This game is just starting to feel like a waste of time 
when I could actually be having fun doing something else.

Potentially unpopular opinion- I rather like this event, and the idea of evolving dragons. It’s very different than what we’ve had in the past. Doesn’t hurt that I’m doing pretty decently so far - I have 9/10 of the porcelain pieces, 5/10 of the corrupticorn pieces, and 4/10 of the wrath pieces (this last one is what I’m struggling/frustrated with. The Spin the Wheel game is all random and very hard to get the chest compared to Dragon Drop. I bought one Night Chest to get a piece, but it only provides 1, not 3 like the chests in the mini games. So Wrath will be the hardest one for me to get!).

And I have to say, I absolutely love the fact the whatever type of dragon we evolve is the version of the newer dragon that we get - so if you evolve a twin bone, you get a twin porcelain! Of course you should only evolve what you have spares of - don’t evolve your only twin! But I’m really glad that I don’t have to grind to breed twins of porcelain and wrath. And we can’t have twins of corrupticorn - it’s only breedable in the rift. So it feels a little more relaxed than other events.
Anyways, Koala in collecting the pieces!

Never mind, worked it out.
The wee coral type decorations are for Porcelain
I guess the angular shapes (like on loading screen) are for Corrupticorn edit; ok stylised flames
And I haven’t yet scored a tendril but imagine it’s self explanatory:
So collect 10 different colours of three types of things

The dragon icon for evolution goes ‘live’ when you have them all for that dragon (tap on the dragon and the icon is below)

Dark Rift + Air Rift produced a non rift Chimneypuff in a family game. I tried the same combo, but my game is broken (or feels like it). 😫

there ten pieces for each dragon (porcelain, wrath, corrupticorn) - and they are the following colors: red, orange, yellow, green, teal, blue, purple, pink, white, and black. So you’ll need different types of pieces for each dragon - corrupticorn is flames, porcelain is potted plants, and wrath is little thorny sculpture thingies. I can post photos of each.

P.s. my tag is still steelbluefire, I might just change my name back to make it easier.

I swear that they have code in this game that says if you have Kaios available and waiting to use, you will not breed a long hour dragon. My Kairos has been waiting for a couple of days now just in case any of the new dragons were breedable. Spent a bunch of Gems speeding up Level 20/Elder dragon breeds trying for Chimneypuff. Low level fail after low level fail. The minute I went ahead and used Kairos, 💥 (that is BAM), I get a 23 hour Chimneypuff in the Co-Op! (THANK YOU, figment-jii, for sharing. Sorry no twin but will keep trying  ) I also notice that it makes no difference in my Rift what level the dragons are. In my Rift I am more likely to breed something with level 16s than with level 20s. There should be a noticable increase in breeding odds with higher level dragons and there isn’t.

Sharing my Chimneypuff in the hopes that other players can breed one and save a few Candy. 

I do understand that there are three types of collectable decos used to change your Love, Bone, and Chromacorn but what I need to know is are which are the ones you can win playing Games and which have to be bought one at a time through Chest purchases? I will never get 10 of the night ones since they tweaked the wheel. Spent 25 more Gems to play Dragon Drop and ended up with ZERO pieces. I need to find a release before I delete this game in utter frustration.

I've still got rain and if I have a weather station it's news to me.  (Last year's flagship of a phone though, so it's mostly just yawning at the visual effects, and the candy animation's the only mildly annoying visual for me because ack clutter can't see...)

I really enjoy the POTM-posts/vote, so it feels very cool to get a POTM nomination.

This ánd a first time occurence of "breeding for a limited event dragon and getting it at the first try" (Chimneypuff with Rift Air and Rift Dark in Rift Breeding cave; hang in there amos, koalas are on their way).... I'm really going to try not to let this transforming stuff (and letting go of pretty Chromacorns) get to me, because so far, October has been great!

Well here’s my suspicious mind (thanks Big E); given that ddrop is a honeable skill, and they’ve tweaked the wheel to make efforts at standardising your finger release v difficult to standardise now, and given that I don’t trust ‘em to be generous w the auto spin button: I reckon there might be a worthwhile chance of scoring night pieces if we buy (candy) a chest at night: will test this on my next change; meantime keep trying to standardise the wheel release ...

Frustration levels are running high. I just need a purple ornament to finish the bone evolution, spent 100+ gems trying to get more attempts and I just watch the ball bounce away from the chest at the last minute time and time again. Why do they think this is fun? I was so low on gems after their last terrible events, speeding up breeding attempts and getting absolutely nothing the entire time. It's like they want us to leave!

Edit: Another 50 gems and I got the purple ornament, and the Porcelain dragon. It looks like you can make as many more as you want for 1000 candy (and a bone dragon). I thought I was done with the day time chests, but it appears that 5 colors for Flames only show in the day, and 5 at night. During all that time I got 3 flames, still missing 2 daylight flames. Ug!

Unfortunately it does not seem to be a repeatable experience...

Ornaments are all available from the day chests, and Tendrils from the night chests, but the Flames are split:
Red, Yellow, Teal, Purple, and White Flames are only available in the night chests.
Orange, Green, Blue, Pink, and Black Flames are only available in the day chests.

If you're looking for a nighttime flame in using the dragon drop or buying a daytime chest, you won't find it. Save your candy and gems!

I think I have worked out a good strategy for these new dragons.
1. Spend no gems or money and see what I can get from the event.
2. Try to breed them during Bring em back.
3. If they are not made reasonably breedable during beb, consider quitting the game.

Feel free to use this strategy if you think it will work for you too. I find it takes the stress out of it, especially as I am bad at dragon drop.

Got a cold-trained Chimneypuff with Chromacorn and Alpenglow while trying for a second Chromacorn in my son’s game. Rift at cold, as you’d expect. Hadn’t even realized we have a limited dragon so that was quite a surprise

Maybe they will only be available during certain kinds of events, events like this where you need to evolve dragons. 

I'm trying to see a way this evolve thing would work during BeB and I can't envision it. 

What do you (any you at all) think?
