Rigel seems to be the only Galaxy dragon with an hourglass. I can't find mention of when it will expire, but it was mentioned when it was first released, right? Does anyone remember when it will expire? Usually there is a countdown timer in the News tab or somewhere in event info before dragons expire, but I am not putting much faith in things being done as usual anymore...
It expires with the reset tomorrow, you have a few hours left to get it. If you open the dragon market while in the rift, you'll see the dragon in the market with a timer. For some reason it's not found in the Social - News section.

So, has anyone had luck claiming an egg from the Burcadian cave and getting it as a rift dragon? I bred a starwing in the Burcadian cave because I don’t have a rifty one. I also do not have a twin. If I claim this egg, will it be a rift version, a twin, or just regular? (Not that it really matters I am still TDOL and wouldn’t manage to breed it if I did have a rifty starwing).
As far as I know, it will be a normal twin.But you can check it out first.just press claim and all the dragons that you could get will show up.You can see from the picture if they would be normal, twin, rifted or rifted twin. Just get out by pressing X instead of confirming any dragon.

Woot! I think I hope possibly a Faux, bred w Gkringle (again thanks to The Next Flow comments 😊) unless the sandbox has a time glitch it should possibly hopefully be correct eeek😃 Loads of koalas to all still trying so hard 🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨🐨

The hint to see if you get a new dragon: Check your social settings and look under the dragon icons. If you have the dragon (even if it is being currently bred) it will show. The ones you don't have aren't available.
I would think the chance to claim something from the Burcadian Cave will disappear when the island does, so make sure you claim it before the end of the 14th (the last day of double eggs).
Need some opinions: i have about 23,000 eggs to spend. Should I just buy Pearlescent ( only dragon i dont have), or get the nifty weather station. I bought the 3 Harmonious Habitats and was fortunate enough to breed the other limited dragons. For some reason I never got the weather station and think it could be “cool”, no pun intended.

Weather Station!
I just had the decision of either getting 3 habitats (mono and chrysalis), 1 theme, 1 path, 2 pedestals, 9 decor items OR one dragon. I got the stuff. I’ll get the dragon later. And I passed up on another dragon to get the new habitats. I’ll get it later as well. 😉

the weather station can be helpful if you have problems with crashes. All those stuff flying around (snow, rain, butterflies...) is occupying the processor. If an event is happening usually something is in the air. If you find your system is lagging, turning it off might improve the speed. But you need the weather station to do this.

Jen, It would be more than “cool”, it would be “chilling”! 😎 No pun intended... Sorry, I just couldn’t resist.
Seriously though, my completionist mentality told me to buy the Pearlescent, which I did. I did get the Weather Station earlier. Used it a couple times but haven’t used it in a long time.
Thanks for the advice everyone! It makes me twitch not to have all the dragons but I guess I can breed for him at a later time. The weather station is always pricey in the market but how often would i use it 🤔🤔🤔 i

So in my efforts to gain as many eggs in the last 24 hours as possible, I’ve decided to buy a second of every primary dragon and breed them with my original primary dragons. I haven’t been getting the 100 bonus since yesterday bc of repeats.
Maybe an oversight on my part, but I just realized I haven’t hatched the primary eggs in there— it’s been a fast 100 eggs each time. Hope this helps someone else!
Tip: If you're missing a few hundred eggs to a prize you really want, you can spend an extra 5 gems on the mini-games. Guarantees atleast 40 eggs each time (plus extra eggs many times from chests). I was gonna be about 500-ish short of Pearlescent but this way I will be able to get it without spending real $$$ on eggs:)

Can confirm. I just got notification from my Dragonvale app saying todays the last day to claim your egg.

Kiwichris In Social Settings - Invite Friends. Click on 'change Icon' - you can select any of the dragons that you have available in your park. If you have successfully bred a dragon it will be able to be selected, even if it is still in the breeding stage.

Thanks for sharing this great hint. It's getting harder to be successful with unique breeds to maximise eggs received and I think I'm going to be a bit short to get everything I would like, but so close that I can spend a few gems to get the eggs I need.
I finally broke down and bought the mystery rift chrysalis egg to breed for the pearly thing. First one was a lacewing, which is of no use, so I bought a second one. Little did I know that the price was doubled for the second egg. Well, at least I got a glow wing, which I can then breed for the starwing. After 3 days of breeding up to 20,000 E each day, I finally got a starwing late today. Spent another 20,000 E to transform them into the right traits and started breeding. Spent a few hundred thousand Es (up to 60,000 for a breed), and NADA! They were nice enough to give me a couple of prisms with light trait, which I DON’T need anymore.
Now, I will need to spend my event eggs wisely, still needing 4 of the event dragons and all the habitats. I guess I will buy the habitats and breed the dragons later. Or maybe they will feel sorry for me and award me one of those later from the daily rewards.
