Check them out in the dragonarium. There are actually pedestal requirements to purchase them. The decoration/costume actually has nothing to do with purchasing them.
My dragonarium just says buy w flowers...nothing about pedestals? Do you mean you saw somewhere that we have to buy the pedestal in order to breed them?
Cos otherwise I don’t see the purpose of all the breeding caves, if we can’t breed the new dragons? O dear, Wildly, but Brightly, due to coffee, confused 🙃🥥🌴🥥🌴🥥🌴
When you look at the Dance-off prizes and "click/touch" the sailback and monte dragons you get a message that begins "We're Sorry! In order to purchase this dragon you must have:" and gives 3 criteria

You only see the requirement if you don't meet it. For example, Sailback requires 3 moon, 3 sun, and a sunscorch egg pedestal. I had all of these already, as I collect normal, twin, rift, and rift twin pedestals, so I didn't see the requirement to buy it.

So are yours available to buy with flowers now from the prize place?
Mine originally were not and needed some combination of pedestals to be able to purchase. Don’t remember exactly what it was, something to do with 3sun, 3moon, 1party, 1something else. All I needed was 1 more sun and 1 more moon which I got in the rift and I can now purchase them when I get the flowers. My dragonarium no longer says the pedestal requirements, I don’t know if they changed it or if it was because I met them.
On another note, are the hidden eggs in the dance caves the only dragons we can breed in them? I currently have 4 of them going and they all seem to share the same egg history. If we are limited to the eggs that are hidden, I agree with Kiwichris and don’t see the point. I definitely will not be spending real $ to get runestones if that is true.

Yep mine were buyable and? theoretically breedable ; probably a level thing?
And re multiple event breeding caves, I guess they and the egg history counters are for breeding/ earning flowers...so the choice is whether we try to breed event dragons in them (and I haven’t seen anywhere yet that they are not breedable-but, you know, usual caveats about brainpower😂) or try to breed fast breeding novel dragons (like last time) to earn 🌺🌺🌺🌺 Seems like a lot of work...

PSA for those who have their color turned off: It’s hard to see without color, but there are actually 4 runic breeding caves active (3 plus the one activated with the runestone) rather than just the one turned on during the tutorial. It’s the four on the bottom of the ring.
I thought there was only the one until I saw them in color in one of my smaller parks.

Breeda-buyable with breeada-buyable roses in the breeda-buyable caves. Don’t ask me, not understanding much of this. I am still breeding more of my Barbie dragons, and having loads of fun dressing them up.
So the last breeding cave event had the dragons sped up to 20 percent I believe. According to the data files, it looks like this one is 25 percent and not 20. That certainly changes everything on my spreadsheet for timers. Has anyone confirmed this yet? I'll need to run a longer dragon to verify.
The points calculation will remain the same, but with the longer time we should be getting more points.

I have sent support an email. I have all sun and moon pedestals displayed (even before the event) and also have the party and sunscorch pedestals displayed as well. Thanks for your help with this - I thought it was just because I did not have enough event currency to buy.
Just got home and haven’t even opened the game yet but had to come on here and give a big THANK YOU to our team for getting this up and running! 👏🏻👏🏻🥂👏🏻👏🏻
Complete breeds in the new Runic Breeding Caves! The resulting egg from each breed in a Runic Breeding Cave will be exchanged for Flowers.
Longer breed times will award more Flowers than shorter times, and breeding new dragon types will provide an extra bonus of Flowers. All breeds in Runic Breeding Caves are reduced in time and can be sped up with Gems. Please note that the cost to speed up a breed will increase with each use.
All the dragons you breed in Runic Breeding Caves will be logged in the Egg History, and you can choose ONE of these dragons to keep for each cave that you have activated. You can access your Egg History at any time by tapping on a Runic Breeding Cave, then tapping the "Egg History" icon at the bottom of the screen.
Additional Runic Breeding Caves
Every player will have one Runic Breeding Cave to start with and will be given a bonus Runestone to activate a second cave during the tutorial. This bonus cave will be available to use for a period of one week.
On double Flower days, players will be given an additional cave to breed in. On Triple Flower days, each player will have two additional Runic Breeding Caves available to use. Each cave will generate Flowers, and you can claim 1 free egg from each Runic Breeding Cave you have activated.
You can also purchase Runestones in the Market that will allow you to activate more Runic Breeding Caves. These caves will last for a period of one week from the time of activation. It is important to note that reactivating the same cave will not allow you to select more than one egg to keep from that cave.
This is just their way of making us play their game the whole time. Don’t play other games, check your caves. Seriously, I have a simple life, but life, nonetheless. Urrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Thank you for making this post. It made it all more clear for me. Not that I care, but I think I at least understand this event now.

First thought: is this confusion between the Sun Dragon and Sun element dragons as a group? I can't see the requirement my end, but if it's the former and you thought it was the latter, then that'd explain why you can't buy it.

Chris, if you tap on the dragons as if to buy them on the prize store, it tells you what the pedestal requirements are.

The egg checklist appears to update across all caves. I’m not sure if we get to choose an egg per cave. I bred two plant dragons in two different party caves and I only got the bonus once.
Breeding Target: Ovalith. It's ALWAYS Ovalith! Hoarded gems as a safety net to ensure an Ovalith during BEB, but I'm not sure if I want to spend them: I think I want the thrill of breeding it! Gems wasted on speeding up Ovalith breeding/incubation: 2890

keep in mind that the breedings with the element of the day is even faster (this day: cold, sun, metal)
dragon list (last dragon : Gatren) DV friend id: Crumble#7733 friend link coop friends always welcome, but all my gems are spoken for
It's a Google doc, make a copy of it and plan away. With you own copy, you can click off the checkboxes for the ones completed. This does NOT take into account the faster breed times for some elements on each day. That would require a whole lot more work and input fields with the current elements.

Is there a daily limit on 🌸? As I was collecting from Habitats (I have a lot of Habitats), it seemed as if the 🌸 collected became fewer & fewer but I was still getting them. And I wasn’t paying attention but are we getting 🌸 from Rift habitats?
Reminder to all with older devices: To keep this event from crashing be sure to turn off FIREFLIES in your Weather Station. Don’t have a Weather Station? Buy that first!
