The Om of Noms runs through December 2nd, 2018, and concludes on December 3rd at 11am Mountain Time. The Copious Cornucopia will remain open for an additional day so you can turn in any leftover Spice. The Copious Cornucopia will close at 11am Mountain Time on December 4th and event prizes will no longer be available after this time.

PLANTING PATTERN move your gardens to be all together touching each other in a block, on one island then plant the key crops in this pattern abab baba abab that way the crops alternate and touch each other, et voila!
the only way atm to speed up ripening that may work is Kairos... not sure, not tested 🐨

HIDDEN TREAT BASKETS Each day you'll have hidden Treat Baskets to find in your park, and finding them will award you with Dragon Treats and Spice. There will be 5 Treat Baskets every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 15 baskets per day.
If you can find Gardenia she might have some rewards for you too! You will know there are still more Treat Baskets to find when you see a an orange border on your visitors icon.
My iPhone didn't update, so when I updated this morning it was day 2 of the pre-event. I will wait to see how the event unfolds to see if I should waste gems catching up, although usually there are a few spare days to catch up at the end.

Same thing happened to me w/my iPad. When I started the game I was behind a day and they wanted a Gem to catch up. I don’t think I’ve missed a day playing this game in years.
Looking at the features of this event...If Evolving is gonna be the ‘way of the future’ I’m not gonna be real happy...I got the Evolving decorations for the last Event by using Up Gems in Dragon Drop. I’m low on Gems now and won’t be able to do that this time.
I think HAS really needs to have a big 4th quarter. They didn’t meet expectations in the last one...their overall revenues were down as were their revenue from their Gaming division. They’re coming after our Gems.
I think there was a glitch in the App Store, as both DragonVale and another game both said the update was dated 2 days previously, yet I had updated another game the day before and there definitely wasn’t a DV update then. Same for my friend in the States. We both had to pay the gem to open the second box for 50 spice. Not a good start and hopefully not a sign of things to come.
Any predictions on when islands will be half price again? I have been diligently trying to save up for next time since I foolishly bought one full price the week before the last sale and had no cash at all. But I also am in need of cheap treats, feeding those rift dragons is like throwin food into bottomless pits...

You realise you can level dragons up with etherium as well as food? 17,500 purple stuff is much easier to get than nearly 8 million treats to go from level 16 to 17 - or it is for me at least,

I've not found a reason to level them to 17 yet, if I check in every 3 hours then all of my rift habitats are maxed out at 200. So I only level a dragon higher there if I need it for a rare special event breeding.
Thank you, I had not realized it is possible to "feed" them etherium. I still need e to clear clouds and buy islands, but it does seem more manageable than feeding treats. I also don't feed them all to high levels, but usually to 11.
Yes, I usually feed them up to 12 and then leave it, unless I need to breed with them, when I usually feed them up to 16. The dragon I looked at to see how much it would cost to get to the next level just happened to be level 16. And I'm slowly moving them up by using Bahamut and Tiamat - I confidently expect to be finished by around March 2139,

Miy ‘out’ rifties are all at 14 now, which gives me full habs to collect E from every 2 hours...(thinks, I should really start rotating them out of the rift dungeon, sorry sleeping ledges, and upgrading all of them in turn) I almost solely use the Bathmat dragons to level up Rifties.
