I do it at the beginning of EVERY event, and EVERY time I waste gems on speed ups and looooong fails I am such a slow learner lol
Add three Cyclops to that but I finally bred a Starlight in the Co-Op with someone elses Starlight and my LEVEL 4 Metal. Unbelievable! Trying for Glimmerwing now with viviane ’s Glimmerwing and my low level Promethium.

Just confirming ....this 5th galaxy island if purchased during event does NOT count toward our habitat limits? So another reason to get now? I am really laboring over this decision, just cannot make up my mind what to spend this precious star dust on... want those meridiem & celestial habitats and also just remembered about the possibility of them springing a new surprise dragon (that is limited for purchase to 24 hours or such) that they have done in previous events....what do you wise valers think about that? What to do...what to do 🤔....
I actually think none of the galaxy islands/habitats count towards the habitat limit. So I expect this one to follow the same rules.
I still haven't decided on buying it. I had really hoped to finally get the weather station during this event, but in the end real estate and dragons to fill said real estate feel like a better investment. What to do, what to do.. I'm leaning towards buying the galaxy island now and hoping one of the new dragons will show up somewhere on co-op so I might have a shot at breeding one of these beautiful creatures. But then again, there's no guarantee that will actually happen...
BFS should release an Eternal Doubt dragon soon.. Have it constantly changing looks and fly around looking pensive... I could try and have a chat with it on difficult decision days like these.. Maybe do a little flip-coin-scorching-the-side-not-to-choose-action... Repeating threefold obviously...

Well, the dye is cast for me now...i went ahead and bought the galaxy habitat (bit of a bummer when you have to immediately add $50,000, $500,000, $5,000,000,000 & then 25 gems to it to make it worthwhile)
This is a major change for me...i will spend the rest of my precious stardust on the meridiem & celestial habitats & hope for the possibility of an event dragon from the co-op cave (which i have never had much luck at) ... Then will try for these new galaxy dragons the few times the DV calendar re-releases them ... Gotta say this is not very exciting...buying an event dragon w/your stash is much more fun ... Hope i am not very sorry in hindsight when/if it becomes very difficult to breed these galaxy dragons I remember i went thru 2 BEBs before i got my first apocalypse and my equinox dragons were very tough too... Just remembered my wishes, could use those but i find them verrrry hard to part with ...lol!

It's hard as mentioned before by other people due to lack of in-Game Friending - I also do not have very many DV FB friends so hard to find these rare dragons to clone with, especially in my baby park. ☹️

There are many more ways in game to get dragons than habitats (mystery eggs, log in rewards, etc.)
I have to see if I'll be able to get both of the new regular habitats (Celestial and Meridiem) and the galaxy. They are my priority over galaxy habitats.
Oh esp since it seems you can put Galaxy dragons in both habitats! (is this new?)
ETA: I wonder if part of the reason behind the different event is that having TWO different currencies "Flying" from habitats would cause even more problems for devices? If so, esp if the "Legendary cheerios" is going to be part of the activation of the Legendary as well, we may well not get event currency from tapping habitats in the future either.

Hoping for at least 3 more double days so that I can get the Celestial and Meridiem habitats and one new Galaxy dragon. The new Legendary dragon will take forever to obtain so my Dragonarium won't be breathing fire anytime soon anyway.

I was wondering the same thing about having DC or ether, as well as cheerios and another currency flying about. I don't care that much about getting event currency from tapping habitats but I do miss all the other things that are usually available to do and play in an event. Maybe this was just a mini event and things will go back to normal next major one.
I hope every other day continues to be a doubles day. That's the only way I will be able to get both galaxy habitats and the celestial and meridiem as well. I agree that dragons are easier to get and I think the habitats are the better choice. This has been a difficult event and necessitated making the hard choices. I hope this isn't a trend. I know BFS has to make money and they should, but there are quite a lot of events and I know I don't have the kind of disposable income where I can pony up that much money every event in order to get most of what is being offered.
But if that is what BFS needs to do to keep this game afloat then so be it. I love to play Dragonvale and I appreciate that everything is available over time without having to spend money. You just have to wait. There are many games where this is not the case. If you don't spend a goodly amount of money consistently you find much of those kinds of games out of your reach. That's not the case with Dragonvale so I am grateful for that.

That`s a pretty expensive upgrade cost you have got going there. But hey, this wouldn`t even surprise me with the costs constantly going up in Dragonvale. I suspect they would want to add even a few more zeros to that to help pay for their poop game Cyn was talking about earlier.

This was really cute, made me laugh.
Just to be clear, it's 50k, 500k, and 5 million to upgrade with coins, not 5 billion for the last. It doesn't dent any accounts with 1 billion+ gold saved.
So, erm, I bought the 6th Galaxy habitat. It's position is not directly above the 5th where I thought it would be, but up-and-left of it. Looks a bit odd.
This I think good as confirms that later there'll be a 7th Galaxy habitat, to go above the 5th and complete the overlapping double-diamond shape.

That's actually a second problem. I already shut down, rebooted - nada. And the email I had registered with Game Center had to be taken off the iPad - the Apache spam filter it uses doesn't work on iOS. I keep getting Russian spam - more spam than the iPad can manage (an old account probably harvested trillions of times by spammers).

Hi freitag, you don't have to email Support using the email account that's registered to Game Center. You can email support@backflipstudios from your preferred email account and they'll reply to that account. Be sure to give them your Game Center ID in addition to describing your issue. My game hung up on my iPhone 6, so I logged out of Game Center, deleted the app, turned off the device, left it off for a few minutes, turned it back on, re-downloaded the app, logged back into GC and then opened DragonVale. It's been fine since then, but I think that hasn't worked for some people.

Rarely, but recently they gave us a third chrysalis habitat, which can be upgraded to hold up to 7 dragons so we can now display a total of 21 chrysalis dragons. However, there are only 7 chrysalis dragons so even with dupes we can't fill all three habitats up.
Also worth noting that the celestial and meridiem habitats now support galaxy dragons so you should have no problem filling them up.
Midnight dragon shows green hourglass, not sure when that happened. Anyone know if starfall background is considered night?
I think it would be, even for Midnight. I have only bred Moon dragons in the rift since switching to Starfall. Normally, the rift is weird for time - I've gotten a Sun dragon at 10:30pm in the rift. But since Starfall, it's only Moon dragons, no matter what time I'm breeding in the rift.
I would guess that Starfall is a nighttime theme, but I haven't quite figured out a way to know for sure (aside from maybe asking BFS). Lycan is fluffy in the Nightfall, Spectral and Spooky themes Dawnbringer is purple for Starfall, Nightfall, and Spooky themes Nightbloom is fluffy for Starfall, Nightfall, Spectral, and Spooky themes.
So it seems like those four (Starfall, Nightfall, Spectral, and Spooky) are likely to be nighttime themes.
