Did this just happen today? Honuhonu and humuhumu, the two limiteds from when the first tier ended, are back in the market for three days (and presumably breedable again).

Although I know I’ve heard here on the forum that many DV players aren’t getting all the Dragons during the Event, it seems like in recent events, in the last few days of the event, I’ve somehow been able to get the needed Dragons, either by lucky breeding or getting enough Event Ca$h via bonuses like today’s. I’m beginning to think it might be BFS strategy. 🤔

Last day for the limiteds. I tried breeding through 20k again, got nothing. Ending this event with 0 dragons bred, but millions of Etherium and 1200+ gems used. I'll end up missing half the dragons from the event, and this will be the first event I've missed even one. I'm not happy with Backflip and their terrible game decisions this year.
What did everyone get from their epic eggs of mystery? I got a double leap year
Have 3 parks and received a Twin Cumulous, Twin Prism, & Twin Sumi. I did not have the twin version in each of the respective parks, and was glad to get them.

This event for me equals: 0 dragons bred, 0 dragons cloned, 0 dragon twins and 0 pedestals from breeding like + like using the coop cave using the couple of dragons I bought with currency and family members dragons with about 25-50 times tried each. 👎 I bred up until 5,000 to 10,000 on all days limiteds were available in the rift. Nada. All caves going for event dragons. Nada. I could make a Sunscorch and Party Island easily though. 🙄 My epic egg was an Aurora rift and my regular egg was a Lightning rift. 😒 I have multiples of both.
I ended up being able to buy 2 habitats, 3 of the cheaper dragons and can probably get 1-2 pedestals. I also did get 1 new dragon from a visitor which was Eve rift. 😊

The unexpected Zaffer thing is from a now nearly year old bug, where if you have a Rare (Blue) dragon's elements included in the parent dragons' contributed elements there's a low-ish chance of it appearing as a result in the Rift even if the Rare dragon has a locked combo and therefore shouldn't be be able to be bred with those parents.
It's most noticeable with Zaffer because of Zaffer's frankly absurd standard combo and the high frequency of having Cold and Lightning together when breeding, but it applies to all rares at least. I bred a Rosebud that way earlier in the year; the reports of breeding the Honu/Humu dragons outside of their locked combos would be down to the same issue.
I say all Rares: I've never seen an Epic bred off-combo like this, but that doesn't necessarily mean it can't be done. If people have evidence of it happening with locked combo epics I'd love to know what you got and which combo you used.
Finally, I should note that due to potential for it to be patched at any point, as well as fairly low trigger rates anyway, this should not be relied on for targeted breeding. It's more of a fun bonus when it does happen.
I have been reading here for a long while (been playing over a year and am max level with only 10 dragons left to get) and just had to respond to this with a baffling/frustrating result I have been getting lately...I have been breeding hypnotic and mirage in the rift trying for a rifty daydream...and I have gotten multiple instances of both rifty and regular Dream instead...which shouldn't be a possible result of that combo. I believe that fits your locked combo epic scenario. Makes me wonder what will get me a rifty daydream!!
what has anyone used in the coop to clone a honuhonu dragon? I have a wonderful neighbor with one in the coop. I have tried using elder water or elder plant... Since honuhonu showed sunscorch and tidal when it appeared breadable in sandbox. However, the honuhonu should have all of the needed elements... but after 1k gems, still do not have a honuhonu.

You can get Dream any time you have a combination of four elements, two of which are light and dark. Remember: the rift also counts as an element. So even though your combo appears to have 3 elements (light, dark, air), trying in the rift makes it four elements. Keep trying and koala!

Been trying with Humuhumu, to no avail. Theoretically Sandbox shows the combo to have fewer fails and a certain timer (i.e., if you get the timer, that's it). Still no koala. If you find another possibility, do tell!

Have a resounding headache from this particular Beach Party...perhaps a hangover? Or perhaps a hangover is what I should try to breed Adding to the sad tallies of so many others; nil bred of any of the event dragons, only a few from purchases Never mind, the throbbing behind the eyes will be over soon... perhaps BFS will give us a whole day between events, to recuperate?!😈 May last minute herds and hairy hordes of 🐨🐨🐨🐨 visit all our parks, hopefully (hey what’s a little alliteration between Valers 😏)
Also cannot find the palm tree that was in the first limited tier of prizes; not listed in decos, and I’ve lost mine somewhere and can’t find it or search using the decos list 😂
Finally got around to checking on this. You are absolutely correct, Palm Tree has disappeared from the Dragonarium and my park. I remembered exactly where I placed mine as I sold off a Blue Cube to tuck the Palm Tree just behind one of my Water Habitats. Just a blank square now. No Palm Tree, no Blue Cube, no wonder I have not been able to find the Flag Bearers... they were probably standing in that spot which I assumed was occupied.
I got a rift Lace from a visitor and that was cool, but I’m pretty disappointed not to have gotten any rift versions of event dragons in my main park. Thought Tidal was breedable based on what the Dragonarium said, but apparently not in my rift. I got a rift Dusk in my alt game but no koala joy for my main rift. Hoping for better luck in the next event!
