I didn't get any of the 'unlimited' chrysalis dragons, but hopefully when they can be bred I might luck out there. Meanwhile I continue to try in the CBC and hope for the daily log-in eggs to complete my collection (including Rigel which I didn't get despite ~1 million E burned).
My issue with daily log-in eggs is there's no clear definition on what they are. By that I mean are they just regular mystery eggs or mystery eggs that guarantee a new dragon every time (and if you already have them all a new twin). The general consensus is the later but whenever I've asked Backflip I get mixed response. There's been times where I have gotten a repeat, emailed support and been told they can't award me a dragon I didn't already have cause "its just another random mystery egg," other times they award me a new dragon no questions asked.
In 2 days I get my Galaxy Reward egg so in theory it should be Rigel cause I have all others in both regular and twin-rifted form. We shall find out

There was a long period, in the not too distant past, where they removed the guarantee for a new dragon from the daily login egg. There was an uproar, and they eventually put it back.
The issue is that there is an exclusion list of the newest dragons from this egg. It's the same logic you see on eggs of mystery that says 'This doesn't contain the newest dragons' and why the last batch of galaxy mystery eggs couldn't contain a Rigel. Since they don't publish this list, we never know when a dragon will be available. It could take them weeks, or months, after a dragon is taken off the market to remember make it available. I would bet that the Rigel dragon is still not there, and that I'll need to wait an additional 100 days to get this dragon from the login egg. But I still have 18 more days until my Galaxy dragon egg, so maybe there's hope that they'll get to it.

If anyone has seen some lost koalas, they’re mine 😂😭🐨
As far as breeding goes, I was only able to breed a morpho dragon and a gildamine in the coop, and an ovalith in the CBC. Sooo I bought an extra chrysalis habitat that’s sitting empty right now. Hopefully it’ll be filled quickly with limited dragons that won’t be as difficult to get post event!
Help me understand the purpose of traited gem dragons. I don’t grasp their usefulness.
Congrats on the bear. Glad he found his way home
As far as I know, rift-traited gemstone dragons aren't useful, in fact they are less useful than other rift dragons because they have max level 10, so max earning power 15... but I have all the regular rifters, and all the other limiteds currently breedable except a few with locked combos requiring currently unavailable dragons, so I thought I'd give it a try. Of course, just because it isn't currently useful doesn't mean it will never become an absolute necessity, as our game overlords seem likely to keep changing the sacred breeding traditions...
After purchasing Pearlescent, I still don't have Ditto, Faux or Gildamane but am looking at the habitats too. Was only able to breed Morpho and one other. Any advice?
The only way to get them at the moment is to clone them with friends in the CBC.
I am hoping that BFS will make them breedable soon as they did with Cyclamen, Amaryllis etc during this event.
This event wasn't quite as disastrous as I thought it would be. Over two parks, I managed to get all the dragons - bred some, bought some. I hope that I can clone the missing dragons before the next event starts.
I was silly and bought a large Chrysalis Habitat earlier in the event as I thought I wouldn't be able to get enough eggs to buy the new habitats. I bought the new habitats and now have more habitats than dragons to fill them. Hopefully, we will be able to breed rifted versions of the new Chrysalis dragons soon.
Quil thank you for your spreadsheet. It really helped me with deciding which dragons to be breeding in the BBC and maximising the number of eggs.

Last month, I asked Backflip about the contents and pattern of the Daily Reward Mystery Egg. They said you are guaranteed an unowned dragon from the category (Galaxy, Gemstone/Crystalline, Rare, Epic) of the reward mystery egg. In the event you own all the dragons from the category, you are given a randomly selected twin or Rift twin.
If the Daily Reward Mystery Egg follows the same timeframe as the Event Reward Mystery Egg, you should get Rigel. I always save community reward eggs from events because they’re not predetermined, and opening them post-event could result in obtaining one of the recently expired event dragons. After the last event (Gardenia’s Color Guard), which gave us quite a few community reward eggs, I opened one a couple days post-event and received a twin Silverline, the last new limited dragon in the event. (This was almost two weeks before Silverline became permanent on March 31st.) So event dragons are definitely moved to mystery eggs fairly quickly. It’ll be close, but the event is over; Rigel should’ve been relegated to the eggs.
G’luck on your awaiting mystery egg. I really hope you get Riggy. How fantastic would that be! Please let me know which hatchling the egg mystery reveals... waiting with baited breath on seat’s edge.
Edit: a player just posted on Reddit that s/he received Pearlescent from the Rift Epic Egg of Mystery. Things are looking good for you.

Heh. Outside of the brief "Ha, you thought you were getting that new Galaxy/Rift dragon" window I've been trying to get more Rift flutterby dragons with no success (though I've gotten plenty of non-rifted clones). Go to double-check I had a breeding which *could* spit out new results, okay yep, and on the very next breed hey look new result.

Thats good to know. What would be good is if they gave you an unowned twin if you had them all for a given type. Would make us blue-fire chasers lives just a tad easier.
Unfortunately I got a twin-rifted Teidian:( Even tough all "rules" accounted for I should have gotten Rigel especially since the new dragons have already been added into the mystery egg pool. Needless to say I immediately emailed backflip support. I just hope they don't come up with some bs excuse to not give me it. I don't see any legit excuses they could have.

That makes sense. Yes the exclusion list is kind of a grey area. Like you said who knows exactly when they add new dragons into the mystery egg pool. Though in this instance, they did add the new Chrysalis into the mystery egg pool pretty quick as I've seen some people have already gotten Pearlescent from the mystery egg in the rift. SO I would assume Rigel is also in the list and unfortunately I did not get it today via my daily log-in galaxy egg. I emailed backflip support, hoping they pull through.

I think the most likely thing is that the Chrysalis dragons were removed from the exclusion list but that for whatever reason, Rigel wasn't. It's unfortunate (and kind of inconsistent) but I suspect you're going to get a "working as intended" back from that email. Here's hoping that they're feeling kind on this one.

not really, in the mystery egg description it says that it’s possible to get duplicates. So it’s really regular, twin, twin rift, twin rift, twin rift, and on forever.

Well daily log-in mystery eggs are different. It's well established now that they are supposed to give you an unowned dragon of the given category (eg. galaxy mystery egg) unless you have them all, and in that case you would get a random twin.

Yeah I guess they could always take that angle. I think I've gotten the "working as intended" response once before, seems like a popular one lol. However in this case if I do get it, I'm gonna email a counter argument being that people are getting Pearlescent via daily reward egg (have a screenshot of this), a dragon thats technically a few days newer than Rigel so it makes no sense that I didn't get Rigel. I think it's a solid one they'd have a hard time disputing.
