Not sure what I will do about the level 20 thing, I don't have, nor do I want to spend 1775 or whatever the number is of gems to get the other relic needed. I'm limited to level 15 at the moment. I could spend one of my 2 wishes, but I just used one on my chromcorn Dragon. Blah....
I was hoping I could level up a rift Sprout to Level 20, but no luck. It stops at level 10 because I don’t have any of the relics nor enough gems to buy either.
Reddit has some good info re this event and someone made a guide....This forum obviously is the bomb but it prob wouldn’t hurt to copy and paste some info? Unless one has A LOT of free time, it’s hard to reach the cap. We need TWO seed dragons to evolve? This is silly. As someone who has played since the beginning, I’m going to start collecting dragons that I like. I’m not going to fall into the greedy hands of BFS. We can all laugh about this together. If there are any newbies that need a certain dragon up in the coop, feel free to holler. If there are any other ways to help the newbies, I’m happy to do so bc this event really puts them at a disadvantage.
Btw I got a twin double rainbow (trailed) from a NORMAL PURPLE mystery egg in the rift. Don’t bother wasting E on the epic eggs.

This event is really picking on the newer players (like myself). You have to get a level 20 leaf dragon to get a curleyleaf right? Not fair ☹️ It hasn’t even been a full day and this event is starting to feel worse than dragon boat and candy bash V combined. Don’t forget about the prices of the treats, my word. If it wasn’t for the off to the races micro event, I’d probably be broke
Remember everything (to date anyway) comes back during BeB and the original Event as it comes round again, which I guess will remain the pattern, because new players join all the time. So even if your resources or your energy/sense of being roughly handled by BFS/HAS means you can’t be dragooned (see that😈) into trying for everything in events the way things are run atm, you can decide again in the future. Me, I’ll reconsider Ghostlies at BeB, atm will NOT be levelling Rifties up above about 14/15 (simple waste of E, I’m not going to log in every half hour!), and am still undecided this Event whether to just go for any limited dragons and collect the MEANS for transforming the new dragons or actually collect fewer means and transform one or two, depending on what I like the look of. Have made the mini goal of unlocking all foods... and managed to max on day one, and contribute some spice to the community pool... very much enjoying treating Events as smorgasbords (hey there oldsmol , how you doin?) and just selecting what I like 😁 🐨to everyone, working out how to engage with this new type of Event 🐨🐨🐨🐨🌻
edit; hmm, thinking about the Relics issues for newer players or those who for whatever reason chose not to buy them during their event release, seems to indicate at least collecting the MEANS or mechanisms for newer/evolving dragons might be wise: the dragons may be available at other times than BeB and return of event, but possibly not the means or mechanisms... so I may focus on all those little ‘decorations’, more like mini-buildings really, given their effect on dragons...

I sure do understand...I’m close to the same decision myself. DV has become very complicated. I used to be able to keep track of every thing going on in my head, not now. Relaxing? Not anymore. I’m really just trying to hang on for my friends, trying to keep myself from getting worked up.
OK, I've got my level 20 Sprout dragon, the Omega Squash Barrel, and realized I need 6 TREAT FARMS of Omega Squash ready to harvest, not 6 Omega Squashes. Took that hint a bit too literally, LOL! Anyway, I STILL need 1000 spice to evolve the Sprout! Am guessing will need larger amount for the others, esp the last 2. Just FYI. Hope we get doubles soon.

Has anyone else had the issue of watching Tolzar's videos but not actually receiving the spice for it? It lets me watch all three and claims that I'm getting 50 each, but my total doesn't budge. :/

Ugh - okay, so the video spice goes towards your overall total but not your daily total. Which I suppose is arguably good since it's over and above the cap, but I hate watching these things and wasn't planning on doing it in my largest park since it can hit the cap without it. ::grumble::

Incidentally, Ma Goody's Greenhouse gives 25 spice when you collect, so if you get a second one early in the event (whether you purchase with spice or with gems), that's an extra 25 spice per day to help in reaching the cap.

Grow them in alternating touching rows aquathedragon , along and downward (if your treat farms are scattered, you’ll need to bunch them up together) and sew the seeds by hand, ie don’t pick regrow all or grow all so aba bab aba bab

Any guesses what they're going to throw at us for a limited this weekend? I'm guessing something to do with evolving the berry dragon - why else miss it out and ask us to have two extra seeds to evolve?
For me, it's going to be getting the stuff to buy the decorations that's going to hold me back most - over 10,000 for all four and then the 1000 to evolve each one. Assuming they don't make it more expensive to evolve the last two. I have enough to buy a kabbage thingy now, but I know if I buy it I will find myself facing a limited requirement that I don't have the currency for. So I'll wait - but in this event it's not going to be possible to wait till right at the end and then buy what I want, which is my usual strategy. Hmm.
HIDDEN TREAT BASKETS Each day you'll have hidden Treat Baskets to find in your park, and finding them will award you with Dragon Treats and Spice. There will be 5 Treat Baskets every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 15 baskets per day.
If you can find Gardenia she might have some rewards for you too! You will know there are still more Treat Baskets to find when you see a an orange border on your visitors icon.

Managed to unlock Meta-carrotene, but am still flummoxed for jive chives. How many times do you have to grow the two requirements abab?
I planted one dragon fruit and then planted 3 Beanstalks in farms that touched the DF, then replanted Beanstalks until I unlocked it. Didn’t take too many times of replanting Beanstalks until I unlocked it. koala!

I click on them and purposefully turn the iPad over or go to the bathroom or get snacks. I hate videos. I hate them so much I rarely hit the second tshain one. I’m bad. But in this case you get an extra 150/300 a day over the daily limit sooo its required. Sigh
