So I seem to be fairly adept at getting chests in the Dragon Drop occasionally but I am utterly Hopeless at the wheel spin thingy. How am I supposed to get all those night time thingamajiggies other than 1 night chest a day with candies!!!? Is there a secret handshake for the wheel?

Can I breed a Chromacorn in the coop? Using my Chromacorn and someone else’s? Or since it is a Rift dragon it really really can only be bred in the Rift?

I'm wondering if some colours of flame etc are going to turn out to be much rarer than others. I have four porcelain, three flames and four tendrils and i'm noticing a lot of white, yellow, blue, teal going on, plus one red. I also got five duplicates. Are others getting the same colours, or are we covering the full range of ten between us?

From the FAQ from BFS, looks like Day 15 gives a Day chest and Day 20 gives a Night chest... just 28 other decos to collect to get the set (ignoring duplicates).

Also from the FAQ:
Can the Wrath, Porcelain, and Corrupticorn Dragons be bred?

These dragons can only be bred if both parent dragons are Wrath, Porcelain, or Corrupticorn. For example, Wrath + Wrath has a chance of producing another Wrath Dragon, but Wrath + another dragon does not. Additionally, the Corrupticorn Dragon can only be bred in the Rift Breeding Cave, so the only way to breed one at this time would be by breeding two Corrupticorn Dragons in your own Rift Breeding Cave.

This event has been a disaster in my park so far. The screen is locked on the event island, won’t let me move to any other part of my park, so I can’t do anything except read the forum & try to understand all the ins & outs of this event, while not being able to actually play. 😥. I’ve tried deleting & reinstalling, but that hasn’t helped. Sent an email to BFS Support this morning but haven’t even gotten an automated reply from them. Very sad right now.

Heh heh heh 🧛🏽‍♀️🧛🏽‍♀️🧛🏽‍♀️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♂️🧟‍♂️ Use all your gems to buy chests and have minimal chance of scoring on each chest (as mentioned by a few folk earlier in this thread) 🐨🐨🐨
like you I’m ok on the drop, and my rorting of the wheel tricks didn’t work often in the last event, and seems the same in this event, since they intro the auto spin button... but still working on adjusting them...
i paid for one extra chest in ddrop, and got the (for me) toughest drop arrangement, so missed the chest by a fraction... then paid candies for a chest and same...doubt I’ll waste again... there’s BeB and maybe? Coop cloning in the future...

Ok so i spent some gems to keep playing the dragon drop and eventually got all 10 color porcelain. I then found my Bone dragon, clicked on him and there was an “evolve” button. After hitting the evolve button, i then had to spend 1000 candies to congure up my new dragon. I used my Rifted Bone and now he is a cool plant rifted Porcelain Dragon.

Aw that’s so tough! I thought it was hinky that they launched an event so close to a weekend (Sat here in NZ); begs for issues.

i can’t think of anything other than the usuals to suggest; force close being the next most useful to delete and reinstall (you did leave it a while before reinstalling, and deleted the background app as well from the cache? If you’re on an apple and on ios11series, glitches are legend; I find that clearing it all, then opening something completely different and performing some actions, closing out of that and removing it from cache then reloading what my iPad froze on, works, and if not, then a forced close -now several times a day but am NOT upgrading to iOS 12quite yet)
What do you play on? That might help other tech forumers suggest some tips...

and thanks for the tip jenny , it worked for me too, for not very many gems (the price does not go up folks) and buying only in the ddrop game, I’ve now got all 10 colours (can’t remember if there are a different 10or more than 10, but seem to recall reading there are only 10 for all day dragon evolutions) so when I’ve saved enough candies I’ll evolve my first too 😃

also folks, you get a few nighttime flame colours during the day chests
so, do not abandon hope, it seems that the 5 gem extensions in the game you are better in, is a better option than buying extra chests from the prize market... from my experience anyway

This looks to me like the worst money-grab event in the history of Dragonvale.
Even worse than the bingo-cards one.
So now they are trying to force us to buy their overpriced gems 
only to waste them in the stupid mini games for probably no reward at all.
Think I haven’t won a chest in those things for probably a year. 
I sort of suck in Dragon drop most of the time and Spin the wheel doesn’t feel the same anymore.
So even though I have 2 Chromacorn dragons, 
it sure doesn’t look like I will be getting a Corrupticorn.
This is a new low, even for them. 

Yet, once again, they stole our ad gems.
Seriously, who is watching ads for candy when it is really easy
to get to 1000 even for low-level parks. 
Just another way to rob us. 
Looks like I won’t be bothering with many ads for this event, just like the last events. 
Just watching the ones that pay out anything useful.

This might just very well be my last event.
This game is just starting to feel like a waste of time 
when I could actually be having fun doing something else. 
Starting to feel like a chore instead of fun,
especially with all those ridiculous events.

So other than trying for a second Chromacorn, Bone or Love so I can evolve existing dragons, I have nothing to breed? It’s an event that’s all about our skill level with the games? And since I’m kind of lousy at dragon drop and my wheel chances are even worse, this event, so far, feels worse than the last one. Backflip ran a great game for a long time, concerned, I felt, that players enjoy their game. The current management runs the game like they don’t give a darn about the players’ experience. I’m so disappointed.

BFS needs to change the loading bar quote to: It is possible to breed BUY every dragon with the right combinations RESOURCE and enough patience MONEY.

I am ignoring the gem depletion tactic and am focusing on getting the spooky rifts plus Omen rift that I need. I picked up a Spirit (cold) yesterday and will be going for the other two I am missing for the remainder of the event. Koala all. 🐨

No way am I converting the only Chromacorn that I just got as a daily log in even if I manage to get the right decorations. 😡

At the very least I will get a Chromacorn pedestal for 1000 event currency. 😜

Thanks, Kiwichris. I upgraded to ios12 a couple of weeks ago, haven’t had any issues until this DV event. Even with ios11, no problems. I guess it’s my turn?
I did try deleting & reinstalling the app, but will try everything you suggested in case I missed something. Yes, very inconsiderate of BFS to start an event on a Friday. Hard to think of all the event currency I am missing.

this is a perfect summary and I was coming on here so I could say the same. Thanks!

Potentially unpopular opinion- I rather like this event, and the idea of evolving dragons. It’s very different than what we’ve had in the past.
Doesn’t hurt that I’m doing pretty decently so far - I have 9/10 of the porcelain pieces, 5/10 of the corrupticorn pieces, and 4/10 of the wrath pieces (this last one is what I’m struggling/frustrated with. The Spin the Wheel game is all random and very hard to get the chest compared to Dragon Drop. I bought one Night Chest to get a piece, but it only provides 1, not 3 like the chests in the mini games. So Wrath will be the hardest one for me to get!).

And I have to say, I absolutely love the fact the whatever type of dragon we evolve is the version of the newer dragon that we get - so if you evolve a twin bone, you get a twin porcelain! Of course you should only evolve what you have spares of - don’t evolve your only twin! But I’m really glad that I don’t have to grind to breed twins of porcelain and wrath. And we can’t have twins of corrupticorn - it’s only breedable in the rift. So it feels a little more relaxed than other events.
Anyways, koala in collecting the pieces!

I used a wish for my Chromacorn. With that dragon being impossible to breed (for me) I feel it’s wrong for BFS to require us to have two of them. The odds are ridiculous to breed one!

How in the heck is everyone getting so many pieces? Did you buy Candy to purchase Chests? I still stink at the games and end up with goose eggs 90% of the time. Am I missing something?
