’s a matter of survival! For I am a gambler and given the chance I’ll squander all my eggs on empty promises in that breeding cave. Two breeds and nothing. 500 eggs! That’s it, no more for me! Must stay strong and resist temptation! Long live the Resistance! At least until the end of the event when I have extra eggs 😉

I just want to make sure I didn't miss something...they added rift-traits to the Hidden dragons (e.g., Pond), but all require a Monolith in the breeding pair (according to the breeding hint). So at this point, it's not possible to breed the rift-traited Hidden dragons.
It appears kimiko answered your question, skeeter622. Once again (the first instance being shield, dracabra, and gargoyle from the limited rifts), BFS has forgotten or overlooked the fact that monolith dragons are required in the breeding combos for Hidden dragons... -So at this time, the only way to get a rift Hidden dragon is via the epic mystery eggs in the rift (purple ones). --but don't worry, I've emailed my contact at BFS and will let y'all know what they say (hopefully it'll be good news like, "the breeding combos for the Hidden dragons in the rift have changed" 🤞, and not like, "monoliths will get rift traits" 😰).
I can confirm Hiddens are obtainable via mystery eggs b/c I bought a couple and got a cold traited twin rift Stoneshell! I also bred my rift storm and plant rift together and got a rift Celtic dragon, and then after that I bred the rift Celtic and Stoneshell dragons together and got a second rift (non-twin) Stoneshell. Extra koala 🐨 to all for getting the rift versions of Rainbow, Double Rainbow, Celtic by breeding, and the Hiddens (and rainbows) via mystery eggs.
Also, since Ovalith is showing as available in the market, and apparently it too can have rift traits, I'm going to be breeding my rift panlong and rift bloom together in hopes that I'll get a Rift Ovalith. A "Rifovalith"? Any suggestions on its new name? Twovalith was so fitting... but also an incredible pain to try to breed for, and of course I got my first Twovalith from one of my daily log in dragons (the ones that count towards your wish), then like 3-4 more from the gem mystery eggs in the rift, one of which I had gotten TWO DAYS BEFORE this event... if only I had waited to buy it and then got a rift version (or at least a chance at it). But now I can still try, both methods. We will see which one gets it faster! Any one wanna take bets on which method will net me a rift Ovalith? Breeding or mystery eggs? Lol.

Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890
Now that we've got our first rifted gemstone and a facelift to the gemstone island, I wonder if we might eventually be able to level our gemstone dragons up to level 20?

I was thinking Riftalith or Riftolith might be too confusing with the potentially upcoming (🤞Let's hope not for months and months) introduction of rift monolith dragons... But I like Ovarift!! That's what I'm gonna call it at least. Thanks all!
